I am sure many have already said this, I just waited to reiterate how much I love reading your analysis. I absolutely admire your ability to breakdown relationships to such nitty gritty details. If I could analyze life like the way you do when I was your age I probably would have been in a totally different place today.

You are too kind! The irony is that I have don't have that much in my drama-free real life to analyse which is why all of my powers are concentrated on PV and the characters therein.

I love seeing members having a fun time in her/his hottest. I know, its very sadistic of me. 😃

So here are some questions from me.

1) What were your expectations for PV before it started? Were your expectations met?

My expectations of this show were far exceeded! I expected it to be a family drama with the typical melodramatic saas and bahu stuff, though hopefully with a stronger role for the male character because GC had decided to take this show against all his decision to do movies only from now on. When I started watching this show it was out of loyalty to him, but I never expected to become so invested in the story and the characters, or that they would be so meaty and true to life. I also expected the usual share of regressive thinking in the script and was ready to suspend my disbeleif but I never had to! I got my new wine in this old bottle!

2) Who is the one character that has taken you by surprise (in a positive or negative way) in PV?

Palak. I have never related to a character on television as strongly as I do to her. She reminds me so much of me as a child that ever since we have had more of her background and I have fallen utterly in love with the way she is written. While I always found Ansh cute, I never connected with him because I was never that sunshiny, charming kid. I was the one who thought I had to be perfect, took the weight of the world on my shoulders, was serious and unreasonably attached and emotionally dependent on my mother. And Palak just hit the nail on the head! 😲

3) Did you ever have doubts, if this role suited either GC or Kratika and/or if they could do justice to their roles?

I didn't know anything about Kratika so I didn't judge her before the show and loved her soon after it aired. But to be honest, I was worried about GC because I wondered if he could shake that image of MSK for me, a fan rooting for him, let alone all the naysayers. And there were a few hiccups right at the beginning, especially with him and the kids but he caught on so fast that all my fears were put to rest and the naysayers were silenced forever!

4) When the divorce truth comes out how do you think the following characters will handle it:

Aarti She will be absolutely devastated and emotionally winded. I won't be surprised of she has an adverse physical reaction to the truth coming out, depending on how it comes out and the reactions it elicits from the family. Even though she is in denial now, there is no getting around the fact that Prashant affects her and when he yanks her out of denial, she will be crushed. 😭

Shobha She'll deny it and state confidently that Prashant is dead, because she said so.

Yash At first he will feel betrayed that Aarti hid something huge from him. But all it will take is for him to see how much she has suffered, first living through the experience and then being forced to deny it and lie in order to marry him. Knowing her past fully will make him fiercely protective of her and Ansh because he will understand how tenuous her happiness really is.

Gayatri I think she will be hit the hardest because she has just started warming up to Aarti and by the time the truth comes out, she will probably have a lot of respect and love for Aarti, though she may not show it. The exposure of the lie will make her doubt everything she believed about Aarti and herself. And she was the one who was most literally cheated because she made clear they didn't want a divorcee.

SP He will begin his calculations and come up with a plan that makes him almighty!

5) What is the one thing that drives you crazy (in terms of story writing or pace or character building and so on) about PV?

The narrative is very Aarti-centric and Yash is a character in the Aarti story rather than being a protagonist himself, most of the time. I wish the balance were more equal.

6) If there is one trait of Yash that you could change:

I wish he would be more vocal about his feelings.

7) If there is one trait of Aarti you change:

I think she should think about all the possible results before she goes ahead with a plan, rather than just the one she is looking for.

8) Should Arya have more kids?😳

I think they should plan not to, but then have one more by accident. You see I want the best of both worlds. I want them to defy SP and say that the children they have are more than enough, but I also want to see pregnant Aarti with her cravings and her mood swings, the kids excited about a new sibling and Yash getting irritated but trying not to show it, and taking care of Aarti.

9) When should we have our PV get together with Chai and Bhel?😆

Anytime post August? 😃

10) I suppose, I should ask you one more question just so that we have a nice even number. 😕 But the inquisitive part of my brain is all shut down after a long tiring day. So I suppose it will have to be just 9 questions. 😃

9 is considered a very lucky number! In Bangalore everyone tries to get the numbers on their car plate to add up to 9.

Learn how to end a story with dignity. Instead of taking a leap, start a new show with the characters you had in mind post-leap, even a spin off would be better.

I think the TRP system itself is fine, but should not become so important in the assessment of how shows are doing. It is statistical data that has its own limitations and people should accept that rather than concentrating their whole effort on chasing TRPs. TRP system itself is not a problem, it is the PHs chasing after the numbers that is detrimental to creative integrity.

13)Do u belive in astrology?if yes then why and if no then why not?

I believe in it because from what I have seen, it is accurate. BUT I think it is just a tendency and if you work hard you can change it.

