OK…..let's see….now the other day when Sarita and Gaurav were having their geometry lessons they were talking of triangle (now my personal favorite are circles)🤔….anyway I thought that they both came to the conclusion that by Divya's actions Raj will be removed between Divya and Gaurav🤔….Divya will remove herself between Raj and Sarita🤔…..But it looks like Divya has been replace by Sarita and Sarita by Divya…….I mean their honesty😲…….honest Divya wants to hide the truth and clingy Sarita wants to tell the truth. I mean why honest Divya was telling Sarita that she was wrong and Sarita was right regarding telling the truth. Guess she was scared that Raj will get angry but then she was also praying that if Raj gets angry let his anger fall on her and not Sarita…….so I don't get it…anyway coming to the triangles……as I was saying that that Divya and Sarita have replaced each other…….that means in the triangle between Gaurav, Raj and Divya….it is now between Gaurav, Raj and Sarita 🤔….the other will still remain the same..only Sarita will be between Raj and Divya (since Divya has been replaced by Sarita)…. ufff this is so confusing🤔………my head is spinning now.

Anyway coming to the show…. good to see that Sarita "tells" everything to Raj and also protects Divya…but then realizes that Raj is playing hide and seek with her and was not listening to her. When Sarita is asked by Raj to tell him what she wanted to tell…..Sarita keeps quiet. That's ok…..atleast she has taken the step regarding telling what is in her heart or the truth…….its ok that this time she told this to air……maybe next time she will make sure that she is telling this to human being and if she misses, then when asked she will have the confidence to say the truth and not be scared that the truth might hurt her. Now I have a problem with the way Sarita has been presented in this show……they are showing that according to Sarita her "love" for Raj is like devotion. So she earlier would have done anything (manipulate, play with emotions, hide the truth) to get it but now with the new awakening she is now ready to go on a sacrifice mission for Raj. Then today she is also absolving him of mistakes committed by him in marriage. I mean when she said that every time it is not husbands fault. True …not always husband is at fault but I could not understand that how can it not be Raj's fault that he did not fulfill his responsibility towards her? Him not supporting her is not his fault? Whose fault is it? Hers? So instead of devotion I am seeing a very emotionally abused person who is extremely emotionally attached with her husband whose silence and uncaring attitude lead to her abuse. Now I don't know whether the makers are planning to show it this way, that slowly Sarita will understand that she is in a unhealthy relationship and for her sake she has to move out. I am not saying this because I want Divya and Raj to be together, but because that will be the ultimate growth in Sarita. Truthfully I also don't want Divya and Raj to be together now…….I would prefer all the character to go their separate ways and then meet up after few years to start their lives with a clean slate. Both Raj and Divya also need time to heal……but if all this happen then where will be melodrama?😉😛

Now coming to Gaurav……I think today he realized that Divya and Raj are still in love with each other……but Divya's dialogues made me scratch my head🤔……..that it is not possible for her to take Sarita's place…. but if she thinks that it is not possible for her to take Sarita's place then why did she think that Sarita can take her place? I mean why was she convincing Raj that Sarita's can take her place?😕

I am so confused……..

Misti, I have not yet seen the show. Just commenting based on WU.

I have been confused since Thursday. All characters keep on changing. So on Thursday, Gaurav was changed from one who doesn't like to play with other people's emotions being ecstatic at all the deception Sarita and Divya were doing. Then he had no concern for Divya.

Sarita and Divya changed on Friday where Sarita was the one who was so moved by Raj's dedication to saving her life that she wanted to tell the truth whereas Divya did not want to back down.

Today they are showing both exchanging their personailities. After leap, viewers were supposed to think that it was no big deal that Divya left in hiding or kept no contact, or that Raj wanted Divya to pick him up over her family becoming homeless and penniless or Sarita happily married Raj after seeing him stone faced and had no issues with him being forced to marry her. Now we are supposed to accept that it was all Divya's idea to manipulate Raj. That Sarita was honest to begin with and she came under Divya's influence. So are we supposed to forget that Divya wanted to advise Raj honestly and was forced to start a lie at Sarita's insistence. That's how today's WU sounded to me. Yes, wonder if the new triangle is now Gaurav-Raj-Sarita.

Ok, can understand Divya not wanting to replace Sarita in Raj's life because Raj made a decision to marry her 10 years ago and too much time has passed. Raj would have continued to live with Sarita if Divya hadn't come back. So she feels that she and Raj would never be able to live a normal life together without guilt. So I am ok with that part. But rest of the part is incomprehensible.

