PART 34 :
" Kyun ki hum tumse bahot pyaar karte hai prithvi....bahot zyaada pyaar..."
And she hugged him tightly, while he hugged her back.
Both were very happy and both were crying....
Love is strange....
Their happiness was making them cry....
They forgot everything else....All they remember was only the other person hugging them.
He was pulling her closer as much as possible, to assure himself that she was really there.....
And the atmosphere was filled with only two names.....
" Prithvi...."
" Sanyogita....."
As they kept chanting each other's name.....
After a while, they slowly separated from each other.
Sanyogita looked at him once and blushed.
She quickly looked down.
Prithvi lifted her chin with his finger.
Her eyes were lowered with all the shyness.
He lightly kissed her on her eyes.
She shut her eyes tightly and smiled.
Prithvi was lost in her beauty.
She was looking more beautiful than before...
" Chalein sanyogita ?", he softly asked.
she nodded and they started for the yatra.
Now the atmosphere was seeming more beautiful...more enchanted...
Prithvi was feeling like in bliss, with his jungli billi by his side...
He looked at her and smiled broadly.
He lightly brushed his hand with hers, and then slowly held it.....firmly.
He could tell, without even looking that, she was smiling...!
Sanyogita all this while was thinking about her rude behaviour and attitude toward Prithvi...
Though she too suffered in this separation, it was Prithvi who suffered the most.
He, inspite of his innocence, had to suffer her hatred, accusation....
Though he won't ever tell her and let her know, she knew what pain she gave him and what agony he went through...
' Parr...Pitaji ? Hum unke viruddh kaise...', she thought.
She was confused....She knew she loves Prithvi, but on the other hand was her father...
Who loved her like anything...
who pampered her like anything....
who wouldnt have even a morsel of food before Sanyogita ate...
Whose day starts with gazing at her face and ends after he watches his lovely daughter go sleep peacefully...
Even a mild headache of sanyogita, makes him panic like it's a huge calamity in Kannauj.....
Flashes went pass her eyes....
"Kabhi kabhi jo samne dikhta hai woh pura sach nahi hota hai."
"Tumne kabhi koi baat puri jani hi nahi. Bas jo suna, dekha usko leke natije pe poch gayi."
Prithvi had told her...
"Mera koi irada nahi tha yaha aake tumse baat karne ka. Mujhe aana pada.....Mein majboor tha." He replied rudely.
"Kyun?." asked sanyogita quietly.
"Kyun.....?? Koi tumhe pareshaan kare, yeh mujhse bardash nahi hota hai."
He looked at her, she was about to open her mouth when he said.....
"Ab yeh mat puchna kyun. Ha mein janta hu ab koi rishta nahi hai humare bich, phir bhi........... Har sawal ka jawab nahi hota."
His concern for her showed in his every act....
"Prithvi ne sabke samne hamara aapmaan kiya."
"Hum aapse puchte hai Sanyogita, kya ek raja ka farz ada karne mein humne koi kasar chodi, Kya hum iske layak nahi ke hum ek rajya chala sake."
"Nahi pitaji....... nahi, aap sabse achhe, aap jaisa koi raja nahi."
'Kya pitaji ke saath anyay nahi hua?? Prithvi ne Delhi ka singhasan dhoke se ....Nahi...par Prithvi aisa nahi kar sakta. Kya uski koi majboori....'
"Mere dil ki baat tum kyun samaj nahi pa rahi ho?" he said each word heavily, with low voice.
"Hamare liye sari duniya chodne ka vaada kiya aur dusre din hi, hume thukarake Delhi ko apnaya tumne."
"Mein tumhe pehle bhi keh chuka hu woh meri majburi thi."
"Jhuth..."
"Zakhmi aur behoshi ke halat mein nanaji ne mujhse Delhi sambhalne ko kaha, mein unhe inkaar kaise karta?"
"Maharaj Anagpal toh hamare pitaji ko Delhi saupna chahte the, jo tumne chhina hai unse."
"Nahi, yeh sach nahi hai, maine kuch nahi chhina hai."
"Issi Delhi ke liye, Ajmer mein sabke samne hamare pitaji ka aapmaan kiya tumne."
"Apmaan maine kiya ya tumhare pitaji ne nanaji ka kiya, yeh jake puchho tum apne pitajise. Aur tumhe lagta hai mein aaisa karunga Sanyogita? Kya itna hi jaan payi tum mujhe?"
What was the truth ??
' Aakhir Sach kya hai??', she mused.
"Dil ke dard ke samne yeh dard toh kuch bhi nahi hai."
The pain in his eyes.... sadness of his voice....
"Mein tumhare liye sari duniya chod sakta hu."
' Phir kyun aisa kiya Prithvi?' , she looked upto him with tears in her eyes, ' Kya hamari koi jagah nahi hai tumhari zindagi mein ? Tumne hamare badle Delhi ko kyun chuna? ' .
"Ab tumhi socho Sanyogita, kya Maharaj Anagpal pehlese hi Delhi mujhe nahi saupna chahte thhe? Issi baat se hi toh Maharaj Jaichand mujhase aur Ajmer se nafarat karte hai."
