Chapter4

Months passed. The whole cast got along very well with Arhaan being the silent prankster. Arhaan, Pooja and Sonali got like a house on fire. Pooja and Arhaan were now the best of friends. Both knew that they had each other when they are in trouble. They were very comfortable in each other's company. Silly fights naughty jokes and many things to share.

It was one day that he played a prank on her. He wantedly shouted at Pooja to know her reaction without telling her the reason. The whole unit was with him.

Arhaan: Rano ye sab tumhari wajah se hua hai. (he calls her Rano because Pooja had told him once that, "Arhaan tum mujhe Rano keh kar bhulao because people close to me call like that)

Pooja: maine kya kiya?

Arhaan: Don't act Rano. I know that you are behind this.

Pooja: Tum kya bol rahe ho mujhe kuch samaj mein nahi aa raha hai.

Arhaan (silently giggles at her confused and tensed face): Aise bol kar tum mere gusse ko aur bhi bada rahi ho Rano. Kya tum sach mein kuch nahi jaanti?? Mujhe tum se ye umeed nahi thi.

All others are laughing from behind. Arhaan with great difficulty controlled his laughter.

Pooja (is angry now): Arhaan bas bahut chuke hai aise yun sabke saamne chilla kyun rahe ho.

Arhaan (shouting at the top his voice): Tum ne jo kiya hai uske liye kya main tumhe bitaake tumhari aarti karoon??

Pooja starts crying and all burst out in laughter. Arhaan seeing her crying stopped playing and went near her put his hands around her and consoled her.

Arhaan: Arre Rano main to mazaak kar raha tha ye dekhne ke liye ki tum kaise react karti ho.

Pooja (taking his hands out): Ye bhi koi mazak hai. Saara unit tumhare saath mila hua hai (bahut zor se rone lagthi hai)

Arhaan: Achcha please rona bandh karo. I am sorry. Main kaan pakadtha hoon. (He couldn't see her crying and started cursing himself). Mujhe laga tum jaan jaaogi ki yeh mazak hai. tum itne dino se mujhe jaanti ho phir bhi….

Pooja: Tum to aise acting kar rahe the ki shayad kisi scene pe bhi tumne itna achcha acting nahi kiya hoga.

Arhaan: Kya matlab mera acting kharaab hai

Pooja: Tumhari best friend ho kar tumhara dil kaise dukha sakthi hoon sach bol ke.

Arhaan: Bas bhi karo sab jaante hai ki main kaisa acting karta hoon.

Pooja: Wahi to sab jaante hai par koi bataa tha nahi.

Arhaan pulls her by her hands towards him and asks her again, she loosens his grip and says, "Mujhe darr thodi na lagtha hai ye kehne mein" and runs away. He starts chasing her and the rest are watching. They have now reached the behind of the vanity van where no one can see them. He catches her by her stomach, an inch gap between them. Pooja felt uncomfortable and Arhaan quickly took his hand. Both felt a little embarrassed.

(Arhaan knew about Vishal Davey. He felt bad whenever Pooja is with Vishal or talks to him. He could not see her with anyone and didn't know why)

That day Pooja came home and sees Vishal there. Her family had been very difficulty putting up with him. Pooja with no heart listens to all his bak bak

She is lost in Arhaan's thoughts, how she spent the day with him and felt him around and near her even now. She was smiling to herself. Vishal tells Pooja and finally leaves her home and her family happily sends him off.

Akshat: Di tumhe ye kahan se mila?? Pata hai pichle ek ghante se torture ka raha hai. Achcha hua chala gaya

Mr.Chopra (laughs): Sach mein pata nahi meri beti iske saath kaise rahegi shaadi ke baad

Mrs Chopra: Isne khud chuna hai to isi ko sahna padega. (she notices that Pooja has not been listening) she calls her Rano…

Pooja: ji mummy

Mrs. Chopra: Kya soch rahi ho?

Pooja: Kuch bhi to nahi. Main jaake fresh ho kar aati hoon.

