Mediocre Monday episode! The two moments in today's episode that could have been a dhamaka moment turned out to be like Komal's TV'..Chapta (FLAT). Krishna calls it quits at the beginning and end of the episode today. He called it off at the tattooist, he couldn't remove PRATIGYA tattoo off his arm when she was still residing in his soul. To stop his mother's nagging mind games and prove a point he decides he attests his thumbprint to the talaak papers and storms off to brook in private. A bit of a let down in both scenes.
Krishna enters the house averting his gaze from Takurain who is salivating at the idea of seeing the tattoo gone tel lene. For a woman who doesn't hesitate to remind him she is his mother every 5 seconds, she should be an expert at reading his body language by now, know how her son behaves in different situations especially is she claims to have raised him since birth? Does she really need to remind herself she is his mother ever so often, is her memory failing? Though both actors gave a great performances of their own the scene didn't have the impact that it could have, it lack intensity. Even some dramatic background music could have highlighted the moment.
Krishna is a grown ma, albeit a man-child for most part, so what is with forcibly getting him to deal with her demands and do her bidding whenever she fancies? SDS plays the motherhood card in the same breath that she insensitively slings a zinger his way about his love for Prats and yet Krishna doesn't sense or see the manipulative games she is playing? If nothing else the big eyes she makes as she plays the witchy woman should alert him to her motives and selfish intentions. Time for Krishna to learn never to give away control of his life (power) over to another even if it's a mother or wife.
Why hasn't Krishna been proactive to get to the truth of the matter this time around instead of blinding believing his mother and falling for her accusations and manipulations against Prats and rejecting outright the woman he promised to stand by, without giving a chance to explain or defend the charges against her? How did Krishna end up losing his intuition post marriage? He gave up drinking recently bec' of Prats's words. If nothing else the haunting memories and his reluctance to act on his mother requests should remind him that somewhere in him he still believes Prats is incapable of doing the things his mother charges her with. Why is it that it's only SDS who gets to see Prats's "pranks" and no one else in the family? His thinking and reasoning has been on a vacation for a while now.
Krishna's soaking in the rain seems to do wonders for him. A grand shower seems to cool down his garama garam (overheated) brain and wash off all that negative energy spiraling inside him. Then comes a turning point in his life. After the kidnapping was revealed, he returned home drenched on the eve of his budday to hear Prats declare her love to him. He has let nature wash away the tension in him a few times.
For a girl who's marriage is on the rocks one would think Prats would, after a few days step in and do something to get it back on track rather than sit on her hands like she's waiting for a train to pull up at the station so she can embark. Krishna continues to live with the woman who can further poison his mind against her , so why delay in getting the truth to Krishna? Did she not once consider that Takurain would strike when the iron is hot and put the screws to Krishna, desperately force him to end his marriage? Was it a case of wait and see strategy on her part to let Takurain to put the noose around her neck all on her own and hang herself? Honesty and truthfulness are imperative in a marriage. Why the need to protect Krishna from a truth that is toxic and affecting his life? Sure he will hurt to know about his mother's vile and duplicitious behavior but he's got to face it some time or another, so the sooner the better so he they move on with his life. There is not much she can do about how someone feels about a situation or person in their life.
Komal is more upset that the halwa was tossed aside, would she rather it ended in her gutš? She is on the band wagon matching her mother's passionate hatred of Prats. She doesn't empathize with Krishna's plight nor does she question her mother's intense reaction to Krishna's return home with the tattoo intact. Komaliya! take a good look at your nutty mother. Doesn't it concern you to see her intense hatred for her own bahu and make you wonder how you'd survive as a bahu if you were on the receiving end of such vile treatment? Her behavior doesn't seem to affect you on a human level. Can you ever come up with any other suggestion besides a remarriage? What is your fixation with wanting him to dump Prats and remarry? Did he ask to get remarried? Is that your only solution to any marital problem?
Komal needs to get a life. Is she so detached from Krishna's distress in his room or was she trying to distract him talking about "Just Dance" on the show today? She just came across as insensitive. Granted she was plugging an ad for a show on the network. But more often than not she seems incapable of relating, empathizing or even sympathizing with another person's plight. She forgets the woman she wants her brother to dump for another is her husband's sister. How would she like it if he changes his mind and packs her back to the Niwas for good with the label "return to sender ' wrong order"?
