@Chhavi: All I can do is nod and say ditto =) I mean I know we all blow up as instant-reactions to episode as they air .. but as Samana pointed out once... that we love to see how our moods and opinions gradually change as the hours pass by ... when the episode airs and we dislike something extremely we will voice it then and there.. but by talking it out and reading others' analyses we see other perspectives on the same situation and by the time the next episode airs we have a different view... and may not be as pessimistic about a situation .. I think that's the best part about having a forum and a place like the DC ... you get to see so many POVs and get to understand the story better =)

Lovely analysis Indu!
And very true Zahra, even if the epi is bad one day, we know that we can come to the DC and vent out our frustations and gradually when we read other people's analysis and takes, things fall into place! lol

@Indu: Have I ever told you that you write beautifully? I just LOVE reading your takes and wait for them everyday ... because you describe each nuance so wonderfully =) Lovely take ... and I don't blame you ... the episodes these days are just that good ... they force us to keep writing ... today's was exceptionally beautiful ...

@Z and Kashish: Thank you.😊 Yeah, so true...the presentation of a unique concept in such an impeccable manner is such a stand-alone in our TV world. Never have I seen a child's perception presented in such a sensitive and correct manner. The bulid-up to Palak's character has been fantastic...right from her first appearance to this day there has been an unfaulted consistency in her characterization...I'm sure they are consulting child analysts. Each day I am falling in love some more with the story.😃

Did anybody mention the plea made by Palak to Arpita, the last time she saw her mother, "Come back soon mother!"

I was reminded of a lot of the kids in my family who would entreat their parents to come get them from school as soon as possible. Palak would have waited and waited for her mother and then cried herself to sleep that fateful day when her mother did not return. I think Vidhi has done her best to lessen her hurt feelings and the heavy burden of feeling that somehow she is responsible for her mother's death.

It has been 4 years now and she has by herself compartmentalized her feelings in regards to her mother. That part of her being is closed to most people but now Arti is going to unlock that part of her and give her a mother. Not Arpita but as Arti.

Arti should not compete to become like Arpita because that is not something possible, as Palak might have put Arpita in her mind on a higher pedestal.

But it's a good start that Arti is trying to fill a void in the childs heart. Let's see where this journey will take her.

Also this show is about Punar Vivaah including the children so I don't think it's deviating from it's concept just by concentrating on the intricacies of all the relationships it entails to. I'm not here to watch a simple love story where boy meets girl and everything falls into place.

Anyways I'm just expressing how I feel about this show and the episode in general.

Totally Indu, I mean a child's perspective has probably never been given this much importance and depth in any other show, usually they're just shown as tiny beings eating, sleeping, studying, playing, but they have a mind too, they have feelings and opinions! One of the few things I have loved about this show so far =D

Simply put, OUTSTANDING!

But heading for another Freaky Friday, are we?

Everybody including their grandmother seem to be getting this "Arpita banna hoga" that they rush to advice against it. As I mentioned in my thesis, it can mean making changes in a physical/semi-physical sense and/or acting away to glory. In so far as Palak is concerned, Aarti needs to do no acting at all since her maternal sense is in place already. So what's she left with are the external and ornamental adaptations that a 7 year old child probably has memories of from 3 years ago. Since,Aarti knows where Arpita's sarees and jewellery are kept, she's set. But, my struggle is and always has been about the distinction between two similar beings. So, I hope that today's episode will cover Arpita's quirks that will bring this distinction out.

And that which, if brought out credibly, will likely succeed with Palak. It became clear when Palak came skipping out of the room stunning Yash, that she has been told that her mumma will return because that's what she desperately wanted. Though this might completely rub Yash on the wrong side initially, his daughter's happiness at the party will temper his reactions. That's my bet.

Aarti was completely on a roll and she pushed all the right buttons to not only reassure the Scindia family but also the viewer family. And her excitement while organizing everything was just bang on, and unlike her delirious or giddy or deliriously giddy behavior we saw in the first episode of the week.

Clearly, Aarti is neither impulsive nor stupid as she handles this. She's collecting information, thinking, and strategizing. She knows that Yash has to be on board (since she knows that the entire family has given in to him on this). So, she goes to him and persuades him by saying all the right things, at the right time and in the right tone. Dialogue writers - Take a bow! That was truly outstanding.

Palak's acceptance of Aarti is happening in her sub-conscious even though the words coming out of her mouth belie this. The drawing and her pronouncement to her dad that there's going to no letter writing this time was nicely done by the CVs. Aarti has already made significant inroads into Palak's heart, yet the mind (thanks to Bua and G3) is still rationalizing between what she hears from her original caregivers and what she sees and experiences at the hands of the new caregiver. Kratika's expressions of surprise, pride and satisfaction when she sees that there is a mother in the drawing making the family complete were simply fantastic. Way to go, Kratika!

Yash is surprised to see the drawing and is struck speechless when Palak asks a profound question about Arpita being happy with the new situation. A turning point for Yash... If he said yes, he would be acknowledging that he is moving on which, to him, on the surface would be a falsehood, yet underneath a growing truth; and if he said no, he would certainly be acting as a deterrent or even preventing Palak from moving on. That was classy, CVs!

Aarti physically touching Yash to prevent him from consoling his daughter, the ease with which she clasps his hand in both of hers, speaks to the extent of comfort level she has developed, since the SR.

Paridhi, the guru, was absolutely thrilled with her new chela , Aarti, shining in her interaction with G3. And G3 (what an actress!) can't figure out this new Aarti and looks with suspicion at Aarti's flowery praises. But she recovers to remind Aarti of the various conditions - the 3-month deal, even if no joy, no tears either on Palak's face and so on.

Episode One-Line Review: An outstanding episode overall where much was covered and each scene flowed smoothly to the next resulting in everything simply melding together by the end of the episode.

Kudos to the CVs. And thanks for respecting me as a viewer. The dialogues were not OTT, the arguments in favor or against were so sensible that it was realistic, yet so gripping. 👏

Nicely written Indu. You are clearly an Aarti-file. 😉

I find her just very interesting these days. Cant figure her out. On the surface it does seem like she is hitting the right notes by taking up the cause of the poor unhappy child. Just not sure about the course though. Why does it have to be a big bang birthday party for the breakthrough?

Aarti's tenacity in following through is admirable, she doesnt seem like she has understood Palak's pain or for that matter, even Yash's. Palak is a child who has been let to make the impossibly big decision of not celebrating her birthday at all. So, she needs to be treated with a lot of care and baby steps..

lams, looks like they had backed themselves into a corner with the Arpiti-zation of Aarti and they made a feeble attempt but have sensibly backed out but not completely. Hence we have senseless dialogues like the one Vidhi says yesterday - ' You will take some time to become Arpita from Aarti'..what the heck?

I think Vidhi intends to say, Arpita = Aarti will be acceptable as Yash's wife and the kids' mom