The next morning back on the sets and it was another day of tiresome job. It was pack up and as usual the three musketeers were on their way home. Arhaan gets a call from his home

Mr.Punj: Ladoo kaisa hai tu. Bhai yaad to hai hum tumhare papa bol rahe hai. Na koi phone aur naa hi koi khabar.

Arhaan: papa aap bhi kaisi baatein karte ahi. Wo thoda kaam mein busy tha to isi liye. Waise aap bataaiye kaise hai aap, mama kaisi hai?

Mr.Punj: hum sab teek hai. Le mama se baat kar.

Mrs.Punj: ladoo main tujh se bahut naaraaz hoon. Bhul gaya tu apni mama ko

Arhaan: mama nahi aap please royie mat. Bahut saara kaam tha.

Mrs.Punj: wahi to chinta hai mujhe. Apna khayal teek se to rakh raha hai na?

Arhaan: haan mama aap chinta mat kijiye. Maine aap se kaha tha na ki mujhe roz Rano ke ghar se khaana aataa hai.

Mrs.Punj: Rano? Kaun?

Arhaan (oops): Pooja.

Mrs.Punj: achcha. Phir to teek hai. Waise maine tujhe ye bataa ne ke liye phone kiya ki teri Naina di godhbharai hai agle hafte. Ek aur baat main teri koi bhi excuse nahi sun ne waali hoon. Tu aa raha hai

Arhaan: par mama… bahut mushkil hai. lekin main poori tarah koshish karoonga.

It's Naina now who is having the phone. She has snatched it from her mom.

Naina: main kuch nahi jaanti bas aa raha hai. Waise Pooja hai tere saath phone de na usse…

Arhaan: haan Rano mere saath hai. Rukhye deta hoon.

Pooja: hello, arre Naina di boliye. Kaisi hai aap aur baki sab? (she starts speaking as though she knows her for a long time)

Naina: (likes her very much for her this character) arre tum to aise baat karti ho mujhse jaise tum mujhe bahut achchi tarah se jaanti ho?

Pooja: kuch aisa hi samajh lijiye. Arhaan ne aap sab ke baare khoob bataaya hai. mujhe to lagtaa hi nahi ki main aap se pehli baar baat kar rahi hoon.

The whole family talks with her except Simran who had gone out that time. Pooja had to now get down so she gives the phone to Arhaan and leaves. Arhaan has reached his room and his Simi di calls him,

Simi: Rano kaisi hai bhai? (in a naughty tone)

Arhaan: di aap bhi na… Naina di ne sab bataa diya hoga. Ek baat bataayie aap logon ko aur koi kaam nahi hai kya hamesha chida thi rah thi hai mujhe.

Simi: baat mat ghumaa. Chakkar kya hai? Usse pet name se pukhaar tha hai

Arhaan: sab usse Rano bhulaate hai aur isiliye.. pata nahi kya soch thi rahthi hai. ab phone rakhtha hoon mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai.

Simi: arre re… sun to. Kaat diya. Dekh loongi tujhe.

The next day at the sets,

Pooja: tum jaa rahe ho Naina di ke godhbharai pe?

Arhaan: jaana to main bhi chahtha hoon par….

Pooja: par war kuch nahi tum jaa rahe ho. Bas baat khatam.

Arhaan: ji janaab. (Both laugh)

Arhaan s leaving tonight and will be reaching there early morning, attend the function and start the same day. He is busy packing his things and Pooja calls him,

Pooja: tumhaari packing ho chuki hai? Kab nikhal rahe ho?

Arhaan: packing ho chuki hai. Bas nikhal hi raha hoon.

Pooja: Happy Journey. Paunchthe hi phone karna.

Arhaan: Sure. Take care. Bye

Pooja and Arhaan both missed each other badly. It was just for a day but still. Pooja had not even missed Vishal whenever he was out of town.

