(Pia's POV )
I was trying to forget it. I was trying to forget the small pathway around the fields. The darkness. The angelic guy standing there. The gush of wind stronger than the storm. The guy disappearing. I was trying to forget all of it. But my brain wasn't helping me. It kept on replaying images.. images of me entering the pathway, of me seeing him, of me being blown away by a strong force, and the guy disappearing. Again and again. The same images.
What had I done after that? Like any other normal human, I had run. Run faster than I had ever run in my life. And in my haste and hurry, I forgot my bags in the darned forest-pathway thing. And there was no way I was going back there again.
''Pia?'' Misha snapped her fingers in front of me. ''Hello?''
''Um, yeah.'' I fell back into reality. Sitting in the classroom. ''I was just thinking…Misha, I lost my bags. ''
''What?'' Her mouth fell back into a big O. ''Yuppie, now I have got an excuse.. you can stay with me in my house.''
''No…'' I insisted. ''I cant stay with you. I hardly know you since 5 minutes.''
''So what? We have our classes together. And you will get to know me completely in the whole day.'' Her grin got wider. ''It would be so much fun, na?''
''Umm..but I don't know your family or anything.'' I tried to think of more reasons. ''And..I don't have stuff to wear or anything.''
''Arre.. you will know them once you meet them.'' She grinned to me. ''And you don't have clothes means you should so stay with me.''
''Uh fine you win.'' I threw my hands up. ''Gosh!''
We both started laughing and my gaze shot to the doorway. And I saw him. Again. The office guy.
His gaze bore into mine and for a second I saw a flicker of recognition there. Like he was expecting to see me..or he wanted to see me. Or maybe I am just hallucinating.
His gaze shot to misha. And I don't know if I am right but I noticed fear in his eyes. Hardcore panic. It looked like he will fall back any second. He kept staring at her for 5 seconds and rushed outside.
Misha followed my gaze and saw him running. ''What?''
''Uh-huh. Nothing.''
''No.. what? Tell me?''
''He.. you know that guy who was just standing over there?''
''Hmm..no? what about him?''
''He..'' I didn't know how to quite put this. ''It looked like he was staring at you.. and panicked, sort of.''
''Panic?'' She started laughing. ''Panic? On seeing me? Really? Wow.''
My gaze shot to the doorway again. Expecting to see him again. But what I saw surely aroused panic and fear in my eyes.
The guy. Not the hot attractive office guy. But the angelic guy. The guy I saw standing in the forest. The same brown eyes. The same short black hair with spikes over.
But I don't think he noticed me. Or I am grateful he didn't notice me. His gaze was fixed to Misha for the all time. And he kept staring at her..like a person stares at something he/she has been wanting to achieve since a lifetime.
His gaze flicked to mine, and then again to misha. And then back to the office guy who was standing right behind him. They stared at each other again..Then at misha. Then at me.
I don't think Misha noticed this stare game. She had her back to the doorway, and she was chatting about some bimbos she had encountered in the doorway.
The office guy stared at me. The deep gaze boring into mine. Again so strong I felt my knees giving in. But I didn't give up. I kept staring, hoping to catch something more than flickers of recognition and pain.
He turned back to the forest guy. It looked like they were communicating in their minds.. I am not saying that's possible, but you know, I watch a hell lot of movies.
Okay, I think I should have been scared, with both of them staring at Misha and me like we had transported from some 18th century. But it felt.. familiar. Like I was used to having them around. Like..i don't know. It felt.. strangely comfortable.
(Abhay's POV )
I had been searching for that girl since morning. Checked every classroom. Every hall. Cafeteria. Washrooms. Everything.
But yet, when I crossed this particular room, I felt a strange aura..like someone calling me. You know how you feel when you smell your favourite food. It kinda calls you, attracts you. This sense felt exactly like that.
I looked inside. I think I would have grinned and rushed over to her if I was a normal human. Infact this is the moment I'd always been waiting for. But today, after a lifetime of experience, I knew we should always assure it is safe - for both of the parties - before meeting them.
My gaze shot to the girl next to her. I could only see her from the back. She turned and I saw a frame of her face. But it was enough. I knew who she was. But I couldn't believe it. It can't be possible. Okay, probably you expect me to start believing in this stuff more since I am a supernatural too. But..a girl who looked exactly like a girl who died 200 years ago. Not possible. Or..destiny?
Speaking of destiny, did Kabir know this? It was hard to tell what he would do. Kill her because she reminded him of nisha all along? I can't be sure.
I noticed misha turning around and I stumbled back, away from the doorway. What's the proof that she isn't nisha? Or even if she is, is she back for revenge…against people who separated her from kabir? Is she against me? Like I said, I never approach people until I am sure about safety – theirs and mine.
Kabir bumped into me face-first.
''Kabir..you…'' I wiped my hand across my forehead. There was no sweat. Damn. Being a vampire suck at times.
''I know. Misha, with a M, looks like nisha. Completely like nisha.'' He said. He said it so calmly as if he is just telling me that a edition of newspaper resembles another newspaper. It didn't feel like he was talking about the girl he was crazy for since 200 years.
We both watched her from the doorway to see any signs that she remembers us.. Well,atleast he did. My gaze kept flicking to Pia. Her big brown eyes, confused, staring at us with a frown. I looked into her eyes, deep, but she didn't budge. I almost felt the urge to smile, but not yet.. Just not yet.
Kabir teleported a 'she doesn't know me'. Yes, we can talk through our minds. Cool,huh? I know. But we can't read each other's thoughts. We can only read what the other person wants us to read.
I teleported back a 'how can you be so sure?'
'Coz I am sure. She doesn't know me. If u want, just pass next to her and I bet she wouldn't notice. I know she isn't nisha. I feel no strange connection here.'
I trusted Kabir enough in this matter. I knew if I pointed out the fact that she isn't her supposed soulmate, he would get angry and blast off. So I nodded a 'mhmm' in my brain.
I looked at pia, once again. And we both entered the classroom.
Okay, I know I promised a AbhIya part, but this Misha thing needed to be cleared for both of the vampires, and as you can see, the classroom scene ain't ended yet. So don't worry. 😊