Prithvi continued slowly.
She remembered how her father was hurt due to Delhi politics. Sanyogita's eyes were filled with tears.
"Tum unke jagah hote toh kya karte Prithvi? Unse woh chiz chin li gayi jispe unka sabse pehle haq banta thha."
"Mein bhi shayad, unhi ki tarah ghussa hoke chala jata." Prithvi said restlessly. "Par Delhi pane ke liye koi galat kadam nahi uthata, kisiki jaan lene ki koshish nahi karta."
"BAS" Sanyogita cried loudly and she got up. Prithvi too got up.
"Bas Prithvi ab ek aur ilzaam dala tumne..."
"Sanyogita uss..."
' Kya pitaji aisa...NAHI !! Pitaji aisi ghatiya harkat nahi kar sakte ! Kabhi nahi...parr....'
"Sanyogita mujhe batao, Pushkar mein Bhimdev ne mujhe marne ka jaal bichaya hai, yeh baat tumhe Jaichand se hi pata chali naa?"
"Tab tumhe pata hoga, ke agar Jaichand chahte toh ghussa bhulake, iss yojna ko nakamayaab kar sakte thhe, par unhone kuch nahi kiya, kyunki woh yehi chahte thhe ke mein unke raste se hat jau."
She shivered at that...
"Par kya tumhare pitaji ke iss dushman se tum pyaar nahi karti??"
' Haan...karte hai...bahot Pyaar karte hai tumse Prithvi.'
"Zamino ki ladai thi bibiji." Anita sat down on the ground and looking up at Sanyogita said,
"Hum log iss galat faimi the ke hamare bua ke bete ne batware mein hamare pitajike hisse ki zameen chin li. Par baat mein ehsaas hua, ke woh chaal toh hamare bade tauji chale thhe. Weh bahot kharaab insaan hai bibiji.
Hum logone galat samjha ke hamare bua ke bete ne hume dhoka diya."
"Par ab sachaai ka pata hume chala aur humne unse mafi mangli aur unhone hame svikaar kiya."
"Tumhe iss baat ka ehsaas kaise hua ke tumhare hone wale pati bekusur ho sakte hai?"
"Kya hume hamare chahnewalon ki aankhein dekhkar samaj mein nahi aata bibiji?
Unki aankhonme bas sachai aur pyaar nazar aaya mujhe, har waqt. Aur maine bhi ek vishwaas maan mein rakhkar, sikke ki dono baju jaan li, tab mujhe pata chala ke weh nirdosh hai."
Sanyogita stared at his innocent form, walking close by.....She was recalling his words....
"Tum ek baar mujhse saach jaan lo, phir tumhe jo karna hai karo........ Apni sachai bataye bagair mein yaha se nahi jaunga.... Aur tumhe lagata hai mein aaisa karunga Sanyogita, bas itna hi jaan payi tum mujhe."
And she regretted that she did not do anything to know the reason behind Prithvi's action against her father.
She could recall that night, when he was begging her, to listen to him at least once.
"Tumhe sirf aadha sach pata hai."
' Humein pura sach jaan na hai !' , she thought.
"Payal Maharaj Anagpal se hamare pitaji ko aaya sandesh humne khud pada tha, usme saaf saaf likha tha ke woh hamare pitaji ko Delhi ke maharaj banane wale hai."
"Woh isliye kyunki Prithvi ke naam se jhuta sandesh kannauj se Maharaj Anagpal ko gaya tha, jisme likha tha ke Prithvi Delhi ka singhasan tyag raha hai. Par sachaai tab samne aayi jab Prithvi aur Maharaj Anagpal ki Delhi mein mulaqat hui, tab jab Maharaj Anagpal buri tarah se zakhmi ho gaye thhe."
"Tum aaisa kyun nahi karti." Payal raised her voice ,"Maahraj Anagpal se hi sachhai jaan lo, tab dudh ka dudh aur pani ka pani ho jayega. Bas jo bhi dekha suna usko sach manke aaise haath pe haath rakhe baithi mat raho. Yeh tumhare zindagi ka sawaal hai, kuch karo, kahi aaisa naa ho tumhe aaga jake sirf pashtana pade aur kuch nahi."
' Haan....humein poori sachchai jan ne keliye kuch toh karna hi hoga ! Prithvi par bharosa na karne ki galati hum ek baar kar chuke hai. Ab aur nahi....Prithvi iss hadd tak kabhi nahi gir sakta....jaroor koi raaz toh hai....Kismat ne hamein ek aur mauka diya hai...ab hum Prithvi ko nahi kho sakte ! '
" Sanyogita main tumse kuch kehna chahta hoon." , Prithvi said all of a sudden.
She looked at him with question in her eyes.
" Uss raat tumse milne ke baad maine yeh tai kar liya tha ki main Delhi ka singhasan nahi swikarunga. Par ussi samay hamein khabar mili ki Delhi par hamla kardiya hai....Aur Nanaji unka muqabla akele nahi kar sakte the. Jab main waha pohocha toh Nanaji buri tarah ghayal the...aur unhone mujhse yeh vachan maanga ki main Delhi ka swikaar karu...."
