Indu - pal, apologies due first. I wasn't in a frame of mind to comment on your earlier part , and now here you are with its extension 😭.

Abuse of a child is one thing i do not hold with. Completely unacceptable - but a harsh reality too. And when its emotional and psychological abuse, its worse in a way because there are rarely any physical evidences of it.

This part reminded me so much of that old movie - Anupama. Sigh...i had a hard time holding back my tears when i saw that film - and i had a hard time with this update. So i can just feel for you as you are writing it pal.

EDITED:
Okay, am back!
First of all, thank you for saving me from getting bored and very sleepy @work..
But there's only one thing i must complain... you made me cry dear (again), why!?!! 😭😭
I feel sorry for Aarti about her past. The way she was tortured by her father and his family... very bad!!! 😡 Can I join in the story for a while to hug Aarti and punch those devils around her one by one!!!
GOSH!! So much humiliation they did to Aarti. Are they human enough to treat an innocent child like that?! Especially Satye, he's so selfish! He didn't even recognize his own daughter. For GOD'S sake, she's the child of his love too!! Shobha even risk her life just to save her baby, why can't he accept it and move on?! The child deserves to be loved not hated!!😡😡
Oopps, sorry got carried away... 😆
See, Indu, your writings made me really feel what's with the character.
I was very very sad for Aarti as well as pissed off with Satya and Maya.
I know it's just a story, but you manage to bring me in to it, hats off to you! 👍🏼

Well, good thing Aarti meets Yash when she was born, and there was also his family (Scindias) to protect and support her.. He became her knight in shining armor since then.
And with her nanny Radha whom her uncle Brij made her promise to take care of Aarti, am still happy that you bring them to her..
And maybe that was the reason why Aarti reacted that way to Payal, cause somehow she wants her to accept things just the way they are, like what Yash did to her..
And Last part, gosh, am broke this time..
It's her 10th birthday, but still her father didn't even let it pass when he saw her in his room just to see her mother's pictures... He even made it worst for her!
That wound in her chest was not just a physical wound that can easily be healed, deep within it were her inner feelings which brought this scars last for a lifetime.
I was bad again. I am a very bad girl. I hurt baba again. He hates me'I deserve to be hated'..
*SIGH
Why she always need to blame herself for the incident, why?! 😭😭
It was a very heart touching, beautiful update Indu, again, I loved it... 🤗

Thanks pal...🤗

This one was really tough. It pained me to write those words. But then look at the brighter side...Aarti was not completely unloved. She had people to love and care for her at all times. It's just that the family, and especially her father, whose love mattered a lot...she was devoid of that. Worst was them making her feel low about herself...asking her to feel responsible for something that was not her fault at all. The family could have helped bring Satya closer to his daughter, but they themselves were too stuck up in the web of their superstitious beliefs.

You are right about why Aarti reacted that way with Payal...She didn't want her daughter go through the same feeling of low self-worth that she suffered from for so many years.

Thanks Shashi.

Yes somehow destiny picked Yash to be there to give Aarti's fate that push that was required. Will he do that again?🤔

What a glimpse into Aarti's past.

I was thinking there was going to be a LONG gap between AarYa meeting again.
I thought you would jump from the day she was born to the day the photo was taken by Yash
So you surprised me by making Yash a part of Aarti growing up years too. Abs loved it.

As for Sattu. Very believable reaction of a man who has lost his wife who just wants to hold someone responsible for it.
Poor Aarti is the bali ka bakara.

I hope you get a scene somewhere down the line where he sees how well Aarti has shaped up and made a name for herself inspite of his neglect and emotional abuse.
I just want him to die of shame before I come and do some damage to him myself. Grrr...me so angry😡