14)What is your greatest phobia?why?

Vertigo. When I am standing at a height I get really nervous and keep imagining what it would be like to fall from there.

15)Which is your most fav festival?why?

I love Sankranti in Karnataka (Pongal in TN) which is traditionally the harvest festival. Mostly for the good food that abounds and going around to people's houses sharing these food items.

17)Describe a typical day of your life?(your daily routine)

I wake up around 8:30 (unless I have morning dance class at 8), get ready for work where I land up at 10:30. We have lunch at 1 in the office, where we have a cook who makes the most amazing food. Then we have tea around 3:30-4. I work until 6-6:30 and then head home. When I get home I eat something, watch AB and then I see what is for dinner and make something if need be along with my family. We have dinner around 8:30 and then we talk or read and some times others go to bed. My mom and I watch PV at 10:30 after which she goes to bed and I come online...after that you know what happens!

18)Describe your childhood in 100words?(as a child your schoollife,your nature,etc etc 😛)

I was actually born in the US and lived there until I was 10/4th grade. I was a total prissy miss. I was always the teachers pet and did all my work perfectly. I got along much better with adults than I did with kids of my own age because they thought I was an insufferable goody two shoes, which I was. And honestly, I had only a few good friends and preferred spending time by myself, reading, drawing. I was always attached to my mother and was a total girl. I loved wearing dresses and leaving my hair down, helping in the kitchen etc. Then after we moved to India I had a total turnaround. I became much more quiet and became a total tomboy! 😕😆 I went through lots of phases and confusions, trying to define myself unnecessarily, before I figured out who I was and was happy with it.

19)Describe character sketch of Yash and Aarti in 100 words 😆😛

Yash was a carefree and happy person who had everything he could want or need from life handed to him on a silver platter. He was good looking, intelligent, hard working and had lots of fun to boot! When he was in his early twenties, his parents even found him the perfect girl and he fell completely in love with her and had two beautiful kids. Just when it felt like he couldn't be happier, his whole life was turned upside down when he lost his wife in a car accident right before his eyes. From that moment he has been clinging to her, to that happiness he thought was his birthright and lamenting its loss. He is yet to realise that happiness is not always something that is given to you but you have to fight for it, for yourself and for the ones you love.

Aarti is a strong willed woman who refuses to take no for an answer from destiny. Whatever life throws at her, she accepts and makes the best of it. But unfortunately all this compromise has made her believe that she doesn't deserve anything better from life. The one real relationship in her life, the only one that cannot be taken away from her is with Ansh and so she concentrates everything she has on this relationship, sometimes without thinking of how it could be affecting Ansh negatively. Because she has had to be both father and mother to her son, she finds it difficult to discipline him as she herself has to placate him later. Instead she makes him understand things in a logical way which has made him mature but also rebellious when he is told to do things he doesn't understand. Aarti loves freely and the one thing she wants from life is for the ones she loves to be happy. She is yet to learn that she should expect more, she should expect to be loved in return.

It was on Geet forum where I made a vadda post defending Geet during the A'sar track because as a silent reader I felt she was getting bashed unfairly and saw nobody defending her.

My boss, because she has defined her own happiness against society's norms, though not in contempt of them.

26)Write a romantic sequence😉 for one of your favourite TV Couple in few words?😳

*Sigh* i really wanted to see Maan and Geet build an empire together from scratch when the BR track was on, with Geet proving invaluable to Maan's endeavours. And one scene I really wanted to see was when both of them were working to have Maan cook for Geet one day when she got late at work.

27)What is your recommendation regarding marriage?love marriage or arranged marriage?why? 😳

I used to be all for arranged marriage but having experienced part of the process myself, I am not so sure anymore. In the end you should marry the right person for the right reasons. It doesn't matter how you meet them.

28)What is your take current reality shows ? Are they real or fake and why ??

They are fake,I think and too melodramatic for my taste.

29)Do u think daily saas-bahu soaps r regressive?if yes then why and if no then why not?

I do think they are regressive but only as regressive as the society that laps them up!

30)What is your biggest achievement so far?

Graduating college with honours, getting into a great masters program.

31)Which is the happiest moment of your life?

My Bharatanatyam debut recital (Arangetram) which I did when I was 15. Nothing has been quite as momentous.

Once when my belt fell off as I was dancing and I had to walk off stage mid-dance to fix it! 😕

33)Do u think a married woman can make a successful comeback in films?if yes then how and if no then why not?

Absolutely! If she plays her characters convincingly enough, people will forget if she is married or not in real life. It shouldn't even be called a "comeback" just because she got married. Personally, I think Aishwarya R-B is a good example. JA came out just after she was married and that didn't hold anything back!

Totally unfair. I think they are missing the point of the internet if this is enforced.
