.. what i loved most abt aarti was, like you said on the last page - there is something understated abt her... she seemed very natural - she was fully into the character. she emoted the "bubbly" and "lively" aspects perfectly - without overdoing it... wht ticks me off abt many actresses that play similar characters is that many of them tend to overdo the "bubbly" aspect... kratika, atleast from wht we saw today, seemed to have gotten it perfectly. kudos! i think she will be splendid as someone opposite GC- GC is an extremely powerful actor (from wht i've seen from his previous show), and i think kratika can complement him really well!

yup agree with u dear.she already in Arti shoes.Kratika. yes as u said GC is an extremely powerful actor and Kratika is just going to rock with GC😊

I would love to be added as well!

I have been coming to the forum for the past couple days, I have been so impatient for the show to start, but somehow missed this thread. Either way though, Kratika was absolutely phenomenal today, loved her from the beginning to the end of an episode! To charm the audience the way she did and make them instantly connect to you character in just one episode is an amazing feat, and I am hoping we get to see her character being explored in the best way possible! So far like a couple of people have said above me, she seems like someone who finds happiness in the smallest things in life, and her scenes with her son were just the cutest. Just one scene and I was totally in love with their relationship, he really and truly is the reason behind her vibrant smile, and the way she hugged him was so precious!

More regurgitation from the HT article/interview post! 😆
I really admire how sensible Kratika seems; she did her saas-bahu K-soap bit at the beginning of her career, but I feel that Jhansi Ki Rani truly brought out the latent actor in her. Even though I haven't seen much of that show, I was amazed by Kratika's tenacity. Even in her stage performances as Laxmibai, she was completely in character...
I watched her in the last episode of JKR this weekend, and it honestly hurt watching her get wounded and seeing her die slowly...
I think that she's far more talented and expressive than most of the actresses in the film industry, actually, and that's because she puts herself into the shoes of her character and REALLY gets into the skin of the character she's portraying. Her speech and body language changes depending on the situation her character is in (in one of her TT interviews she was asked to say a line in 'Laxmibai andaaz', and immediately Kratika's face became stern even though she was saying "Pack up karo!" and started laughing afterwards!) That approach and dedication shows. These first two episodes of PV have been wonderful to watch because Kratika is already living and breathing as Aarti. Like Kratika said, it becomes effortless if an actor understands his/her character well. She's probably going to blow me away every day if her performance in these first two episodes already has me gushing endlessly! So much to love about her sensitivity to the story and its characters!
I adore this girl so much already! She's fantastic. I'm really looking forward to this show. This is probably the first time I've loved the intro episode for a show with a so-called "seedhi saadhi" heroine (even though Aarti is very much a mature yet cheerful girl) so much, dramatic conventions and all!

I'm going to reply to some more comments in a bit! 😃 I'm glad that there are people here who appreciate Kratika as well as Gurmeet...

Me too Kratika lover.
She is a versatile actress. Hats off to her that she had guts to look beyond stereotype and took this role of a remarried mother.

Noone expected that after protraying Rani Lakshmibai she will comeback as Aarti.

And I love Aarti. She truly represent an Indian woman with different shades of emtions. Her innocent pure smile is hearttouching. She is beautiful , strong, smart yet sometimes innocent, emotional and caring woman.
And and and Kratika's chemistry with Gurmeet is freakingly awesome and an eyetreat to watch.

Keep rocking Kratika!!!!!

Reposting this from the Yash-Aarti AT in hopes of starting up some discussion...

I love this sequence - the second stanza is lovely, Kratika's expressions are adorable, and Gurmeet-Kratika together are magical in all their silence!

(I thought this was Episode 16...At least that's what I saved my mp3 as when I ripped the song back when it was aired!)
- I love how Aarti realizes that Yash is still holding onto her dupatta and then SNATCHES it from him and drapes it over herself like a shawl! The scandalized and utterly affronted looks Kratika makes are SO cute! That expression at 0:46-0:47 makes me laugh so much, since she's got rain streaming down her face and she looks SO mad!
- And all Yash can do is offer a chivalrous, "You first", haha! The look on Aarti's face at 0:58 is hilarious! God, Kratika is too too cute!
- That look on Yash's face after he is able to untangle the dupatta from around his head...What is that expression? Fascination?
- I have a feeling Yash would've continued looking at Aarti if the rain hadn't interrupted him...The contrasting reactions they have to the downpour is so funny! Aarti immediately notices and her reaction is: "OH! It's raining NOW?! Oh no!" while Yash is just: "Oh! It's raining? *looks up at the sky* It's raining!" 🤣
- Kratika's fuming face = adorableness! And then as soon as Gurmeet turns with a calm face, she averts her eyes and the anger is internalized again! God, I love these two as Yash and Aarti! The range and various shades of expressions they exhibit is so enjoyable!
- I'm thinking that Kratika's hands-clenched-in-front-of-the-abdomen gesture is a habit of Aarti's...She does that here, too...It's like one of those automatic stances...And I love how she's fiddling with the ring without even realizing it, while Yash's hand is at his side and he's just steadily trudging on, doing his duty of seeing Aarti off and making sure she's able to get back safely.
- Even here, Yash looks at Aarti a lot to gauge her reactions and emotional states...Love the second stanza! It's so pretty...The "aakhir dil hai na..." bit at the 2:00 mark is extremely pretty with the visual of Aarti lingering at the gate...I love how her hesitation is also shown through her hand clutching the gate and moving ever-so-slowly...The shot of her turning around to look at Yash is stunning, too!
- 2:35ish is so sweet! The camera pans from Aarti to Yash in the same frame but while the focus is on Aarti, I find myself melting at the look on her face there...There's something almost childlike about her then, standing there...And a sort of vulnerability, too, I think...Hesitation, uncertainty, it's all there. She thinks he's going to look at her or something, he doesn't...until she turns to leave.
