Nice to see someone appreciating us poor under-paid (not at all paid), tortured (more like well-abused) FF writers. 😉😊
To answer your question Srishti, writers often leave their FFs mid-way or are 'slow' to update because of other priorities - stuff like studies, work, illness, emotional stress, family, etc.
Also, sometimes it happens because they don't get a good response - like no writer would like to put up two or even three updates on the same page because no one bothers to appreciate their work...it's just not worth the hard work we put in!
While it is disappointing for the readers, the writers themselves aren't too happy about this. It is just that circumstances are totally unavoidable sometimes, and they don't even get to give a proper ending. And you have to admit that their 'real life' and peace of mind are the most important. And sometimes they just don't know if anyone is even reading and actually appreciating their work, like in the case I mentioned above.
If you are talking particularly of the FFs in this forum, then you probably missed them because most of the FFs have been shifted to the Fan Fiction section - you can still access them through 'My Posts' if you have commented on them before, or through the links in the Archives, or you can PM the concerned writers for the links.
That said, if you really want the FFs to work, please do let the writers know you love and appreciate their work!!😊