With Adarsh gone for three years is Komal going to erase him from her memory and remarry so she can have babies? How would she react to a message he's taken a new wife in Dubai and she, Komal is of no use to him anymore? She seems rather matter of fact about Adarsh's absence. Is that maturity or just indifference with $ signs in her eyes at the end of three years? Will she be so indifferent and ready to make the same recommendations if her marriage was on the line?
Komal's role is repetitive, and recycled these days. She at least ruffled feathers and quarreled with Arusi to pass the time at GH. Here at her maike she's just shooting the breeze. One would think she'd do something useful with her time. She once bragged to Saxes about Kesar's many talents, so why not learn a few skills from her while she waits for Adarsh to return in 3 years? Like her mother, her idle mind is going to become a devil's workshop creating trouble for Kesar and Prats, if Krishna brings her back to the Niwas right away. There will be two versions of Takurain living under that roof at once and one too many at the same time to tackle.
Not once did SDS consider what she was doing to Krishna with her demands to be rid of Prats in every conceivable way she could conjur upš¤š²šš¼. How convenient that SS is away so he doesn't have to deal with his son's plight. Out of sight, out of mind as far as the Takur is concerned at the moment. The blame can fall fully on Takurain for all her gatiya acts. What was that with her mean stare of victory after she gets Krishna to put his thumb print on the document? We dare her to smirk and smile when Krishna shuns her after hearing the truthš¤ of the extremes she went to, to ruin his life.
SS is off to the village and gets treated like a king by a farmer who's down on his luck. As always the Takur throws his weight around every chance he gets. His wife is trying to dot the "i"s and cross the "t"s on Krishna's marriage while he makes other plans to straightened someone's warped mind back home..
Is there a role left for Naina on the show at all? She is simply redundant on the show these days. She could easily have gone on the yatra with her sasuma. What was that with her rude response to the dhobi lady today? So the neighbors are gossiping but there are seeds of truth in their tales so why shoot the messenger when she is a visitor? These days her dialogues echo Arusi's lines as well. Why force her in a scene just for the sake of adding another face in the frame?š²
KN is playing messenger, he's only happy to rub it in when he takes the talaak papers over to GH with a lawyer in tow to step in just in case Prats questions Mr. Grumpy about things he doesn't understand. While at GH will KN's wandering eyes going to be searching for Arusi, the bride that got away, or has the rake reformed a tad with a baby coming soon?
MMM's with this thought took off like a horse out of the gate at a race track ''. With this track just unfolding we could see the varying possibilitiesš
We hear SS is bringing a young teenage chick home from his village in lieu of payments long overdue. His plan might be to set the warped mind of his nirbuddhi mehraroo right so she stops meddling in her son's marriages, stop playing troublemaker and disturbing the peace in the Niwas. Will Krishna decide to walk out of the house before SS returns home from the village to hear about the fallout? With GD and Kesar's lips zippidi dooda (sealed) and Krishna out of the Niwas, SS may not spare the rod on Takurain this time.
Another reason why Prats may not return to Niwas right away could be so Ganga/SS/SDS triangle has to build up so she has a PBJ moment š„³on her return. Recently we heard GD tell Kesar that Takurain always wants to win at all costs and be in control and will go to any lengths to accomplish that. What if that hints at ... after SS introduces his Gifted Lady Ganga as his new woman he banishes Takurain to a corner, will SDS fight back threatening to tell Krishna/Prats about RED plans masterminded by SS to kill Prats? She has dared to do all this right under SS's nose recently, feeling threatened and wanting to control anyone she perceives may overthrow her reign as Queen of Mean? She is mentally unstable and likely to flip if her need to control escalates to historic levels. Will we see another moment like the whacked out woman at the "grinding stone" the night after Kesar left the Niwas? Now imagine Ashmita's role in a loony bin! She will be so convincing that viewers will face sleepless nights after watching her performances.
Krishna and Prats need to have to take stock of the holes in their relationship before Prats returns to the Niwas. He is now unemployed once again. With the same wounded witchy woman living under the same roof after the truth is revealed, she is likely to make mischief again. This time she has an apprentice in Komal to give her a lending hand and even do some of her dirty work for her.š¤Ŗš¤
