Sometimes the slow parts that don't seem to "go anywhere" on the surface are actually my favorites. The psychological depth revealed in this part makes it such a fantastic read. Being able to visualize a frustrated and lamenting Zoya, a patient and understanding Ahmed, a numb and unresponsive Aarti who has lost everything but is now slowly, oh-so-slowly, beginning to take steps toward normalcy and toward finding a new world to make her own after such a devastating loss...All of that makes my heart ache, but I love that I can envision the scenes in my head as I read your words. No matter how fast or slow the pace, there's always depth!Loved the update, Kat. Hope to see the next one soon!
Ah Borna - so true. So are we becoming BB too 😆? I need parts like these for character development - don't really know how to write without them. So when you and some others appreciate it, feel it, understand it - i literally get goosebumps. Thank you so so so very much.