Also, now it seems that Gaurav was unaware of all of Divya's plans. But didn't he endorse this plan on Thursday. Today it seems as if Gaurav was unaware of Divya and Sarita's plans to convince him of Sarita's death. So has Gaurav been changed once again to sane, rational one. Was that Gaurav an anamoly. Also why would he come to Raj's house so openly after Divya and Sarita told him that Raj was unaware of his remaining in Divya's life.

Sarita talking about not being Raj's fault makes it seem as if she has stockholm syndrome. She has got used to this abuse. But I highly doubt that they would address this. This is to show another part of her devotion. The song is nice, but it irritates me so much now whenever they play on Sarita. In fact, showing that one is tolerating emotional abuse because of their so-called "devotion" for another person is highly irresponsible. This is not devotion, but it is self-abuse.

This story and track is making my head spin. They haven't cleared any of prior confusions and are creating more questions.

About Sarita telling the truth to Raj, that wasnt the way to tell...a honest person stands tall and looks in the other person's eyes and tell the truth, not turning her back to him...
Divya, again felt sorry for the girl as she was seeking for a friend's suport...and this gaurav, who by the way seems like he wears clothes too big for him...it looks baggie on him..lolz, he left too early he could have said some more comforting words to divya...but i guess he was afraid raj will catch him...anyway, as u said everything is so confusing...but for me the pooja was the most...didnt understand what was that for..

Myra, that puja is for chanting "Maha Mrityunjaya" mantra. It is the mantra for conquering death as it protects against all threats. So basically, Raj is organizing this puja as he thinks that it may help Sarita ward off her death threat. The surprising part was Raj announcing it to his family and Sarita so casually. I know it was all for melodrama. But it was very strange if you look at it from character's point of view. According to Raj, this fact is only known to him and Divya and Sarita is unaware of it. So he was doing everything ( walking on ambers, giving candle light dinner etc.) to Sarita without Sarita being aware that she may not live long. From his POV, Sarita doesn't even know that he walked on ambers to protect her. So why would he tell this to everyone without any warning to her. If she was really dying, wouldn't she be shocked to know all of this. So the character Raj was telling Divya to keep everything secret from Sarita and then blurt it out so publicly. And nobody is surprised at Sarita's non-reaction to the news of her impending death. Then Shiela the featherbrain is asking Sarita why she didn't tell them anything. Raj is standing there with no reaction to this. Isn't this all a news for Sarita as far as Raj is concerned. The whole episode was so strange today.

Misti, Angie and Myra Nice discussions

@Misti
Thank you for this post and for voicing what I have also been feeling. It appears, right from the start, that the viewers have a strong preference on who ends up with whom. This preference is reflected in the forum discussions also. It is clear that the CVS wish to keep this issue under wraps, leaving everyone confused about the trajectory of the plot. Further, as you mention, the characters keep shifting, further confounding matters. No wonder, then, after nearly 6 weeks of its airing, it is still difficult to follow the storyline.

I am going to try, in this post to look at this situation slightly differently. What if we set aside the whole idea of where this is headed in terms of who is going to end up with whom --as obviously this revelation is appearing to take its own sweet time. What, if anything, does the story tell us so far? In other words, what is it the CVs do want to reveal?

1. Paradoxically, Raj's awareness of the existence of Sarita has suddenly become heightened at the possibility of her non-existence.

2. The threat to Sarita's life is bringing about a change in Raj, not only in his awareness of her, but also in restoring his faith in Bhagavan, God, that, interestingly, had departed from him ten years back, along with Divya.

3. While overtly maintaining that he still feels no love for her, Raj is slowly being drawn into Sarita's world, rediscovering his role and commitment as a husband and protector. In a way, for Raj, this provides a safe boundary for him to attend to Sarita's needs, without needing to disturb his "being in love" feeling for Divya.

4. Divya is over her head in this situation, and is slowly awakening to the fact that this is not her reel world, falling chandeliers notwithstanding. She faces a serious conflict of interest. Her very attempt to bring her lover closer to his wife is fraught with misery and insecurity of the possibility of losing him altogether.

5. This insecurity is rattling Divya's composure, and although, generally, she is a personality that is outgoing and full of aplomb, she is feeling more introverted, unsure, and withdrawn.

6. For this reason, Divya suddenly is feeling the need of Gaurav in her life, as a confidant, and supporter. That is why she said that she "misses" him in today's episode.

