For me he already played Chandragupta Maurya really well. That show is so underrated. It felt like Ashish brought CGM back to Earth. He played exactly like what everyone read about him.

Indeed a really good choice but I want him to play more of a grey character like yayati. He was a selfish father, a lover but also a cheater and totally indulged in worldly pleasures but I guess nobody will make a shhow about him without whitewashing his character.

Asoka definitely!!

Asoka wasn't really white initially

It was only after the war with Kalinga that he became completely white

It would be great to watch Ashish portray grey shades

He didn't become completely white at all, he massacred ajivika sect just because they criticized Buddha.

Unlike the fictional movie and serials karuwaki was initially a prisoner after she lost kalinga war and she was compelled to accept Buddhism if not forced so that she could become his wife.

He would be a good yayati and two women fighting over yayati is a treat to watch.😳😆
