"Final Part"

Both of them were walking towards each other looking into each other's eyes with so much love and passion.

"Piya!"

Their eye lock was broken by a voice.

It was Panchi.

"Panchi, how come you are here? How did you find me?", Piya wondered.

"I know you too well Piya dear! And I have come to take you back!"

"Panchi, just give me 5 minutes. You go ahead, I'm coming. Please?", requested Piya.

Panchi agreed readily. :)

Now Abhay and Piya were alone.

I'll never see him again. She thought with a sigh. Except in my dreams. I must tell him. My feelings are too intense not to share.

Abhay stood directly in front of her, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Um," Piya said, clearing her throat nervously. "I wanted . . ." The words wouldn't come out. She started again, this time mustering up all the courage she had. "Well . . . I wanted to tell you that . . . I've seen you before," she confessed.

"I know," he said, gazing deeply into her eyes and her soul. Then he gently touched her cheek.

Piya gasped.

Abhay ran his fingers through her long hair. "You don't need to explain," he said.

Piya's eyes grew wider. It was real, she thought with amazement. This deep, mystical, electric connection. It was true!

"It was written that Misha would come back," Abhay explained. He held her hands close to his chest. "As it was written that we would meet again."

Does her feel, and has he always felt, the same way about me? Piya wondered. Could it be?

"You, too?" Piya whispered. "I've been dreaming of you so long." Tears welled up in her eyes as she recalled all of the times she had thought of him, wished for him, felt his presence without being able to see him.

Piya reached up and placed her hands on Abhay's strong shoulders.

"If we have loved each other in our dreams, the different worlds will not be able to divide us," he reassured her, placing his hands gently around her waist.

"This feels like a dream!" she cried. More tears threatened to spill over and run down her face. She had to pull herself together.

Abhay looked down sweetly at her. He stroked her cheek just below the eye, catching a teardrop on his finger. Piya looked up at him.

"Do you know what is this?" he asked. The teardrop rested perfectly on the tip of his finger.

"A teardrop?" she offered, unsure of what he was getting at.

"Look closer," he whispered.

Suddenly, the teardrop grew bigger, spreading out and changing shape. Right before her eyes, it morphed into a gorgeous, white lily. It shone and sparkled like a diamond. Abhay held it out to Piya.

"It is a promise," he said.

Piya thought she was going to faint. She couldn't believe what was happening. She hugged Abhay tight, feeling his warm, comforting sweetness. What a special feeling!

"One day, we'll meet again." He reassured her. He embraced her again, and she wanted to freeze that moment, that feeling of being safe and secure in Abhay's arms.

Behind her, Piya could hear Panchi speak. "Piya! I guess you asked for 5 minutes and not 5 days!"

Piya squeezed Abhay's hand one last time and turned to go. She could feel his gaze on her back as she walked slowly away from him towards Panchi. She felt many emotions – bliss, hope, sorrow, love.

As she brought the white lily up to her nose, she took a deep breath. It smelled more beautiful than anything she had ever smelled before.

Still feeling woozy from her embrace with Abhay, she felt as if she'd just gotten off a roller coaster.

"Ahem," Panchi coughed. "We can go now."

And off they went, back to their world.
