I just caught up with the parts I missed...This is so, so lovely! Such depth of feeling and sensitivity. I love the way you write - everything flows so eloquently, and it truly feels like this is what the characters in the actual show would think and feel!

Thanks 😊

I smiled to myself so much during Yash's mad dash to the car and his thoughts regarding Aarti going to the park with the terrible trio. "Bloody woman." LOL, the way you write Yash is so cute!

😆

I love it. The millions of thoughts that race through his head - panic, plus all those little details about the kids and Aarti's typical routine like Aarti's tendency to find new places to go, their favorite ice cream flavors - he notices SO much and internalizes it all, too. Something that I might be overanalyzing (since I'm SUCH a Yash-Aarti fanatic): all those parts where Yash asks where Aarti is, and then asks where the kids are...The way his mind flies to Aarti first and then includes the children afterwards, grouping Aarti in the family unit...Is this intentional?

Absolutely! Spot on! He's single-minded about Aarti at this point, though he doesn't realize it, or rather, doesn't realize the implications!

I feel like the pull that Aarti has on Yash at this point is definitely starting to strengthen even more than usual. Another interesting bit: "His heart raced...It must be the relief. There they were. All safe." I know he is relieved, but could his heart have been racing because of some other reason? I'm probably zooming off on a tangent, about to run into a tree. Okay, moving on!

You're absolutely right! My intention there was to show the disconnect between heart and mind...He tries to find rational explanations for his instinctive reactions to Aarti. He's not accepted or even understood his feelings...
I think I've typed for long enough! Didn't even realize it! Hope you update the next part soon; I can't wait to see what happens next!

Thanks very much MelodiousDreams...it's always nice to know that your writing had been understood! I look forward to writing more!

Good lord, I did NOT see that end coming! Wow, wow, wow! I am really speechless, after reading this part, I think I had to read it at least 3 times and wait for a little while to let it all sink in before I could comment! This is so flawlessly written that I can picture Gurmeet and Kratika portraying every scene, expression and dialogue by Yash and Aarti here, and trust me when I say that picturing that last scene was an absolute treat 😳😍

Thanks very much 😊

Anyways, starting from the beginning, I am going to end up analyzing this just as I would do to an episode that's how real it was, so bear with me! The inner monologues of both Yash & Aarti were contrasted beautifully! One one hand Yash can't imagine how Ashant could leave someone as beautiful, kindhearted and in an essence perfect like Aarti, because from what he has observed about her, and he has observed quiet a lot, she has become the light of his life, and how someone can just turn their back on her mind boggles him! She has reached the absolute highest level of respect in his eyes and has become so much to him than just the mother of his kids. And I think one of the best moments was when the thought dawned on Yash that Aarti might still love her ex husband. The way his heart dropped, well that was my first indication that this feelings have gotten way beyond his control at this point, and this was reaffirmed by him imagining the almost kiss! Without planning it, without even knowing about it he has started to fall for her, and not just for her outward beauty but for her even more beautiful inner soul!

And now coming to Aarti, it was brilliant the way you brought her to a full circle with her relationship with Ashant! From battling against the constant question as to why he left her, about what was missing in her that prompted him to break their marriage, to her finding that it really doesn't matter any more, whatever the reason might be really has no significance anymore. Yash's presence in her life has started to erase all those previous self doubts because he is slowly making her realize her own self worth. By becoming the perfect father to her son and fulfilling all his expectations, he swiftly erased all the misconceptions she had about him in her mind, and after that despite her trying to keep the distance between them, she couldn't help but be pulled towards his extraordinary kindness! And it's obvious that despite all her efforts to try emotionally closed towards him, he has been successful in worming his way in her heart. The way she reacted to his smile, like they say, aag dono taraf laagi hai!

😆 😆 I love the phrase!

And last thing before I wrap this up, the quote 'distance makes the heart grow fonder' is absolutely perfect for their relationship. Here it's not physical distance per se, but rather the emotional distance that is making Yash go absolutely crazy and is drawing him more and more towards Aarti!

Exactly! Spot on!
This is what is going to break the barriers between them and cause them to open their hearts fully to each other! I am really excited to see what this revelation brings for Yash when they get back home, will he try to talk to her? Or will he first make space in their room for her so that it becomes a place that she can call hers? The anniversary is coming up so here's to hoping that it brings a new dawn for the both of them! Eagerly waiting for the next part :)

Thanks so much for your lovely comments...it really encourages me to write on!