Chapter 5

Arhaan was at his hometown. He is meeting his family after one year. He was happy but still he missed someone. He had very great welcome at home. Everyone was seen greeting him for his act and praising the show. He smiled very reluctantly as though he has been standing on a gun point. His mom notices it. She asks but he doesn't tell her anything and he shows himself to be happy. His sisters were so happy to see him after a long time. Both his sisters sensed something is wrong with him. He left his mobile in his room and was attending the function. Pooja called him many times but he never picked up. She was worried.

Simi: bataa kya baat tujhe pareshaan kar rahi hai?

Arhaan: aisi koi baat nahi hai.

Simi: chehra dekh apna kitna udaas hai. ab mujhse chupaayega tu?

Arhaan: travel kiya tha na isiliye tak gaya hoon. Waise sach kahoon to mujhe bhi nahi pata ki main udaas kyun hoon…. Aisa lag raha hai jaise ki main kuch bahut ki khaas cheez chodke aaya hoon..

Simi (smiles): Pooja ko miss kar raha hai na?

Arhaan: haan….

Simi: pyaar karta hai tu usse?

Arhaan: pata nahi di. (and he leaves)

Simi: Ladoo tujhe usse pyaar ho gaya hai bas tujhe ehsaas nahi hai. (she tells herself)

The function got over and it was time for Arhaan to leave. Just then he saw 10 missed calls from Pooja. Then only he remembers that she had asked him to call on reaching home. Before he could call, his mom and dad come in,

Mr.Punj: beta do din aur rukh jaate. Itni jaldi bhi kya hai

Mrs.Punj: haan abhi to teek se baat bhi nahi kar paaye tumse.

Naina: Ladoo tu mera apna bhai hai re. mehmaan ki tarah ek hi din mein jaa raha hai

Simi: mehmaanon ki tarah aaya mehmaanon ki tarah jaa raha hai.

He had a great time convincing them. Finally, reached the airport. He was sad that he will be missing them all but he is more happy that he will be back in Mumbai tomorrow. He tells himself, "ye mujhe kya hota jaa raha hai. kyun main Rano ko dekhe bina nahi rah saktha". Here, Pooja is upset because Arhaan did not reply her nor did he pick her call.

He is back on sets but a little late. Pooja is already ready for her shot and Sonali comes there to inform her that Arhaan has come. Pooja is happy, runs to see him and Arhaan to comes to meet her. Pooja suddenly stops and turns away.

Arhaan: maaf kar do Rano. Wo main apna phone apne kamre mein hi bhool gaya tha to isi liye….

Pooja: ek baar phone nahi kar sakthe the. Pata hai mujhe kitni fikar ho rahi thi tumhaari.

Arhaan (taking her hand in his): Sorry. Please. Wo ghar waalon se itne din baad mila to bhool gaya.

Pooja smiles and hugs him. Sonali comes there (I know you guys would be thinking kabab mein haddi). Both loosen their hug.

Sonali:hello, tum dono aise gale lagaa ke khade ho jaise do pyaar karne waale barson baad mil rahe hai. sach sach bataao tum dono ke beech dosti hi hai ya…

Arhaan: chup raho tum. Hamesha ulta seeda soch thi rahthi ho. Ab jaao mujhe tyaar hona hai.

Pooja too realizes that it was just one day that Arhaan was out and she could not be without seeing him. She could not understand what was happening to her. She always wanted Arhaan to be right in front of her eyes.

That day at home, many questions were arising in her mind. Her thoughts were disturbed by Vishal's. He calls her but she does not pick it. Vishal continuously called her but there was no response from her.

Vishal: ye Pooja lag tha hai meri haat se nikhal jaayegi. (Pooja had many times helped him by recommending his name to producers she knew or for the ads which she had been offered. Sometimes has given him financial assistance too)

Arhaan calls Pooja to tell her that he has booked a new house and will be getting it by next month.

Pooja: Arhaan bol na kaise phone kiya

Arhaan: tu jaanti hai na ki main bahut dino se ghar doondh raha tha .

Pooja: Haan to?

