Vidhi refers to the Goddess of Destiny & usually means 'manner'. How it relates to her is that her character moulds itself according to everybody's wishes & aspirations. She balances with others' & her own notions!👏
Pankaj ⭐️
Really a significant name! 😳Briefly the name is a synonym of Lotus flower which is considered as a very special flower specially in hinduism where it indicates Truth, Beaty & Auspiciousness (Satyam,Shivam & Sundaram)😳
The lotus also extends a more spiritual meaning.😳 It blooms in the morning and withdraws its petals in the night. This behaviour of the flower brings to light the fact that one's mind blooms with the illumination of spiritual knowledge and cringes without it. Further more the flower blossoms in slushy areas sustaining its purity and despite its surroundings. This reminds one to remain pure and beautiful under all circumstances.
The lotus leaf is often allegorically used in the Hindu scriptures. The flower though thrives in water, its leaf never gets wet. This symbolises the nature of a Jnani or a realised person who is ever blissful, untouched by the sorrows and the changes which is characteristic of the world.😳
The Vietnamese have a saying, "Growing in the mud, yet not smelling of the mire"😳, refers to this idea almost as though the plants and flowers have separate natures. We as humans are aware of our duel natures. The struggle of rising from our backgrounds and experiences towards doing good and not doing good is very real.😳
Pankaj lives in a family filled with hypocrites still he is unaffected with hypocrisy! Really an apt name!👏
Paridhi : The name means circumference/ Limit. The name basically indicates balance but it has some ironical part with it. Paridhi is out of her Paridhi in Scindia's eyes 😉

I don't think I have ever had such an emotionally charged half an hour in all my years! 😳
I went from pity and disgust at the blackmail on Yash to overflowing joy at Shobha's declaration and her silent trampling of her husband's spineless protests to vesuvian rage at Scindia Sr.'s speech to bawling my eyes out at the scene with the three brothers. I am so serious I haven't cried so much for a character since Anjali left college before her final exams because Rahul didn't love her back. 😭😭
What struck me is that Arpita's mother made sense, solely from her perspective, in a really warped way. She believed that with this new wife and mother for Yash and his children, Arpita would be gradually forgotten and as she is their child, she was not only hers but her parents' identity as well. So in a way they are trying to preserve their identity and their relationship to Yash, Payal and Palak by preserving Arpita's name. But what they don't understand is that Yash truly will never forget Arpita. She will always be alive to him as his first love and the mother of his children. It broke my heart when he tried to convince them of this saying that Arpita was in his every breath so how could he separate her form them? GC was simply outstanding in today's episode and this scene was just the beginning. I love how when they told him he would forget her there was denial but there was also fear. This was such a genuine reaction from someone grieving for a person they swore to love for all eternity but whom they lost before eternity could even begin!
It was so wonderful to see the Shobha of the first episode back in action. I loved her strong speech to Aarti and her withering looks to her husband's protests. She silenced him with merely a look because I think with the whole divorce lie she has taken on something that was very hard for her in the form of this lie and though she does convince herself that they are doing right by Aarti by telling this lie, she doesn't believe it deep down in her heart. This lie and the fact that she thinks Aarti found out about it by proxy has already upset her for all the damage it could have done to their relationship and I feel like she will take it no more. They have already hidden part of Aarti's identity with the widow lie and now again, she is losing more of herself with the name change. Come to think of it, her name is probably the only thing Aarti has from her birth parents.
BUT then there is Scindia Sr. who seems to like seeing the world his way and his way alone and telling people what they ought to do and think. For the first time today we saw his true colours. And be does believe in all this ladkiwale/ladkewale stuff and by no means considers them equal. How Aarti stayed silent is beyond me as I would have told him that my zindagi was plenty full of rang and even if it wasn't I wouldn't want his oppressive, second hand rang in it anyway!
