Wonderful take as well! I totally agree about Aarti's unique skill to wrap people around her fingers with her sincerity and her instant sense of belonging. I don't know quite how to explain it, but being alone herself in many ways, she finds it easy to accept anyone as her own. This is what attracts people to her and what makes it so easy for her to become close to people in a way that many people can't. She accepts without questioning first and that is something even family cannot do sometimes!
@anonee: Well, there is a further complication because technically Karna was the one who had a loving father, in his adoptive one, and Arjuna grew up without for the most part, as his father died when he was fairly young. If there was any difference, that can be compared to Yash-Akash it is the status that Arjuna was allowed, being a son of the royal family, while Karna was looked down upon as the son of a mere charioteer and from a lower caste. I feel like that is pretty much as far as the comparison holds good. Beyond that, it is like you said, putting a circle into a square hole!
PS: I am anxious about them going down the Aarti-lies-because-of-majboori route again. 😕 Isn't that what landed us in this TRP mess in the first place? On the other hand, it would be interesting to see, if Radha makes Aarti promise not to tell and then Aarti keeps trying to find clever ways for Yash to find out anyway without her telling him. Just don't make Aarti hide the truth... that would be TRP suicide!
