Sidra: I LOVE your gifset of Kratika's first appearance as Aarti! Whenever I watch that song or see gifs of the sequence, I always begin to smile - because that is how infectious Kratika's smile is. That is how powerful Aarti's optimism, love, and fighting spirit is! Before I start going into Nostalgia Mode, I'll change tracks and say that I love your comment, too, because every word of it rings true for me as well. As a viewer who caught a glimpse of her and then was so impressed that I ended up growing immensely attached to her personality and her acting abilities, I can safely say that if it weren't for PV-ZMD and the creative minds behind it, I wouldn't have encountered Kratika until much, much later, if at all. Just thinking about where I would've been if I hadn't seen those promos makes me cringe. And perhaps Kratika is underrated and not as recognized...but I feel like so many thousands worldwide do know her...as P2, as their Jhansi Ki Rani Laxmibai...and now maybe as Aarti, too. It is sad to see true shining talent and dedication be overlooked while exaggerated "acting" seems to have become the norm...But thankfully, there are women like Kratika in the entertainment industry, though they may be few and far apart, who genuinely inhabit their characters' skins and understand the mindset of the women they are supposed to bring to life. She made her presence felt in the industry through her previous work...let's see what is destined for her next!

MJ: What you said about Kratika's Aarti bringing magic to all of us is so, so true, my friend! She did make Aarti into a real woman by combining the creatives' words, the directors' visions, and her own interpretations in a way that molded "Aarti the character" into "Aarti the woman" over the course of the past year and a half. I am so thankful that I started watching PV-ZMD because Kratika's performances have raised the standard constantly - she IS the highest standard among her contemporaries...And I do feel that she left most of them behind a long time ago.

palbhar: I love your username, but have you ever divulged your name/alias to us? Just curious, no obligation to say it! 😊
"Our Aarti..." I agree with you about that - except that Yash would probably tell us, "First and foremost, she is MY "Aartiji"...after that, she is "Mumma" to 4 beautiful children...and then she can be everyone else's 'Aarti.'"
Ever since I saw the promos for PV, I felt that there was something different about the two lead characters of this show. Something more complex, more intricately layered. The first episode, introducing Aarti, strengthened that feeling. I couldn't see her as a typical "seedhi saadhi" "sati savitri" type character who was one-dimensional and extreme...I didn't see her as "too chirpy" or "too docile" or "too feisty" - she always seemed to embody a mixture of some of the traits that could be associated with stereotypical Indian TV characters. Aarti had sprinklings of certain "cliched" traits, but only so much of each, and that made her just as real as any other young woman I'd meet on the street or at a community event. That was refreshing. And I have always loved the PV-spin that the creatives, directors, and actors gave to scenarios that seemed cliched but ended up being unique purely because of the collaboration of the PV Team. It has been a great journey indeed!

Edit: Congratulations on the 8th KS AT, everyone! 🤗 Love you all!

Hey everyone! Aw, new thread for us! 🥳Just caught up with the tail-end of thread 7 and saw some interesting discussion. I always miss the good stuff. 😆

Just saw the pics of Kratika and Gurmeet with the picture book/albums that were sent to them. I'm glad they got them. And the book looks great! 😃

By the way, Borna, I've been reblogging and liking quite a few Kratika-Gurmeet/Aarti-Yash related posts from your Tumblr. 😳 😆 There's a dearth of Punar Vivah-related gifs and pics on Tumblr. We have so much artwork in the Creative Gallery and a lot of that could have been transferred to a Tumblr site for Punar Vivah months ago. Now, in my state of Kratika-Gurmeet/Aarti-Yash withdrawals, I'm prowling around for gifs. If I was a giffer, I would have started a Tumblr for them.

Hopefully some brave soul starts a Tumblr repository just for gifs/sigs/recaps now as we're planning a forum-wide rewatch soon. More Yash-Aarti pretty needs to be on Tumblr.

I asked Kirthi if I could have a copy of the book! 😆 It looks so, so pretty! I want one. *pouts* Kratika and Gurmeet are lucky souls...Our love is in those pages and those pictures and messages...but I hope they realize that the love put into making that book is only a tiny fraction of the love and regard that we have for them! 😳 I loved seeing their smiles in those set pictures. Spent about 5 minutes simply "AWWW!"ing to myself as I looked at them! ❤️

Hah! I was wondering if you were going to say something at some point, Jac! 😆 I went to my dashboard and saw a stranger reblogging some stuff, and I was like, "Who is this?! Nobody knows me here!" And then I did some investigating and had the largest smile on my face when I found out who that stranger was! 🤗

There was supposed to be a Yash-Aarti/GK appreciation blog (correction: there is one, but it has a certain other couple's stuff on it now as well and IMHO it looks tainted now) but I think it has possibly been abandoned...If I had my laptop working, I would've been learning how to make creations by now, and I would've giffed a ton of scenes. *sigh* We could have made it a collaborative project! We still can...

Omg congrats guys! That's what happens when you send your laptop for servicing knowing that there are so many wonderful people posting all the time! Missed out on such great stuff! Nahin!! :( Anyways, I would be back soon, hopefully! Till then, keep rocking. And how gorgeous does our AT look? <3 Thank you to those who have made this place so beautiful! :)

Oh yes and I agree, Kratika sure is underrated but I would like to think that she has gotten a lot more appreciation after doing Punar Vivah and I am sure she would continue to get more love and appreciation because true talent would be recognised and rewarded, no matter how long it takes! Here's wishing this wonderful lady lots of success. Come back soon Kratika, we are already missing you! :(

Edit -
Borna, you have Tumblr? You make creations as well? -____- And you never shared them here? </3

And we're missing you, too, Anu! 🤗

*Kratika-style* Arrey, nahi! I said if my own laptop was working, then I'd have been learning how to make stuff! But that is not the case, my dear...I have to call tech support soon and figure out if I have to send them my laptop...😳 We may have even more in common soon.

But...that said, I have wanted to gif almost every Yash-Aarti moment from PV-ZMD (and stuff from my other favorite shows) for a long, long time now, so I am seriously considering making Tumblr blogs now so that when I do learn how to make stuff, I can post them...

I can't blame you for wanting a copy, Borna. It looks so pretty. Hopefully, we can see larger pics of it. Oh, I know. I hope they know that indeed. If they knew how much we're missing them as Yash and Aarti already.

Hah! I was wondering if you were going to say something at some point, Jac! 😆 I went to my dashboard and saw a stranger reblogging some stuff, and I was like, "Who is this?! Nobody knows me here!" I knew you would be wondering. 😆 I was going through major withdrawl so I popped up on Tumblr and began hunting Yash-Aarti down, then stumbled upon your blog. 🤗 We need more Yash-Aarti fans over there. On the appreciation blog, I think I know the one you're talking about. I saw the header, then looked at the content and got really confused. IA, I like the idea of us making a Tumblr site for them now. Even if it's a little late, the fact that most of us or, at least, some of us are planning a rewatch anyway seems like a good time to do it. I'll be reblogging like a mad woman. 😆 How would we go about making it a sort of group project? Or would it be better if one person manages it herself/himself?

Anu, hey, hey! 😃 Glad you popped in for a little while. Hope you get your laptop sorted out soon.

Heya MJ!

😃
Oh...Tumblr is a blogging site...most people upload images and animated gif files on there, but you can post pretty much anything there, I think!

And the book is The PV-ZMD Photo Book that we sent in our messages for...For Gurmeet and Kratika!
