Indu.. firstly congrats on the new thread but it came not as a surprise as samarpan is a beautiful following and is bound to rake in many readers.

Ah so I was right.. Yash is still in doubt due to previous heartbreak so he's putting aarti to the "test". Though he doesn't know her much, his possessiveness is already evident when he couldn't bare another man grabbing aarti's hand. I absolutely loved the way Yash was speaking to Payal in such a loving manner even though she technically isn't blood related to him.. Now that is what I call true and pure love; a love born from the heart without any prior bondage.

Again aarti is still lost in her past. People say if you want to move on in life, forget your past and look at the future but it isn't that simple when your present is haunted by your past and your future is filled with fear of the unknown. Aarti's fears, insecurities and deep hurt is probably killing her from inside out and thus she seems lifeless in the eyes. I wouldn't blame her after going through such traumatic events. Even for me when someone I really love says hurtful and insensitive things, I'll be crying my eyes out (alone) and be so hurt that I'll try to have minimum convo with that person as it hurts bad. This is what I call holding on to the past in which we don't want to let it go due to anger, ego, pain or whatever negativity going on inside us. The day aarti lets go of this will be the day she will be completely free.

Again my dearest Indu, this was beautifully written. I don't know how in the world you manage to write with such flow that it's so easy to read and each line connects to another and all your past chapters with such perfection. Samarpan is developing to be a story that is always on my mind that when I'm alone, I think of it and when I'm with friends I talk about it. So here again is my jhappi to my favourite writer in this forum...🤗

Btw Indu I would like to ask your permission to use this sentence as my facebook status if you don't mind that is Surrender is the path to freedom through our unique authenticity,
where we experience the flow of life not through the narrow lens of the mind,
but through the vast refuge of the heart

Thanks for the vote of confidence Sheema. Love you... 🤗

Firstly, of course you can use the quote wherever you want. It's not mine...I picked it up from a book that I have.

Yash doubts his instincts, simply because they have failed him earlier. However, the point that he is missing is that just because he has had a few bad encounters in life doesn't mean that there's something wrong with his sense of judgment. Having said that, one can understand where he is coming from. He is a romantic by heart, that's why girls were able to fool him. Today he can't take any risk with his choices, especially the biggest choice, because it will affect not only him but also his daughter. So he can't be really blamed for being overcautious.

Aarti's past was not a matter of few years...it summed up her whole existence uptil three years back. It's not so easy to let go of your existence. She is thankful for today...appreciate what she has today...because of that murky past. Every single day she realizes the difference. How can she forget then? You said it right when you mention that when our loved ones say one hurtful thing to us, we may go into sulking mode for days. And here, Aarti does not have a single good word that she can remember her family ever said to her...all she ever got from them was how worthless she was. The biggest problem with Aarti is that she has a line drawn between herself and others...even those like naanimaasi and the Browns...who are her well wishers and love her because she feels she cannot be good enough for anyone. This will be the biggest stumbling block for Yash.

Thank you so much for your unrelenting (and very biased😳) support.

Do you really discuss the story with your friends? What do they say? Any suggestions?

No biased support.. I'm just being utmost honest.😳
and yes I do discuss the story with my friends and mum (especially mum).. That day we (me and mum) went out and we were talking about this fantastic book called 'Ugly" and then I discussed your story with her about aarti's past and she was stunned. I showed her your work and she was like is this a true story. The reaction is the same with whoever I discuss or show your work to. They all think it's real because of the depth of pain and I have to convince them it isn't. They were so intrigued with aarti's past that some of them even ask me for updates. Mum says you're really talented and have an impeccable way with words (I'll say I told you so)😆. However mummy is a little confused as during Malti's wedding, Aarti said that she'll not let love come near her and that she won't surrender even if she falls in love but in her diary it seems that she wants someone to love her... So is she open to the idea of someone loving her or isn't she? Does she want to be rescued or is she complaisant with her current life with her naanimaasi? These are her questions.

Congrats on the new hread Indu.
Fantastic update. I loved how Payal made Yash's decision to stay back so easy just by her innocent words. Really liked the Yash and Aarti interactions as well. Looking forward to what is in store next for these two as their journey continues.

Thanks Alamelu.

Well, the things are very much in the open henceforth. It'll be how situations are dealt with by Yash and Aarti.

Thanks for the PM
waiting for your next update

Thanks Sara.

Having accepted this instant attraction and pull he felt toward Aarti, Yash would have never been at peace if he had just let it go and gone back to his life. Subconsciously he was always seeking the girl from that journal.