7. Gaurav, who would normally deem all this as a hare-brained scheme, is seen in today's episode as a different personality. Could it be that he wishes to feel "needed" by Divya, and is enjoying her wanting his presence in her life? Could it be that circumstances are pushing Divya and Gaurav together, just as a related set of circumstances are pushing Raj and Sarita closer?

8. Unless I have misread the whole situation entirely, THE LIE may not come out any time soon. Without THE LIE, there is not much to hold things together and propel the plot forward. It might be the fuel that keep this plot chugging along. In this regard, the precap might be deliberately misleading, wherse, ironically, the same Raj --who was supposed to hear his wife's confession does not do so even when she directly addresses him-- is seen to have indirectly heard Divya's confidences to Gaurav. I think that Raj looks angry not because he has come to know of the Divya-Sarita plot, but because he saw Gaurav talking with Divya. Seeing the force of Raj's anger may be a powerful motivator for Divya to rethink her decision to come clean to Raj.

9.However, if I am wrong about this, and THE LIE is exposed soon, this would explain the new entries, and Raj's decision to get on with Sarita's punarvivah.

10. What happens when Raj's plan to marry Sarita off backfires, with the prospective groom wooing his sister instead?

We have to wait and see.

Thank you for reading this post.

Yes, there is a lot of disconnect. Have the writers changed from last week perhaps?

@Misti, finally I managed to watch the show and I now understand why you are talking about the confusion. I can understand both Sarita and Divya feeling guilty especially now that Raj injured himself trying to protect Sarita. I can even see Sarita trying to tell Raj (even if she couldn't manage to tell him straight up and then kept quiet) because there is some evolution in her after seeing how Raj is going overboard with his efforts to save her.

What I didn't get was Divya telling Sarita that she was right in wanting to tell the truth to Raj when it was always Divya who wanted to do so. Then she asked Sarita to go and tell him everything. Divya was always the one who admitted her mistakes and took everything heads on regardless of consequences. On one hand, she is praying that Raj's anger should be on her instead of Sarita. Since Sarita is the not the one to tell Raj of this prophecy and it was Divya who did that. So why would Divya send Sarita to tell Raj the truth. Then in the next scene with Gaurav, she is talking about telling Raj the truth. So it seems that there was a disconnect between two scenes.

I know Karan went on vacation and hence he pre-recorded a lot of his scenes as I saw in some other post. So maybe some scenes were shot before he went on the vacation and the scene between Divya and Gaurav was shot after the story changed. It seemed from the last scene that Divya was not aware that Sarita had gone to tell the truth to Sarita and was intending to tell the truth to Raj herself. There was a big disconnect between two scenes. Divya in Gaurav's scenes look like old Divya and Divya with Sarita seemed like a character shift.

Gaurav too today seemed like his old self whereas on Thursday he had seemed different.

LIke you, I don't want these characters to be together because they need to be sorted out. Before I had thought of Gaurav as being support for Divya. Now I think Gaurav and Divya too should remain just friends for the time being until all characters sort themselves out. For now, I just want to understand these characters and for that I need to see a consistent characterization along with some movement rather than story going in circles. Right now, I no longer think that there is going to be an explanation of the past of these 3 characters.

Now Sarita absolving Raj of any sin goes with her character. It seems that from the very beginning, she never blamed him for anything. Initially, it was Divya for 10 years who was at fault. Today she was saying that Raj never insulted her. But is tolerating her insults and not standing up for her not disrespecting her considering that he agreed to marry her without informing her of his past prior to the marriage. Now she may be at fault if she could have backed down from the wedding (supportive nice rich and influential parents), but decided to go ahead because she had got attached to him in an obsessive way. My fear is that creatives are constantly calling Sarita's actions of staying in this dysfunctional relationship as devotion and now are making Sarita a true devotee who is willing to sacrifice anything for the one whom she is devoted to. So the abuse will all be Kamla's fault as Dadi is being touted as this nice person when she is not coming like that at all to me.

Warning: This post ended up being even longer than my usual posts.
@aimf:
I am also not concerned with who ends up with whom at this point as I did not start watching this show to see a particular pair. Rather I want to see a logical story where characters move forward in a logical way that is consistent with their characterization.

I think the broad tracks are same because they are talking about bringing a groom for Sarita as Raj wants Sarita to have PV. Since Raj always wanted to do PV of Sarita, probably this was always going to be there. But it is likely that they are bringing this track earlier than intended.

As for your 10 points, I liked how you interpreted actions of three characters and their changing responses to events.

