Rivalry between kannoj n Delhi/Ajmer
In Sagars story, it is shown that kannoj n Ajmer were close friends initially and the fight started because of delhi's simhasan. However in history, the fight had started long before that. King Anagpal's elder daughter was in love with vijaypal the king of kannoj which was opposed by anagpal. So Anangpal declared a war against kannoj, however he started loosing n a situation came where vijaypal would take over delhi. At this time, Someshwar, king of ajmer helped n saved delhi, though he could not gain kannoj. Rupsundari, when she came to know that her father attacked kannoj, got angry n married vijaypal. However she took a promise from her husband that he would never attack delhi. Anangpal married his younger daughter to someshwar, n when prithvi was born he declared that prithvi would be the crown prince of delhi.

A father who opposed his daughter's wishes?
In sagars version, we see jaichand as a stern father n sanyo is scared of talking to him. However the real jaichand was supposed to be very fond of his daughter sanyogita. He gave her all sorts of freedom. It is said that she was sent to gurukul to learn everything. Though in the serial they show that many rajkumaris went to the ashram, actually
sanyo was the only rajkumari there. Madan Brahmini was the wife of the guru there. sanyo was the favourite of madan brahmini there. She learned everything along with other boys there( though there was no rajkumars there)

A person with modern views
In those times, girls were married of at young age. Pratha was married when she was 12-13yrs old when someshwar was alive. And the person whom a girl had to marry was decided by her father. However jaichand waited till sanyo was matured enough ie until she was 16, and he never forced her to marry anyone. He was the only king during that time who organised a swayamwar for his daughter. It is true that she garlanded the statue of prithvi during the swayamwar, however neither prithvi came to the swayamwar nor she ran away with him at that time.

Prithvi-Sanyo were deeply in love?
here it is shown that prithvi n sanyo met each other before n were deeply in love. THey used to send messages to each other. However in history, they never met each other nor communicated with each other. Prithvi hears abt sanyo's beauty thru a poet n was impressed. And sanyo heard abt prithvi's bravery n was impressed. However they were not madly in love with each other.

Prithvi taking away sanyo in front of her father.
It is often said that prithvi -sanyo eloped during her swayamwar in front of all the kings n princes there. However actually, prithvi had declared a war on kannoj.One day he sent his army to fight and himself disguised n went to other part of kannoj where sanyo was staying. It is said that they have a gandharva vivah there. However prithvi came back next morning leaving sanyo there.

Prithvi did not want to take sanyo to ajmer.
As i have said above, prithvi left sanyo in her palace n came back in the morning. However kanha noticed the bangle pieces on prithvi's clothes n asked prithvi about it. It was then that everyone came to know abt last night's events. Punder then forced prithvi to get sanyo there n take her to ajmer.

Sanyo did not want to leave kannoj.
When punder forced prithvi to get sanyo there, prithvi again went to sanyo's palace. it seems she had fainted n was in a state of shock. When prithvi brought her to battle field, she did not want to go to ajmer. Then punder n kanha talked to her n finally she agreed.

Jaichand was a weak king?
Kannoj was also a powerful kingdon, almost equal to delhi. In this battle, prithvi lost most of his army n powerful generals. Punder also dies in this battle.

Jaichand was a traitor Most of us here call jaichand as a traitor because he joined hands with ghori. We feel so because we consider jaichand n prithvi to be indians n ghori a foriegner. However lets face the fact. there was no India at that time. It was all different states. So kannoj, delhi n afghan were 3 different countries. Jaichand could not defeat prithvi so he took help of ghori n he succeded. However he could not save his daughter. when sanyo came to know the rest of the wives of prithvi were captured by ghori, she committed suicide."

Pri-Sanyo's love story is very famous!! but acc to the Raso laksmi dii has, it seems like they were never in love..just infatuation??
i agree wid you to that Prithvi might not have been an angelic character as shown by the sagars, but i dont think he was that bad either!!

Hmmm i dont even remember laks mentioning that he forced sanyo to marry him.. 😕 she garlanded him out of her own wish during the swayamwar.. oh yes but i think it does mention that his other wives were not happy about his wedding with sanyogita - probably because she would be younger/more beautiful than the rest of them and also probably they could see the love he seemed to have for this princess of kannauj.... but she never mentioned about him forcing to marry her..
all i am trying to say is that PRC was not anything like the PRC they are showing on screen. he was a brave 12th century king who defended the mughals against invasion.. but he was a king with his plus points and minuses.. he was nowhere pristine white perfect like they are showing on screen he was a normal human with his faults and he did his share of mistakes as well probably... 😊
