Hey everyone! I think I'll be around here a lot - I've pretty much become a huge fan of Kratika's over a span of 3 days, haha! She's very sweet and I love her emotive ability. There's something understated about her acting (which is rather rare, I think) but she conveys so much even when she's silent.

Here's what I posted in the Gurmeet-Kratika AT about my thoughts about the first episode, if anyone's interested in reading 😊

I'm excited to see how Yash behaves with both strangers and his children now that we've seen Aarti. Mr. Wedding Planner, you're next! 😃 I wonder if he's going to be as arrogant and stand-off-ish as I'm picturing him to be. We'll see soon!

The first episode did a good job showing how Aarti interacts with her family, friends, and others. I think it's too early to label Aarti a "sati-savitri" type woman, at least not in a negative way...Even if she seems quiet, it's only been one episode! And her expressions during most of the episode (with the exception of the unfortunate encounter with Vimla Aunty) made me feel as though Aarti is indeed very lively and bubbly by nature; even if she hides a lot of pain by putting on a carefree demeanor now, she was once a cheerful girl.

That scene with Ansh was so, so cute! Both mother and son are incredibly adorable, my god! I loved the dialogues here: I wasn't expecting Aarti to talk about Ansh losing all his teeth and not being able to talk! I was expecting the same old "cavity caution" tactic, but Aarti's 70 years ahead! 😆 That pout Kratika did when the little boy pouted...Awww! "Two-two kissie!" Gah, overdose of sweetness already!

I already love the way Aarti's personality is being presented a lot. She's sensitive and sweet...And she likes dressing conservatively, apparently, which I also liked - there are plenty of girls out there who don't like low-cut tops and tiny blouses like the one Mansi had on...Whether that's an indication of low self-esteem or an inferiority complex remains to be seen in the upcoming episodes. Maybe she just doesn't like the idea of showing off skin just for the sake of it. That's not a bad thing. Regardless, it was a nice contrast between the two friends and that certainly didn't make Aarti any less endearing to me at least.

^i know i also liked her scene with mansi, and the vibe of conservative dressing sense that was coming from heri. i don't think it'd be any sign of inferiority or low self-esteem.. rather i think she is just shown as a very modest girl.. which kinda suits the role - that of a young mother who has been betrayed and thrown away by her hubby, and also perhaps reflects her from being from a traditional background. infact, thinking more along this track - perhaps her "traditional" and "conservative" mindset may be the reason that jerk of a hubby got ticked off and deserted her?? just some possibilities..

.. what i loved most abt aarti was, like you said on the last page - there is something understated abt her... she seemed very natural - she was fully into the character. she emoted the "bubbly" and "lively" aspects perfectly - without overdoing it... wht ticks me off abt many actresses that play similar characters is that many of them tend to overdo the "bubbly" aspect... kratika, atleast from wht we saw today, seemed to have gotten it perfectly. kudos! i think she will be splendid as someone opposite GC- GC is an extremely powerful actor (from wht i've seen from his previous show), and i think kratika can complement him really well!