Tears flowed out of his eyes and he choked.
Sanyogita understood he wants to say something...
He finaly caught hold of his hands tightly and looked straight into her eyes...
" Maine kabhi tumhare badle Delhi ko nahi chuna Sanyogita.....kabhi nahi....Parr mujhe mere kartawyon ne baandh diya tha. Tum jaanti ho, Pitaji mujhse kaha karte the...ke ek Raja hamesha akela hota hai. Usse hamesha dusro ka sahara ban na padta hai, parantu uske swayam ke aansu pochnewaala koi nahi hota...."
Tear rolled out from her eye too...
" Main tumse behad pyaar karta hoon Sanyogita. Par main ek Raja bhi hoon. Aur har aadarsh Raja ki tarah mujhpar bhi pehla haqq meri praja ka tha, hai, aur hamesha rahega. Par ek baat kabhi mat bhoolna....Maharaj Prithviraj chauhan keliye bhalehi apni Praja se jyaada ahem kuch na ho, Par Prithvi ki zindagi uski Sanyogita se hai....Uski har khushi, har aansu, har dard , har sukh, tumse hai....Meri saanse, meri zindagi tum ho....Yeh Prithvi apni iss jungli billi keliye apni jaan..."
He was stopped with Sanyogita's hand on his lips...
Tears were flowing like river from his eyes...
" Hum tumse kabhi baat nahi karenge !" , she shouted.
" Sanyo...."
" Naam mat lo hamara !", she walked away, while he followed her quickly.
" Par meri baat toh suno...."
" Dekho Prithvi, hum keh rahe hai ! Hamein aur gussa mat dilaao ! Achcha nahi hoga tumhare liye !"
He caught hold of her hand and made her stop.
" Baat kya hai, woh toh batao! Dekho...mujhe maaf kardo. Par aise..."
" MAAFI !!! Maafi galati ki hoti hai...gunaah ki nahi !", she yelled, as she wiped her tears roughly.
" GUNAAH ?? Maine kya...", he was confused.
" Jab dekho tab marne ki baat karte ho ! Kitni baar humne tumse kaha ki aisa..."
He didnt let her complete.... He pulled her closer in circle of his arms.
They both were lost in each other's eyes, when he saw those beautiful eyes filled with tears...
" Sanyogita ?" , Prithvi asked softly, as he wiped her tears.
" Hum tumhare bagair nahi jee sakte Prithvi...", she said crying, " Hum tumhe khona nahi chahte."
He crushed her to him.
Today, he wanted to cry.....cry out all the pain, and suffering here....in her arms....
They stayed like that for eternity....
when prithvi said,
" Ab chale?? Humesha tumhari wajehse mujhe der ho jati hai....Jungli billi !!"
Sanyogita looked at him in shock and as he burst out in laughter, started hitting his chest,
He continued laughing, while protecting himself from her assailing hands, adding to her annoyance.
" Bigde Raiiss !! Ruko !! chodenge nahi hum tumhe !!"
" Wahi toh main chahta hoon ! Ki tum kabhi mujhe na chodo !"
She hugged him tightly......

While walking, she didnt know how, she leaned on his broad shoulder.
Abruptly taken aback by the touch of soft skin on his shoulders; Prithvi turned around to observe sanyogita's face leaning close to his, while she continued to stare into the horizon.
Immediately silenced by the drawing nature of her gentle features; his emotions begin to race, as he notices her tranquil beauty.
Stunned , his breathing intensify in response to his stirred passions, as he reflects on her charm.
'How could anyone be so beautiful and yet so innocent of it...', he thought.
Having failed to realize so long that her head was resting on him; Sanyogita suddenly snapped out of her dreams, to comprehend what she had just been doing.
Noticing Speechless Prithvi gaping at her; she slowly moved her head away from his shoulder,embarassingly.
The blush on her face captivated Prithvi.
He slowly advanced towards her face to gently tuck the lock of hair brushing her cheek, behind her ear.
He caressed her face to feel her soft cheek with the back of his fingers.
Prithvi tenderly folded his fingers into her hair with his firm palm enclosing her soft cheek.
Staring at his dashing form; Sanyogita felt her heart pounding heavily at the perception of his touch.
After staring into each other's eyes for a long while; the Prithvi looked at her for a moment and then gradually yield to an unprecedented desire of wanting to feel her lips against his.
As she feels his breath closer to her skin, though willing the closeness; she wasnt sure how to react to their moment of intimacy and rapidly shuts her eyes anxiously.
Noticing her abruptly shut eyes; Prithvi apprehends at once that Sanyogita was uneasy with his boldness and chides himself...
"Yeh main....yeh main kya karne ja raha tha!"
He slowly left her face....he couldnt meet her eyes as she slowly opened them as soon as he left her face....
" Ch...chalein?" , he managed to say and walked ahead...
only if he would have turned back.....
Then He could have seen the smile on her lips as blush covered her cheek and happiness in her eyes....
