I read only a little in the starting. Its really nice till what I have read. Till what I have read, Champa and Chapla are physically strong enough to lift even men on their back. Chapla is a gundi type girl who can't be messed with. Champa is not as talented as Chapla. There was even a banter between Chapla and Tej Singh where Tej Singh teases her of calling herself an ayaara when she can't even stop Nazim from getting out of jail(whom Ahmed released from garden prison after Chandrakanta, Champa and Chapla left him there). There is no magic while taking someone's form but they wear the clothes of the person they take form of and make their face on themselves by quickly making face masks. One thing I did not liked is that the male aiyyaars actually strip even women who they take form of to change into their clothes. Virendra and Chandrakanta both love each other from the start of the novel. In the novel, Chandrakanta hates Kroor Singh, Nazim and Ahmed as she knows they are bad and how Kroor has evil eyes on her. She told her dad many times that Nazim and Ahmed are not good people but her dad never listens to her as Kroor Singh managed to bring him under his influence where he always listens to Kroor Singh thinking him right. Naugarh and Vijaygarh were friendly kingdoms but Kroor Singh somehow ended their friendship. Kroor Singh wants to kill Jai Singh to himself become King and marry Chandrakanta.
I can only say this much as I have read only till byaan- 5 of pehla adhyaay.
I wish cvs bring Devgiri back in the show for Champa as in the novel Champa loves Devi Singh who is also an aiyyar of Virendra. I am sure Devgiri is Devi Singh only with name changed by cvs.