1--3 points are about Raj's change. To me, Divya going and coming back is a reason of his awareness. My interpretation of Raj is just based on what they have shown far and how I have interpreted his actions in absence of a proper back story. He has been brought up in a very dysfunctional family where father has no respect for women. The grandmother has been disdainful of his mother from the beginning because mother doesn't match her standards of culture. Her and her son's behavior has resulted in all daughters disrespecting the mother. The mother doesn't think highly of any men and believe that it is a woman's duty to keep them in control by not providing temptations to them. So rather than blaming her son for his behavior, it is Kamla whom she blames. The mother thinks that a value of a woman is to give a son to her husband and keep her husband by playing manipulative games. The father has no respect for either a son or a daughter. The son is a means to get status and to continue the family legacy. Then they get a sensitive son like Raj who is artistic and cultured. So he is already aloof from his family because he never told Divya anything about them. He kept Divya completely away from his family. Divya was this vibrant girl to whom he was not only phsyically attracted, but was also emotionally and intellectually attracted. She more than filled a big hole in his life the way she needed him in every way and yet gave him space as Divya is not clingy.

So he lost his bearings when Divya left him. His awareness was left to big broad events where he only reacted if somebody's life was in danger or somebody felt obvious physical discomfort. So Divya coming back is bringing back that old Raj because she has brought back that hope of a dream life. But after what he has done, it is not possible to move ahead seamlessly as there is sombody's life he has ruined. So Divya coming back brought back that hidden remorse that was buried deep inside. The fear of losing Sarita is because then he will never be able to get rid of this guilt and he would never be able to live peacefully with himself. So your 1 & 2 have come because Divya the emotional anchor is back. Divya fills that hole in his life. The question is whether he would now be able to move forward even if Divya doesn't come back in his life in the capacity he wants. Maybe now that he is becoming aware of his responsibilities, it may happen.

3) I agree with it as to him, he can do both without disturbing the equilibrium of his beliefs. Also, right now he has Divya living with him and she is his confidant the way she probably was 10 years ago.. So he has that support.

4--6) I like your points about Divya.. Divya definitely is missing Gaurav because he seems to be the only one who has provided her support unconditionally in last 10 years.. Divya too had been clinging to illusions to survive and never had anybody on whom she was able to lean on for support ever since her parents died.. Gaurav provides that without making too many demands. Even when he starts demanding too much, he backs down when he sees her discomfort.

She was aware that she was still deeply in love with him. She also knew that it was going to be difficult to let go of Raj.. But it is hitting her more strongly because Raj has such strong feelings for her. Any human being would be tempted to go for that. Also, it is difficult to see a person whom one loves so intensely performing those marriage type rituals with another woman..

7) The circumstances and actions of all four are moving Raj-Sarita and Divya-Gaurav together. But will Raj and Divya be able to let go of each other truly is the question. It is not easy to let go of a deep love especially when the break-up was not a result of any betrayal. It was an unnatural breakup that did not bring any closures. So how will they get that closure now not only depends on Raj and Divya, but also on Sarita and to some extent Gaurav too.
8) This one I am not sure about as they showed in SBS Raj accusing Divya of making Sarita lie to him. But that can be misleading. Probably the truth will not come out that early as usually in serials, it never does. You probably are right that the anger relates to seeing Gaurav with Divya. Also Raj is aware that Divya is trying to push him towards Sarita.
9) The new entries were probably originally planned, but are coming sooner as the ratings have fallen. Raj is planning to do PV regardless of whether he thinks Sarita's life is in danger. He thinks that he can fend off any danger to Sarita and then move ahead with PV.
10) This one would be interesting to see. This would be another potential rejection for Sarita. Sarita's self-esteem has been low because of all the rejection and neglect she tolerated at Raj's hands combined with the constant comparison with Divya's TV avatar in last 7 years. So Raj has to feel responsible at Sarita's treatment. On top of that, if his chosen candidate ends up falling for his sister, then he would feel even more guilty that he caused even more pain for Sarita.

Wonderful post

So kind of you to respond to my points. Yes, generally speaking, the characters are being shown to be emerging out of their comfort zone or their place of denial.

I do hope that they address the disconnects that you mention in your other post. It made no sense at all that Divya was putting the entire onus of the revelation of the truth on to Sarita. It made Divya look like an irresponsible character, which she most definitely is not.

I like what you said about the new entries being ushered in earlier than planned to rescue the downwardly plunging trps.

You have a finely developed mind, and your thoughts are expressed artistically and insightfully. I always like reading what you have to say. Om shantih
