Greetings! Howdy? (:

Well, I was just thinking how irrelevant and random can one be when this thing struck me. The punch over here is all vague as I am not pretty sure what I am up to with this discussion. But I had taken this up and I can't bottle craziness up anymore, I am making this, hence. Reasonable, uh?

I shall be all to-the-point now.

Emotions. Emotions. Ah. This show is all loaded with emotions. Complex ones, on that. But figuratively, all this saga is about can pretty much be summarized and stated as just 'emotionally complex'.

Emotions ride people in this show. Human or no human is out of the question, mind you. The most emotion-ridden of all is Sid, any day. Anger and hatred are emotions, principal ones and they are the reason why Sid exists. There's some goodness underneath, I hope and I know there is but this overshadows it all. Tonight, Sid couldn't comprehend anything out of Abhay's action. Anyhow, he screamed and mourned a while (like when Panchi turned up, what a dumb ass she is. Sigh. ) but then, out of nowhere ' he started to take up on blood compelling its kind. The dialogue he delivered in the precap.

Haseena is out of her head these days, she loves her sons. Abhay has always been out of his mind, he is a kind undead. Pia is a helpless teenager who the writers twist and turn and play rugby with, just as they like. She messages her sister with 'hints' in all good intentions, but eventually gets bitten by her vampire love, trying to defend her sister's 'lover' and simultaneously helping her own conceal his identity. How miserable!

Basically, emotions run this place. Emotions are being pumped into Misha too, emotions nobody really is interesting in witnessing. Acting is cool. Characters have potential. The dialogue writers are heavenly. But the main punch ' emotions, how much do they stand a chance to you as viewers?

Do you manage to understand what the vampire family is up to? Why and how exactly Sid and Haseena and Abhay feel the way they do?

Secondly, what is your favorite emotion showcased? Like in my case, the friendly campus scenes and the family-ish Dobriyal scenes. Sometimes even Abhay and Sid's emotions because they're interesting.

Lastly, do you buy this? How Abhay was just for a second flooded with emotion and he did Pia the honor of biting her? She would have never, in her wildest dreams imagined that fangs of a vampire would bite her, and not the general front of the usual human set of thirty-two ' okay, I am getting dirty and irrelevant. Sorry.

The whole emotional thing in this serial is pretty complex. So is my discussion's topic. But still be kind enough to hit the Like if my words just reflect to your eyes, you find them pleasing or useless or something ' it's okay if you dun understand, though. And discuss, please.

Regards,

Kankshita

OMG! How beatifully written, really! And it definately deserves more than 2 likes! 👏
And I 100000% agree in every each word you just wrote, this show is an emotion bomb and that do reflect on the viewers. Everytime I have watched an episode of PKYEK my face is full of happiness (and sometimes sorrow when something emotional happens)! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!! 😃 ❤️

Thank you, that's really gracious of you.
My post isn't actually about this emotion of love that you have for the show. But anyway, yes - sometimes the show really kinda cracks me too. Although, even in general when am watching TV - my face changes expression in mini-seconds. 😆

Most dramas, yes - all emotion-based. But I dint get what you meant here. Enlighten me!

AbhIya? I like them too, on and off - I think they are pretty hopeless and I feel just helpless for them. So their emotion according to me is sheer helplessness. 🤔

And hey, thanks a lot. (:

Kankoo, your post is a thought-provoking labyrinth, girlie.

I , for one , react to characters more than relationships in fiction. Going by the nature of my job, I am taught to concentrate on characters because they are the backbone of writing , be it novels, television, films.

For me, characterwise , its Abhay who gets my attention and emotional radar. Rest are like ping pong balls in the hands of the writers. I would like to know the emotional button of Sid as well, if there is any.

What's your job? Writer or something? 😲

Sid. I just watched the new promo wherein he attacks Panchi. It was so bizarre of him, you know? And, yes. I like Abhay too. He's not changed, that makes him my favorite too. Though, he isn't blessed with the kind of dialogue Sid is, he's unlucky - in just so many ways. Poor Abhay! 🥱

Very interesting DOTW - Kanky. Thought-provoking. Yes, this show is very high on emotions - all kinds.

When I read your topic, my first question to myself was how do these emotions affect me as a viewer. I am still pondering over that.

Then I thought further - do I notice them at all? The immediate answer was - yes, I do. How? Well, I am affected by them throughout so, I do notice them. Sometimes, I feel the same emotions as the characters are feeling and sometimes, it is emotions that are result of what characters are feeling. A bit complicated sentence but that is straight out of my mind (without editing😆)

So, yeah, coming back to emotions on the show. I guess, the most powerful for me is the pain.

Abhay's undying eternal pain. It seems that this particular emotion keeps hovering throughout - whatever happens.

Then the next in line are Pia's love and trust. This love is so powerful that it seems everything melts in front of it. She may get confused about many things but she is always clear about her love for Abhay.

Scare and hatred are two emotions that clearly remind me of Sid. Before Sid came, I felt these two emotions for Chandeena as they were always mystery. After Sid's entry, they seem saints in front of him. Sid also gives panic attack like in yesterday's precap when he was about to attack Birdie. I love Sidhant's portrayal of this character.

Motherly love & fears, jealousy, joy, fun all of them are enough in Mount college or at the Dobriyal or R's families.

Would love to know how others feel about it.

Swee-eet, nice, uh!

The undying pain of Abhay. Sigh. That reaches out to me pretty bad too. However, even though as am watching the show - all the happenings act upon me, but the time is constrained. I dun usually think much bout the whole thing unless it's something really that huge.

Kabir is a one-sided lover over here, and I think I gotta soft corner for him. His character doesn't have much scope, nor does he come up and out in importance anytime in future - his character appeals to me. Apart from him, the other friends Pia has got have a certain charisma associated with them too. They all run like they are being written and it gets nonsensical sometimes, but they all seem fine and cute people to me - they aren't outrageous like the basic plot of the story is, it is deep and defiling. Dobriyal sisters bring some kind of woman power or something like that to the show. These people light up the atmosphere, and I like them.

Abhay and his family are queer people but they have all gotten pure hearts, that is what the shows puts up. It applies to even Sid, I think. He's a very hopeful man, and for that hope to be alive - there has to be goodness somewhere at the corner of his heart, much forgotten.

And Abhay and Pia sometimes make not much sense to me. But they're cool, I would say. I like that unwavering thing in Pia, and Abhay's dialogue kind of bores me, he's bloody helpless - but his character has managed the same intrigue which it held right in the beginning. That's why I like him.

And thank you!
