You sure do love the rain..I've noticed this a lot of times before! I love playing in the rain too so it's totally awesome! I've noticed one more thing..for some weird reason..every time it rains I happen to stumble upon one of your FF's or OS's..weird isn't it?!😕

As a matter of fact...it's raining today..and it's going to be raining tomorrow as well..I'm very excited!

Awesome intro!! I love the fact that they're married but are still friends..it's going to be really nice to read about how they fall in love!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She stepped out of the car slowly. The cold crystal hit caressed her body as she got exposed to them in the open. She looked up towards the heavens and a smile crept up on her beautiful face. Closing the door of the car, she distanced herself from the world around her and few into the world of rain. She twirled around on the vacant road next to the car. The joy and happiness that she got from the rain was unexplainable.
It was already been 2 hours since their car broke down. That too on a vacant road. So much for taking a shortcut to reach home quicker. Both Shashank and Kajal were tired of sitting there looking for a lift or a car. How pathetic.
He watched her get out of the car in frustration. But he wasn't surprised to witness the change in her mood the minute the soft petals touched her skin. Her love for the rain was something he loved admiring. It was just too delightful to watch her play in the rain.
Gently opening his own door, Shashank stepped out of the car. As the petals caressed his face, a smile automatically formed on his face. Gently closing the door, he walked towards his wife. But when he looked at her this time, up close, just inches away from him, a tingling feeling formed in his heart. What was it? He thought.
The soft gentle petals of rain turned into vigorous crystal of the rain. Both bodies were totally soaked with the water. Their clothes were drenched completely. The sudden force of chill ran through their bodies as the stood out in the open.
She had her back faced to him. Even then, he knew that she looked beautiful. She always looked beautiful no matter what. The smooth fabric of her yellow colored churidar was hugging her body. Her dupatta was stuck tightly around her neck with one end almost touching the ground. The silver border around her dupatta glittered by the radiance from the moonlight. Her long, silky hair was mixed with the crystals and it formed soft curls. Her posture was quite straight. Her head was slightly tilted upwards inviting the rain drops to touch her.
How much his heart wished to be those rain drops touching her skin? But he couldn't do that. True that she was legally his wife. But they both were best friends above all. He had loved her since like forever. But that didn't mean that he had to tell her and make her feel awkward. Of course not! He would never tell her the truth. He loved the way they both lived. She was always helping him with everything. He was always helping her whenever she needed him. They were truthful to each other and they always shared all their feelings.
But he was still disappointed with himself. He wasn't able to give her her siblings. He had promised her that he would find them and unite them. But how? He knew how much she missed them.
She was only 5 when she got separated from her siblings. Her mother had died in giving birth to her youngest sibling Mishty. Her father had died few months back in an accident. She was sent to an Orphanage with her younger sister, younger brother, and older brother. One by one, each of them got adopted by a family, separating the four souls from each other. Kajal had gotten adopted by Shashank's dad's best friend Rahul and his wife Meera. But when she was only 19, her parent's died in a major plane crash. Both Rahul and Meera had loved her more then anything. They had given her all her wants and needs. But even with all the luxuries she got from her rich father, she remained to be a decent girl who respected her values, her culture, and everyone around. After this incident, Shashank's dad Raj Sharma took up all the responsibilities into taking good care of her. Raj and his wife Preeti were quite attached to her. Anyone would be. She was just too sweet to not be liked. As time passed by, Shashank and Kajal became best friends. Seeing that, Raj and Preeti decided to have her as the bahu. Both of them were totally confused. But they didn't have anyone else in their life so they went for it. They married for Raj and Preeti's happiness.
He still remembers the divine day when he saw his angel. He had never seen such a beautiful girl ever in his life. But what made him like her even more was her simplicity. She wore make-up to a minimum with an eye-liner and a light colored lip gloss. Her soft, creamy skin was flawless. Her entire face was flawless. She was way ahead of those plastic materialistic girls who have always been after him for his looks and not to forget, his money. But this girl only looked at his heart. Never caring about the way he looked or the money he had under his arms. She only befriended him because of his sweet nature that appealed to her. She felt comfortable with him and he was glad for that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She felt his presence around herself. But she didn't want to face him. As the warm tears sizzled down her frosty cheeks, she let out her cry for her siblings. She wanted to be with them. She wanted to know if they were okay or not. The rain symbolizes their presence in the world, their presence being close to her. Only if she could find them.

But she didn't want to show these tears to him. He would catch her instantly. And then she would make him feel all depressed. She always wants her husband to be happy. He has done so much for her. She knows how hard his life is right now. With the death of his father two years, she had supported him all throughout his pain. He had done the same to her when her parents died.

Wiping away the tears, she came back to reality. She decided to go back into the car. But when he turned, she saw him standing in front of her. He greeted her with a big smile. She smiled back to him. But soon his smile turned into a frown being formed on his face.

SHIT! He caught her again. Why does he always do that? It puzzles her on how he can always see how she is feeling.

"Why are you crying?" His voice was husky and it came out as a soft whisper. He moved closer to her and held onto her shoulders gently. "Are you okay?"

Seeing his concern for her, she could feel herself as being the luckiest girl ever in this world. She placed her hand over his hand which was resting on her left shoulder.

"I'm fine. It's just the rain." She said softly. She gave him a reassuring smile.

"Why do even try to lie when you know you can't. Now tell me, you're missing them right? But I promise I'll find them. No matter what. Just don't cry." His concern filled her heart. Why does he have to be so sweet to her? She couldn't hold herself any longer. The tears flowed out of her eyes. This time they weren't for her siblings. But they were for him. This guy was always there for her. But she felt as if he deserved someone better and her. He deserved a better wife.

To ease her pain, he pulled her into a hug and tried to stop her from crying. After a while, she did stop and they both parted.

He decided to lighten the atmosphere so he decided to pull her leg as he always did.

"You know something. Tumhara roona bhi Ravinder Singh ki tarah hai. Slow and steady. Never ending" He saw her gape in anger and he decided to make a run for it. He ran around his car again and again. She kept following him but was unable to catch him. When she finally got tired, he stopped running and cautiously went up to her. She was leaning against the bonnet of the car. When she saw him coming closer, she filled her hand with the rain water and when he was close enough, she splashed the water right onto his face. Seeing his hideous look, she cracked up.

Seeing her smile was always a relaxing factor for him. He loved her smile.

"Happy. Now we're equal." He said and came to sit next to her. They were both waiting for someone to at least come. In a distance, a light flashed and they both got up. The car came closer and closer. Then they realized that it was a police car. Thank God! No they would be able to get home.

That was absoluety Brilliant!

I loved how he was able to distinguish between the rain and her tears... And how he cheered her up at the end.
Same with Prateeksha, how she just felt his presence.
Nice chapter, please do continue asap.
