I know that this subject will make most of us wonder that how could he ever be fair??

But right from the time Prashant was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatment, Dubey had sort of shifted his focus towards him and overlooked a lot with respect to Aarti's feelings..

The BMT - and then his supporting Kaki's views on trying to get back Aarti into Prashant's life though Shobha ma was dead against it...all this only shows that somewhere the death of Prashant must have left him in a vulnerable position to do something which he has done in this whole kidnapping drama...

Maybe he needs some kind of help...some counselling to help him overcome his grief...irrespective of whether right or wrong!

@ Thabs - Thanks for your views...

I always thought he was like sort of unfair...

I remember even when they got Aarti remarried he was the one who wanted to hide the fact that she was a divorcee though Shobha ma did not and nor did Aarti!
And then when she she was happily settled - on seeing his son he again wanted her back...

So I guess you do have a point...

You are right...Prashan't death was a trigger...he always had a sof corner for him no matter how his own son treated his mother/committed mistakes in the past...Dubey never saw how his passive support might turn him on for another round of abuses!

Prashant's death made him hungry and thirsty for vengeance...he probably could have thought about his DIL and her happily settled family

I guess you are right...he needs psychological help now...he can't turn violent like his son did in course of revenge