Arhaan: Wo maine ek flat book ki hai. Uski delivery agle mahine mil jayegi.

Pooja: wow. Congrats. Kab dikha rahe ho apna ghar mujhe?

Arhaan: bahut jald hi jab poori tarah se ready hoga.

Pooja: kal shooting nahi hai to tumhara program kya hai? Ghar aa jaao lunch pe. Waise mummy, papa tumse milna chahthe hai.

Arhaan: I am sorry yaar. Kisi aur din aa jaaoonga. Mujhe ek bahut hi zaroori kaam hai (Pooja's b'day is coming. So he is going to get her a gift). They keep talking for hours and Mrs. Chopra comes in calls her for dinner. Just then, they realize the time.

Arhaan cuts the call tells to himself , " pata nahi kya ho jaata hai mujhe jab bhi tumse baat karta hoon waqt ka hosh hi nahi reh tha.(he closes his eyes and sees Pooja's picture) I love You Rano". Suddenly he opens his eyes and realizes what he just said. He said to himself "kya main Rano se pyaar karta hoon? Aisa nahi ho saktha, Rano pehle hi kisi aur se pyaar karti hai. Ye maine kya kiya." He cries the whole night. Neither he could forget her nor could he see her with someone. He decides to keep distance from her and also doesn't want her to know since he was afraid that she would break his friendship. He said, "I cannot forego your friendship for my love. It's enough I keep seeing you for the rest of my life. Agar tum meri ho to tum zaroor mujhe milogi."

Just now read all the parts. lovely. there r lot of similarities in the ff and real life. please continue to do it.

Chapter 6

Today is Pooja's 20^th birthday and a party is organized in the evening. The first person to wish her is Arhaan. Pooja expects a call from Vishal but he did not turn up as he has totally forgotten. Pooja still calls him reminds him that there is a party in the evening. Pooja's dad has gone to office and Pooja is out for some Photo Shoot. The party is at 6.00 PM and Pooja turns home at 2.00 PM. Arhaan has already come.

Pooja (having her lunch): tum itni jaldi aa gaye?

Arhaan: maine socho jaldi aaoonga to tumhaare ghar waalon se miloonga aur unke saath thoda waqt bhi spend karoonga.

Mrs.Chopra: bilkul teek socha beta tumne. Pata hai kab se main isse keh rahi thi ki tumhe ghar le aaye…. Par ye to……

Arhaan: chodiya na aunty isse. Waise aap bahut achcha khaana banaa thi hai. itna achcha khaana khaa ke dekhiye maine kitna motaa ho gaya hoon.

Pooja: haan mummy. Pata hai starting mein to ye ek dam patlaa tha iske to abs dikh rahe the aura ab lagta hai 80 kilos ka ho gaya hoga.

Arhaan: hello zyaada bolne ki zaroorat nahi hai. tum bhi to moti ho gayi ho. Pata hai aunty iske puraane kapden fit nahi hoti hai aaj kal. Har roz iski kapdein alter karne padthe hai.

Pooja: apni tummy dekhi hai tumne???

The fight keeps going and Mrs. Chopra watches it… then both stop fighting and come to an agreement that both hav become fat and both will regularly hit to the gym.

Pooja: achcha main bahut tak chuki hoon. Thodi derr so jaati hoon.

Mrs. Chopra: haan beta.

Mrs. Chopra and Arhaan are busy decorating. Akshat in the meantime comes in getting the cake. Its tea time and

Mrs. Chopra: tum dono baith ke baatein karo main chai leke aati hoon.

Arhaan and Akshat are talking all the boy things from girls to gadgets. Mrs. Chopra comes in with the tea. Akshat gets a call and he leaves the place.

Mrs.Chopra (seen sad now): tum humaare parivaar se bahut mil jul gaye ho.

Arhaan: aunty aap udaas kyun hai?

Mrs.Chopra: ab tumse kya chupaana. Rano bahut bholi baali hai. sab ko uski tarah achcha aur saaf dil waale samajh thi hai.

