Hmmm...our Aarti who blushes and squirms when PDAs occur around the children or if she even shares an extra long "eyelock"...romancing with Yash in public...right...This was beautiful BB. I love being able to see and feel everything you wre speaking about, and that warm glow that came from the overall consistent factor- Aarti and Yash's love for each other was marvelously highlighted here. Mwuaah!!!! Excellent job! And no I haven't watched any of the mentioned clips, episode included.

ooh Borna, you just made me fall in love with that sequence all over again...I think the song selection was more from Asad/Zoya's POV 😉

I just loved how your entire take it was just pure magical 😳 😳 😳

Aww, thank you so, so, so much, Jyo! I hope the write-up was half decent...😕 I know you were waiting for it. I love how this made you want to go back to the Abhi Abhi sequence! Those comparisons came up so unexpectedly and I know which sequence most of us (if not all) prefer! ❤️ Our AarYa!

I agree that 4 lions team give more of fantasy feel to a couple which looks passionate but lacks the realistic touch whereas if we compare this sequence with AarYa's abhi abhi sequence in terms of lighting or the trademark dupatta hodling , we will see a touch of reality and more of Yash-Aarti there 😳😳...
You nailed it right there! Fantasy versus realism. And that takes me back to Kratika's recent interview comment about how Yash-Aarti are romantic, but theirs is a mature romance so we won't see them kissing and cuddling all the time. I love the intimacy of their private moments. That's when the tenderness, love, and passion (and their naughtiness) comes out spontaneously.

My best moment in the entire sequence was the hair part since thats our trademark AarYa as we know Yash is forever fascinated with Aarti's beautiful long hair and loves carassing it with his long fingers .. sighhh ...
*siiigh* BEST moment, besides the part at the end where they're sitting together, that is. I LOVE how Gurmeet touches Kratika's hair during these moments. Every single time. And the way she stops, looks up at him, and then lets him continue...So beautiful! To me, these little moments are much more meaningful than those "Oh my God, he's pulling on my dupatta! Oh my God, he's looking at me! Oh my God, he's touching me!" sorts of interactions that we see almost everywhere except here. Interestingly enough, we also had that "How dare you touch me!" sort of phase at the beginning of the show when Aarti thought Yash was...yeah. But even then, nothing was cliched. Expressions-wise, there was a refreshing quality to those scenes, and a hell of a lot of subtle chemistry between the actors. I love the moment in the police van when Aarti's hair is flying and getting into Yash's face - he tries to move it away, and then she looks at him with that gaze of hers. Not once did I feel that they were being OTT. That humor-romance aspect that blends so nicely into the passionate-romance aspect...Love how the Mittals keep that going without resorting to obvious displays of "romance."

And yes while watching the making even I noticed how Gurmeet asked what m I suppose to do with phone and Gul was like bas aise hee 😆😆...
LOL, I know! 😆 He's such a meticulous actor, it seems! I don't know if it's the PV effect or not, but I liked that bit.

Coming to selection of song , I feel there r 2 options here ..either the song was more from Asad-Zoya's POV since next morning we saw Zoya was burried alive or its a future indication for AarYa upcoming separation mayb since same next morning we will hv the fight between Prashant-Yash in which Prashant dies and so Yash might b trapped in murder case .. so as it is the haseen shaam might not come anytime soon .. so I guess the song was selected based on future consequences 🤔...

Probably more in line with the other storyline, foreshadowing for them, I agree...But I like my dhaba assumption too. Why else were Yash-Aarti twirling like that? 😕 😆

Loved loved loved your entire take Borna ... I got to read it again and catch the abhi abhi sequence first .. those avis r just too tempting 😳😳
Hee, I couldn't resist! 😃 If I knew how to make gifs, I'd have posted stuff from the Making as well! But Abhi Abhi remains a classic. Day Dreaming

*sigh* Kadeen, please let me know what you think after you watch the episode - if you do, that is! No need to if you don't. Thanks for the clarification, by the way.
@bold: HAI NA? Aarti, OUR Aarti...Okay, sorry. Yashji's Aartiji typically averts her eyes or squirms or breaks eye contact when things get a little too prolonged...Even when she slipped in the bathroom and there was the prolonged eyelock (because it needed to fit with that stanza of Yeh Dil Hai), as soon as the stanza was over, she smoothly transitioned out of the situation - "Gaya...gaya paani..." and I loved that so much! 😆 The Aarti we know might lose herself in the moment, but Yash is always so much more content to stay immersed than she is...And you know what? MAJOR character consistency points for Gurmeet-Kratika! Ever since Promo 4, we've seen that. Even Promo 3, for that matter. But definitely Promo 4. She squirms, she averts her eyes, she is the first one to become self-conscious and aware of her surroundings. He, on the other hand, is concerned about her.
Oh well. Creative liberty for a day, and that day is over.
The repeated commands for Kratika to not break eye contact with Gurmeet during their shooting of the chase around the table made me wonder if she had been doing her own thing, Aarti-style, but was then forced to compromise. I wondered the same thing about the "feel her presence" moment as well. Anyway, I love the sparkle that is seen in both Gurmeet and Kratika's eyes during that part, so that's all right. The warmth of Yash and Aarti's love, as you said, was still there, albeit in a different manner. Hence my statement: They tried, and they tried hard!
Thank you so much for reading this! 🤗

