I have not made a comment for a long time, but I do come regularly to read the update and other member's opinion

For a long time I have been dissatisfied about these drama programs and so I watch once in a while on the internet or I just read comments on IF.

The reason for my dissatification is why are these program so negative, why don't they make them positive – so everyone can learn something out of it.

I feel in every family – we all sit down together and watch these programs – be it younger children, be older generation – is it this way that we as a women being potrayed and is this the way newer generation going to learn. – – that once they are married – not to stay together with the rest of the family –– some already don't want to stay with joint family they asked for a condo or a house before they even get married. Some might already have a pre-conceived idea that living together with the joint family will create problems – is this true???? OR

In Monas case, The way she is being bullied/abuse constantly by her in-law. Are we showing the younger generation that it is normal to be abuse by in-laws and not disagree.

These dramas reaches millions of people and they show how in-laws almost always want to make the bahus life miserable, how the women are ever suffering idiots or superwomen, men are puppets with no minds. Instead of using the dramas to spread positivity, it only spreads the negatives.

Why do we expecially women tolerate these kind of dramas – have we come to the point that we just ignore and sit and watch – are we happy about these kinds dramas that they show so much negativity.

Yours thoughts on this.

In Aisitiva Simaran the doctor gets abused by a younger husband, the inlaws abuse her because she is older than her husband, although husband is a bum and comes from lower middle class family, while she is a doctor and runs her own clinic. The husband cheats on her, marries a younger woman after divorcing her at that point I stopped watching, Why she doesn't marry the decent doctor who loves her is beyond me.. Asistiva is also about woman suffering at the hands of man.
