@Sammy...
I try not to burden the winners with questions, but your speculative brains, I am going to pick...and gladly. BTW, loved my assigned IF name---Thanks!
Glad you liked it! And I am happy to answer your questions because they are so interesting!
1. Speculate on Bua's past - her childhood, her young years, her married life, characterization of her husband and how he died (You can make it as long or as short as you'd like)
I would imagine that Bua was an intelligent but naive girl who had her own set of dreams. I think her family fixed her marriage at a really young age and she was all excited but her husband ended up being a total disappointment and no match for her intelligence, because her family made the match strategically and not with her best interests in mind. And then a few months into her marriage, before the disappointment had even sunk in, her husband died and to be honest, she was relieved.
I think her in-laws felt bad for her because she was young, childless and so newly married and gave her quite a lot of leeway, let her go to the temple whenever she wanted etc and it is at this time that I think she met a man and fell in love with him. She finally found out what it was to desire someone, to love someone who was her equal. But before the relationship could go any further, her in-laws found out and kicked her out of the house (which is why she lives in her maika now). The young man in question told SP, the then new head of the family, that he wanted to marry Maya but SP, drunk on his new power and obsessed with the family name, refused point blank, and because he knew this fellow was resilient, convinced him that Maya was only after him for his money. He made it so convincing and the poor guy was so far gone that he committed suicide. Maya found out and every good impulse in her turned to hate and malice.
This is why she keeps raising the question of her remarriage, hates SP with such a vengeance and is so obsessed with physicality and Aarti having a lover. It is also why she is targeting Aarti because she sees herself in her and can't stand her story having a happy ending for someone else.
Howzzat? 😎
2. Use one word/adjective that would describe the following relationships best as you see them in the near future.
Ansh-Palak Intensity
Ansh-Payal Protective
Payal-Palak Abiding
Aarti-Ansh Deepening
Aarti-Palak Confidant
Aarti-Payal Tranquil
Yash-Ansh Tenacity
Yash-Palak Kinship
Yash-Payal Sunshine
3. Will Paridhi resume her work? If yes, how might that happen? If not, why not?
Yes she will. I have a feeling her parents are going to have something to do with it. They were all amicable and jovial when they thought the differences between them and the Scindias were merely technical. But if for a moment they realise their daughter is unhappy, they are not going to take it lying down. I have a feeling Prateek may become a ghar jamai and the Scindias will have to face that or let Paridhi work.
4. Imagine a scenario where Yash is divorced (he caught his wife cheating on him) and Aarti is widowed (whose husband was a gem). Comment on any differences in the relationship that you see as a result of this. For example, what might Yash say differently to Prateek on SR in the presence of Aarti?
This is a zinger! 👏 Well, for starters I think that Yash would be much more proactive with his daughters because his wife leaving him would have caused him to have to step up, undoubtedly as the better parent simply for sticking with them. He would have shown a lot more confidence. As for the SR, I think he would have told Prateek that just because I jave lost my belief in love, does not mean my daughters have to suffer without a mother. Additionally, the room would have probably been covered with pictures of his daughters and the rest of his family. He would have been a lot more vocal I think but also more bitter and cynical.
As for Aarti, she would have probably told Ansh about Prashant and so he would not be as willing to accept Yash and neither would she be as eager for him to accept Yash. We might not have seen her huge efforts in this direction. I think she would have also been a lot more peaceful, inert and quiet, rather than in constant fight mode as we see her now. The knowledge of having been loved would have changed Aarti's character completely.
5. Where do you think Yash will be when he realizes he's in love with Aarti? (for example- bed, car, office, whatever- the more descriptive, the better). And where would Aarti be?
For Yash, wherever he is, I think there will definitely be rain. This is not just the romantic in me talking, but rain has been woven into the story as an agent of Yash's destiny, always showing him the way forward and cutting his ties with the past. I think this is going to happen soon after the divorce truth where Prashant will try to make Aarti's life miserable by telling Yash that Aarti is still in love with him. Yash will be walking in the night, trying to find some clarity after he lets Aarti go, for her own happiness, and he will be trying to think of Arpita to give his mind some solace, trying to convince himself that he too is happy to go back to his relationship with Arpita. And with a clap of thunder, he will be snapped out of his forced recollections and plunged into a marathon of Aarti-memories as it starts pouring and he will realise he doesn't want to let her go...he wants to fight for her! 😍
Aarti I think will realise in a much more subtle way. And contrary to all these people telling her she is in love, I think she will realise it all by herself when she finally does. She will see Yash stand by her through Prashant's ordeal (whatever that is) and all the time she will take pride in her relationship with him, which is so strong and yet not romantic. But I think her final trigger will be physical. 😉 Just as she wondered to herself why her heart beat races and she can't speak coherently when Yash comes near, one day she will find her answer...when he comes close and her heart beat races and for this I predict the location to be...the bathroom, a la 3rd promo! It would be an extra bonus if Yash were shirtless, naturally. 😃
