See what I found out in the net!! Jaichand is not a Chauhan ...he is a Gahadwala!!

The founder of the Gahadwala line was Govindchandra Gahadwala. He was an astute ruler and ruled from Kannauj. Most of North India, including the university town of Nalanda was a part of his kingdom. He stoutly defended his kingdom from further Muslims incursions. He instituted a tax for this purpose, which was called Turushka Danda (i.e. tax to fight the Turushkas or Turks). His grandson was Jaichandra Gahadwala (Rathod) who played a tragic role in Indian History.

I think Jaichand once refered to himself as Jaichand Chauhan!! I am not sure though!!....

And 2 more facts I found out!!!
Prithviraj Chauhan's real name was Rai Pithora!! 😕
PRC is an actually better name!!

Chauhan is the corrupt form of Chahaman!!! 😕

And the most important thing....his age....

This article says that Prithvi was born in 1162 and died in 1192....which makes Prithvi 30 years old when he died......

Thank you for that information. He still died very young. Did he have any children?

How can you say this is the true fact about Prithviraj Chauhan? To my experience, when you surf the net you'll get many contradictory facts about one single issue! And why do we have doubts on Historical facts about Prithviraj Chauhan evolved from Chand Bardai's Prithviraj Raso? Just because Chand Bardai (Chandar) wrote it in praise of his friend and King? hm....I wonder if that is a good enough reason.

Anyway, I think rather than getting in to confusions/contradictions we should try learning the good facts about this inspiring character. This real historical character 'Prithvi' has to offer us a lot to learn about bravery, duties, humanity and love.

I love the show from the beginning.

hey latifa, those guys have not yet responded. Ususally we can get it within 2 weeks time, but i have still not received it. Guess i have to send them a remainder letter now. THis time its going to be a registered letter. Last time, in the excitement of getting the book, i cldn't send it as registered.

He died at 30....He had 4 children....