BB I have no doubt that aesthetically speaking and entertainment-wise the episodes were passable. The thing is, it feels as if Punar Vivaah has lost the story-line and over all tone that made me interested and obsessed with it. I still watch for the superb acting, however I do not watch for a storyline per se. I was discussing with one of the in- circle Dis that it feels as if the screenplay writer/story-writer has been changed or some such thing. It's not just the maha-sangam that has rubbed me in an unpalatable manner. Your post is absolutely stunning in its way, and has done what this story sometimes loses along the way. It has given us those minute nuances that made the show a treat in its entirety. The little things that you spoke of here in terms of Kratika and Gurmeet, were never the only things that drew me. I loved seeing things unfold and grasping little details that pointed to a larger photo. It all feels so regular now to me, and while I do pop in to read LUs and sometimes I watch videos...I think the MS pointed out a change that may not be all that blatant, but is still sensed. I just don't know BB, and that is why I don't know when I'll be watching Friday's MS. I did watch Monday, and it was a dramatic thriller in all of its essence, but in a way, aren't we losing some of the purpose? Perhaps we'll take this up in PM, I don't want to remove from the phenomenal post you've written here.⭐️

I'm just going to sit back and mindlessly watch, and analyse in mind what is needed. It's still a remarkable show after all. They are all trying really hard to keep the show going, and if this is what they need to do, I guess I ought not to complain. Nothing is perfect to begin with. And hey, the cinematography, the cast, and such are still enjoyable.

@Kadeen: Thanks for taking the time to respond - and I'm just a PM away if you'd like to elaborate on anything. The concerns about changes in the story/screenplay are justified; I'm going to stick around for the ride for as long as I can manage because, in my humble opinion, this show is still a cut above the rest...We've almost made it to a year...Quite a few shows start to sink early on, some even within a few months, but they still keep limping along. I think of that...and then I think of what we have. It makes me feel thankful that I can even write posts for episodes like these...

I agree. This is still a cut above the rest...but...by its own standards...hmmm. I keep wondering if I'm being too harsh then I remember that it was Punar Vivaah that set my standard for all other shows. In terms of storyline, acting, music, how even the clothing fit into the characters' changing psychology...it was all this show. Now how can I ignore it when it doesn't always meet its own standards, you get what I mean? I do intend to hold out though. I can't imagine not seeing this to the end. This show gave me alot of firsts😆, and like you said, atleast you're still able to write amazing posts on the content.🥳

@bold: That's the funny thing, isn't it? The standard has been set so high that deviations from the norm are causes for tension. A blessing and a curse! I feel like launching into a story about another show right now, where a large section of the dedicated viewers were anxious and dissatisfied when things didn't seem like they were going "right." But even in the middle of that haze of pessimism and worry, I still found silver lining to hold on to until "the end." It was remarkable. And that's why I just let Punar Vivaah be...This is the only other show that reached up to and maintained the standards I had subconsciously developed for fiction shows on Indian TV...and things are moving along, changes will come and go, but as long as I can find things that I can hold on to, I think I'll be okay.
I don't know about "amazing," but I am flattered to know that you feel that way about them. Thank you!

arrgh Borna, your LJG summary was a shot through the heart! 👏👏👏..

Though i did feel that the romance was somewhat misplaced, inappropriate at that time, i have to give praises for the direction and GK's fast shift of emotion from the beholding and flirtatious gazes they exchanged in that stolen midnight romance 😳.. And i love the contrast of lighting that you pointed out from the Mumbai night and the dhaba scene. They were amazing from that Mumbai night, i felt there was a tug between Yash's subconscious thought and desire under that bhaang effect to Aarti's uneasiness to give in or hold back 😉☺️. The dhaba scene was beautiful but could have been more appropriate for Asad and Zoya's romance. GK made Yash and Aarti breathtaking under all those illumination. The way their looks softened gazing at each other and the sparkle that emanated from thier eyes, seriously don't know how do they do that so well!

And Borna, your dissection of Asad and Zoya's unfolding romance deserves a posting in the QH forum. I only got a glimpse of the show in the MS but the way you transcribed their emotions was connected to their scenes well.

THANKS A GAZILLION FOR TAKING THE TIME AND MUSINGS TO COME UP WITH ANOTHER LITERARY DELIGHT!