But I was impressed with Shobha. She exuded class in this sequence. She knows she couldn't go in all guns blazing because this is the sensitive issue of a rishta and the marriage had already come so far. She does still want this to work and so is the picture of poise and politeness. But the Scindias are not over their own egos and Scindia doesn't even let Shobha get a word in edgewise! 😡😡 This is the mark of coward who leaves the field before his opponent can respond and uses his power without responsibility. Why the hypocrisy? Aren't Arpita's parents ladkiwale too? Why are the Scindias trying to hard to make them happy. This brings us back to yesterday's discussion. And Shobha hit the nail on the creepy head when she said it is not about
BUT neither of them have agreed to this name change. That is the comfort. Also, Vidhi brought up an excellent point. Is it more important for Aarti/Shobha to drive the principle in or is it important for Aarti to just keep her name in the long run? Can Aarti forgo the principle for the eventual result to be what she wanted anyway? In any case Vidhi said the magic word for Shobha, Yash, which can convince her of anything just like "Ansh" works magic (like the Imperious Curse!) on Aarti.
Hoo boy and now to the brothers. This was the most touching and emotional scene of the show yet. Like I said, I balled my eyes out starting from when Prateek was talking about how Arpita and Yash had planned to dance at his wedding (oh crap I am tearing up again!). This was so emotional for me because it spoke of all the tiny little dreams, let alone the big ones, that Yash and Arpita had together that would never come true. I love the storywriters, the screenplay writers, the director and GC for making me feel the intense pain of this character and his situation.
And I also loved Pankaj's lecture. It really gave Yash a different perspective on Aarti and made this not just about him and protecting Arpita but about the girl who was sacrificing so much just by agreeing to marry him. And then Prateek sort of lived up to my very early analysis about him that he didn't want to get married before Yash because he couldn't stand being happy in the face of his brother's loneliness. Deep down he knows that he is all that Yash has as far as companionship goes and it was very considerate of him not to make any changes to the family after Arpita's death so Yash didn't have to lose anything else. I love the contrast we see when we get glimpses into Prateek's character. Deep down he is a sensitive and mature man who can't stand to see his brother in this permanent state of grief. (here come the water works again!)
And Yash, responds in turn, not being able to see HIS brother unhappy and puts on a smile just for him, even though that is the hardest thing for him to do at this moment. And then just as I was descending from dignified tears into outright sobbing, Prateek said "BACHELOR PARTY!" with that huge mischievous grin and the look on Yash's face made me burst out laughing! My mom thought I had gone absolutely crazy, which, well, I had. 😃 I love that congruous flow between them talking so seriously about matters of such depth to joking around about bhabhi's reaction to the BP. It shows they have really strong understanding where they can just switch lanes and the other two will understand.
I loved that hand grab at the end as well. Yash hesitates but also made the promise to try and be happy, if only for others at this moment.
Now excuse my while I go off cry another river. 😭😭😭
😭
It was an emotional episode. I enjoyed it. :)
My 2 cents:
Confusion Confusion:
I felt like hitting my head on the wall trying to figure out what exactly Arpita's parents were trying to say. On one hand her mom is telling Yash that he is the one who is immersed in Arpita's memories and that he needs to face the reality that Aarti is indeed going to take Arpita's place and on the other hand she says let's name Aarti, Arpita. So now who is exactly immersed in Arpita's memories.
The most painful scene:
Pain in Yash's eyes when he is told that Aarti will indeed take everything of Arpita's: his name, Arpita's kids and so on. 😭
Worthy of Applause:
Shobha's dialogues to Scindia's. She is brave enough to stand up for Aarti and face Scindia's wrath. 👏But she is also a woman of their generation. She can only go that far. In that instant she probably decided that repercussions on Aarti by calling of the wedding would be much greater than the feelings of injustice Aarti will suffer by changing her name. 😕
Aarti's silence: This is a dilemma. What can she say? What should she say? Should she huff and puff and walk out of this marriage? If she does will she ever be able to face Ansh of depriving him his father who he has come to love so much? Could she have gone and talked to Yash? But how could she? He is a stranger. She does not have a good impression about him. Could she have felt insecure and probably had no faith that talking to Yash about this will not get her positive results?
The most touching Scene:
Was the conversation between the brothers. Today Pankaj forced Yash to think about Aarti as a person. All this time, Yash's mantra was I am doing this for the kids. At some level I think he was completely indifferent to Aarti's feelings about the wedding. He knows she doesn't have a good impression about him but that's about it. I don't think it has occurred to him the sacrifices she too has to make to make this work. And I think for the very first time he was forced to think about it. So yay for Pankaj!👏
The cutest scene:
Yash's expression when he is told that he is going to dance at their bachelor party. :🤣
Tomorrow is going to be fun. And I had a doubt, how in the world did Ramdulare have Paridhi's number
