I think aarthi is widow and to protect herself from some evil people in the society she pretending as a married woman and as she find yash as genuine and caring and she likes him as well so she wanted to know what yash feels for her in this way... this is my guess shanthi...

Final Part

Aarti smiled again.

Yash: Please tell me quickly!

Aarti: She is Arushi my twin! She is married and settled abroad with her husband.

Yash: Did I meet her ever?

Aarti: Yes a few times.

Yash: Now this isn't fair. I have met two people looking the same and I have been thinking I've just met one --- that is Aarti. Why was this game being played with me, may I know?

Aarti looks down and talks seriously now: I saw you first and somehow liked you. I did not know how to approach you because of my condition (Here Aarti points to herself ---especially her clothes and the white attire!). But then soon afterwards I saw that there were two little children who were with you---your daughters. I spoke to Arushi during one of her visits and she helped me by meeting you on a few occasions to see if you were a decent guy.

Yash by now was nodding and smiling ---both! He thought --- A test taken by a sister!

Aarti continued: After she knew that you were like a safe person to be with, I started meeting you dressed like her. It was difficult for me to apply sindoor and all --- you understand don't you? But there was no other way of getting to know you more and more.

Yash by now was relaxing and waited to hear her out fully.

She was just a smart girl!

He knew there had to be more to it!

Aarti: Finally when we were sure, she asked me to present myself to you as I am so that's why now-a-days I come like this.

Yash: You still haven't told me why you came as Arpita?

Aarti: Because I got to know that your deceased wife's name was Arpita and that you really loved her so much isn't it?

Yash: Yes. I did love Arpita a lot!

Aarti saw that Yash was getting a little sad thinking of her.

Aarti: I'm sorry Yash for reminding you of her. I thought maybe after hearing her name you would continue to meet me even though I was a widow as you had already liked my look alike.

Yash: No that's alright Aarti. But now that you have told me everything so honestly before we proceed into marriage, I too have to say something.

Aarti: Sure Yash you can tell me.

Yash was just about to talk when Palak and Payal came there: Chachu ---- chachu!!!

Aarti saw them calling him as Chachu and was shocked.

Yash hugged them and introduced Aarti to them: These are my adorable nieces. Palak, Payal, this is Aarti! How do you like her?

Both of them saw her and said: She is pretty.

Yash: Okay kids you go and play. I'll come in a few minutes.

They left.

Aarti: Oh, so they aren't your kids?

Yash: No, they are my brother's daughters. But after Arpita's demise I treat them as my own as I had decided not to marry again.

Now Yash looks at Aarti and says: Only till I met you Aarti. But now I wish to marry you.

Aarti was a little happy internally that he wasn't a father --- after all. But she did not mind that either as he was an adorable guy she had met! But now it was even better for her!

Aarti said: Yash, after you have started this topic of marriage so many things are revealing itself --- isn't it?

Yash: Yes, you need to know one more thing Aarti.

Aarti was now surprised that one more aspect of his had to be revealed by him??!!!!

Yash: I hope that does not upset you but I need to tell you that I haven't been married at all. I was to marry Arpita but she passed away and I decided not to marry at all. I generally tell everyone that I'm married and show these kids as mine because I don't want all kinds of girls trying to pursue me. Aarti, you are not like any of those and that's why I like you.

Yash now adds: Though I am surprised that you too tested me in your own way to see how genuine I was as a gentleman! But I can understand, in today's world one has got to be careful --- so it is okay. That does not change my decision to marry you ---- Arpita or Aarti whatever you call yourself as!

Aarti on hearing all this was so relieved and she sat in the most comfortable position and was breathing peacefully.

Yash: Why are you looking so relaxed? That too all of a sudden?

Aarti: Yash, I need to tell you something similar.

Yash's opened his eyes wide as Aarti kept looking at him with a smile.

By now both of them had read each other's expressions well.

Yash: Aarti??? You too?? Unmarried?

Aarti nods and now feels shy.

Yash could never imagine that he could meet someone so sweet yet so smart and despite all the tests she took to study his character, he saw in her a lovely lady waiting to meet her dream man!

Yash moved forward and made a little noise coughing.

Aarti looked up at him.

Yash: So it's the first time for both of us?!

Aarti softly says: Yes Yash. And I am sorry.

Yash: Oh --- no problems at least now I know so much more about you and I am excited to see the tests you take as a wife too!!!!

Aarti: Unfortunately I could not take those tests before marriage!!!!

Saying this Aarti looked at him with a naughty smile!

Yash moved even closer to her. Aarti moved a little back.

Yash moved one more step forward. Aarti moved back.

Now Yash did NOT move forward.

Aarti who was expecting him to, moved back again but then found that he wasn't near her.

She looked up and saw him too taking steps backwards.

They both looked at each other.

Aarti now moved forward and Yash waited for her to come closer and as she reached near him he started her trick of moving backwards.

Aarti stopped. Yash stopped too!

Then both were fed up of this game and moved forward at the same time colliding into each other!

That was their first touch ---- chest to chest!

Before Aarti could move away Yash held her gently.

Aarti was looking downwards.

Yash: May I hug you Aarti?

Aarti: That's what makes you different from all others!!!

She looked at him and said: I love you Yash!

Yash smiled and took her in his arms never to be separated from her ever!!!

Yash and Aarti got married and she never stopped testing him in different ways even after that ----- in fact, he waited eagerly for the next test to be conducted by his adorable wife!
