@Mansi: I think you misunderstood what I meant about Vidhi. I meant to say she brought up an interesting point, as in for discussion, not that her idea itself was a particularly good one! It brought up the question of ends and means. If in the end Aarti's name is not changed, does it justify them bowing down to the mandate now? Or should the principle be fought for and the Scindias made to understand that this marriage is off if the name change happens?

Personally I am all for upholding the principle of the thing. I mean how will Aarti live with and respect herself knowing she gave into something like this when she absolutely didn't believe in it, the name changing happening after marriage or not, notwithstanding? And if Aarti doesn't respect herself then how will Ansh be happy and how will Yash grow to respect and love her?

That was the interesting question raised by Vidhi's mentos-worthy idea and I thought I would bring it up. 😃

PS: I like that they made the Bachelor Party make sense ! I saw some people going why is Yash having a Bachelor Party considering its his second marriage and all .. (although I say why not? If the man was happy and wanted to have one there's nothing wrong with it but here as per the character he didn't obviously) BUT I knew that they'd do it for my (LOL) Pratik's happiness 😃 .. and it also makes sense .. I mean just because Yash is doing his second marriage doesn't mean they'd mellow down the marriage for Pratik ... and Yash and Pankaj are understanding enough to let him have the fun in his wedding... so yay for understanding! 😆

@Sns23 :I feel Scindias r seeing things only from thier family's POV ...they r treating Dubeys as nobody and this is mainly because of Mr.Dubey who actually has never confronted Daddy Scindia regarding any of the major issues ...he always tried to play safe and in the process Dubeys kept loosing their voice of dignity in front of Scindias ...even today if Mr.Dubey had gone to confront Daddy Scindia about name-change issue then I dont think Daddy Scindia could hv supressed them in this manner like he supressed Shobha today with his loud voice ...
@Mansi :I feel both Yash and Aaarti r too much surrounded by their elders to actually speak out ..they r adults but there r elders present who claim to hv more experience in life than them and they feel they hv the right to keep Yash and Aarti under their dominence ...Both needs to actually speak out in a place where there is no interruption of Dubeys or Scindias or Arpita's parents ...mayb after bachelar party ,when both r alone or mayb their first proper talk is being reserved for the first night after their wedding 🤔

@Jyoti: Geez ... I wrote ten thousand words to bring out my take, and you just wrote the key ideas in ten short and simple sentences! Wow!👏👏👏
Actually as you know yesterday I was feeling a bit unhappy about this whole name-change thing and I was wishing the CVs had not introduced this idea into the serial. It looked very regressive. But today through that issue I felt I was able to see each of the characters in their true colours. So in a way it is good I suppose to have some issues that can shake up every body.
Waise that Daddy Scindia was just too much today. For that kind of man to be tackled we need all the women to form a massive protest group that can gherao him ... he was like a steamroller today flattening out this Shobha and Aarti!

Okay I got it! Yes I agree. And besides, timing is everything. And also its about the relative importance of this name change issue in the larger set of issues around the marriage, so Aarti's priorities are the key thing on whether its better to address the name change now or later ...

Daddy Scindia was too much today. But somewhere I have this feeling that Yash is also like him but in a positive sense, and he will be the only one among the 3 brothers who will go against his father and stand by the right thing.

In fact you took me by surprise when you pointed out that the gundi was the facade and the real Aarti may be the one unsure of herself and her future.

I don't necessarily think that the bold Aarti is better than the reticent one, but the key thing is which of these personas is going to come to the fore in this marriage. Neither the gundi nor the silent one seem right. Shouldn't we have a new personality for Aarti that is somewhere between the two extremes - or perhaps something entirely unexpected?
Her character seems unevolved at the moemnt (in fact even Yash's character seems that way). I want to see how they evolve separately and together and which aspects of themselves really comes to the fore to define them in this marriage.

Aarti seems to be completely lost these days! I hope the hockey stick wielding gundi Aarti is still there in her somewhere, for I fear that a submissive silent Aarti and an indiffernet Yash will eventually lead to Daddy and mommy Scindia Part 2... I was soo surprised with her silent standing and taking in of all the nonsense Daddy Scindia was spewing.. I doubt that this is true, but I feel the silence can also be attributed to the fact that over the past few days/weeks - from when the proposal business started, she has been forced to relive her doomed relationship with Prashanth - wherein she probably was all the we're not seeing in her. That time ended with him leaving her for another woman.. She probably is scared to behave the way she used to for the fear that it will end up like or worse than her first relationship! But I do wish the gundi Aarti comes back, for only she can bring back some color and excitement in depressed Yash's life..