Arhaan: yahi hai uski achchaayi hai.

Mrs.Chopra: har waqt kisi par aankhein bandh karke vishvaas karna teek nahi hai. Vishal isse pyaar nahi kartha. Wo iske paise aur popularity ke peeche hai. par ye baat Rano nahi samajh thi.

Arhaan (shocked): aap kya keh rahi hai?

Mrs.Chopra: haan. Wo shaadi nahi karna chahtha hai isse. aaj tak usne apni mummy papa se bhi hume nahi milaayaa hai. pyaar karne waale ek doosre ko adjust karte hai, samajh the hai. par yahan to hameshaa meri Rano ko hi adjust karna padtha hai. baat baat pe daant tha hai, usse khoob rulaatha hai.

Arhaan (with tears in his eyes): aap usse ye sab kyun nahi bataa thi hai?

Mrs.Chopra: nahi beta usse khud ehsaas hona chahiye. usse khud pyaar ka matlab samajh na hai. haan par jab se tum uski zindagi mein dost ban ke aaye ho wo bahut khush hai.

Arhaan: main nahi jaanta ki Vishal itna buraa insaan hai. aap fikar mat kikjiye bahut jald Rano ko sab pata chal jaayega.

Mrs.chopra: ek minute tum usse Rano bhulaate ho?

Arhaan: haan

Mrs.Chopra: Pooja sirf un logon usse Rano bhulaane ki ijaazat deti hai jo uske bahut khareeb hai. waise dekha jaaye to aaj tak main, uske papa, Aki aur uske daadi usse Rano bhulaate hai.

Arhaan smiles listening this. He has got a new ray of hope. But he wants Pooja to realize it herself. So as decided before he maintains a distance with her.

Its evening guests have started arriving. Arhaan, dressed up in a black shirt with a coat over and a pair of jeans. Pooja's dad comes late so he could not spend time with Arhaan. Sonali has also come. Both Arhaan and Sonali are having a good time. All the guests have come and Vishal is late. Birthday girl comes out. Everyone is taken aback by her. She is wearing a noodle strap gown, dark blue contrasting her complexion. Arhaan has a wide opened mouth and gazing at her. Pooja compliments him telling that he looks handsome. Arhaan (smiles) and tells, "tum bhi bahut khoobsoorat ho."

The cake is cut and she gives the first piece of it to her dad, then Arhaan (Vishal is yet to come). Arhaan gives her the present. Seeing it, she jumps with joy and quickly hugs him. Vishal who has just arrived looks on. He greets her and gives his present. Pooja is not even bothered to ask him why he is late as she knows he would have for sure forgotten.

Arhaan has presented a watch which Pooja had been longing to buy for many days. She wears it immediately.

Pooja: Tumhe kaise pata ki… he stops her and says, 'tumhara dost hoon tumhare baare mein sab jaanta hoon' (she smiles and thanks him again). Vishal gives his present and keeps on bluffing something. Arhaan now leaves them alone and moves away. Sonali joins him (she notices that Arhaan has suddenly become dull). Pooja sees Arhaan and Sonali busily chatting she too wants to join them but….. Vishal then leaves and Pooja is now relieved. She came out to send off Arhaan and Sonali. Arhaan could not take his eyes off from her.

"He comes near her takes her hand and kisses it. He pulls her towards him by her waist. Both dance passionately on the moon lit night. He brings his lips close to hers she starts blushing and turns away. He hugs her from behind, caresses her hands with one hand holding her stomach. He moves her hair so that her neck is more exposed. He kisses her neck and slowly turns her to face him. He brings his lips close to hers"

only to be disturbed by Sonali. Only then he realized he has been dreaming. She asks him, " Kahan kho gaye?"

Arhaan: Kuch bhi to nahi. Chale?

Sonali, (nods her head), hugs Pooja and leaves. Arhaan leaves without even telling her. Pooja is surprised with his strange behaviour.
