Misinterpretation 3a: Piashree to Piyali
I saw many posts on this concern - even this week somebody asked it as a query. Fans are not able to understand that how everybody in the show seems to have forgotten that Pia's name was Piashree and not Piyali. Even her own father doesn't remember it.

Explanation & reasoning: This is about quality assurance. Piyali always sounded better and more next-gen than Piashree. You remember, how EK had fired the writers for not living upto her expectations - insider story is that the name thing was one of the main reasons for it. You need to give credit to EK that she is working so hard to live up to our expectations. Okay, this is how it goes, the earlier writer called Suku as Piashree which sounded very old name and didn't go with the theme of the show. The very same writer called Viv as Abhay. Now, tell me how can a name like Abhay belong to the 18th century. By the time EK realised, it was too late and show was already on the air. Now these things had to be fixed. So, they used the memory alteration or memory charms on the show characters to forget Piashree. But Abhay's name was fixed with simple logic (again) by linking it to Abhayendra as older name and Abhay as more recent. As neither memory charms nor memory alteration can be used remotely, they couldn't alter the memory of audience.
For those who don't know - A Memory Charm is a spell used to erase some or all memories from an individual's mind (from Harry Potter). And Memory Alteration is a Vampire power to change memories (from TVD)

P.S. Earlier I was thinking that name conversion was a short term memory loss but realised later that this is more than that. It was long term memory loss which can only be achieved by memory charms or memory alteration.
I will be coming back with an explanation around Shaurya Chauhan to Shaurya Khanna

Yes audience will be immune to it very soon otherwise EK will have to use super duper memory alterations with the audience. The only problem is that the memory charms have their limitations of remote access. Thus, EK is stuck with depending on audience's immunity.
