sahithi... let me just clear your one doubt... sagar's i wouldnt say have done the most credible research.. it is very easy to claim that you have done research for 10 years but how deep have they researched into it yaar? any layman can say that what they are showing on screen is not on the basis of any research... its based on their resources, public interest and other factors...
(ball dancing and crocodile fights)

besides, i have directly heard one of the most credible sources here mentioning to me that the sagars themselves agreed to not actually following what they found about prithviraj chauhan. they mentioned that they are not showing him with 7 wives simply because the Indian public would not be able to digest it..

it is strange that you would consider a person from the 19th or 20th century's work more credible than maybe a work from the 12th-15th century... i would definitely think that that would be able to paint of better picture of how history was then...

i am not demeaning james todd's work but that does not mean that only his work was right.. it is better to be open minded about everything you know or read..because history is always written by winners and the truth about what the historical figure may or may not be exactly what we read in one place...

hi lakshmi

i am sorry i did not reply soon, yes i can definitely tell u where the book store is its called motilal banrsidass book store,it's in the jayanagar 4th block shopping area in a building next to calypso music store(sorry i dont have the postal adress or telephone number) if u are not familar with that area just ask anybody to guide u to calypso music store this book store is a building next to it,it's quiet small and inconspicous but blive me when it comes to history and philosophy books, which sometimes may not be available in many book stores is most of the times found here.
last time i visited the person who looks after the store told me he will try to get it for me(he did say that it was out of stock, which means that he did have it but sometimes these people just say it,although i dont blive he had it bfore i can trust him to really get the book for me bcoz he has done it many times previously when i have asked him for rare books ),so if u go there and do find the book pllllllzzzzzzzzz inform me so i can tell my family there to buy a book for me. i hope this much of info helps u to find the bookstore.and one more thing lakshmi all the info on the wikipedia website as according to what i know is based on information available in various books so its not surprising that wikipedia has this info which maybe from the book by James Todd, sorry if i sound offensive but this is what i felt

i am sorry if i was not clear in my previous post abt the info i had from the book, actually i have still not read the book myself,it so happens that my history teachr has read this book long ago and bcoz she stays close to my house in b'lore and i always visit her bcoz she is very close to me from school days and this time when i visited i had all these questions ready for her abt my new found love that is PRC,so she told me abt this book and also that PRC did have one wife and that was sanyogita, the book basically says abt the history of rajasthan and not PRC alone, but concentrates more on PRC bcoz he was the greatest king of his times

anyways sorry guys if i misguided u ppl in thinking that i actually read this book actually i was so excited when i read this topic that i did not mention this point,i wanted to post a topic on this but i was just waiting to read the book first and then do so bcoz i wanted to confirm and all the best lakshmi i jst hope u do find the book soon

These people were there bfore india got independence.. The britishers who ruled us at that time thought its better that a foreign writer be given the award.. n not indian writers.. I wasnt aware of that information

I have already said.. the book i have has been certified by the govt. of India..

written by chand bardai o its written by chand bardai what do u mean? I meant since its written by chand bardai, its sounds true now

anu dii m saying that i dont believe laksmii dii. Its really nice if her to share the information she has managed to collect....but then her version of Raso makes prithvi look like a villian, and if Prithvi was really like that why would he be so famous..?😕

lashy dii..for a while lets assume that prithvi had 7 wives. But then laksmi dii's Raso also states that Prithvi forced Sanyo to marry him. If Prithvi was that bad then why would he be soo famous? Why would Prithvi-Sanyo's love story be soo famous
