What happened to Krishna Singh and Komal, the true "sachchayi ka muraths of the Takur family?" Takes just one guess ............ MARRIAGE. It appears that in their zest to win the love of their educated "bitter" halves they ended up morphing their personalities to fit in with their spouses😕.
We are first introduced to Krishna as the straight shooter, self-confident, no holds barred Takur ladla who hates lies and very allergic to them. His life is an open book and he loves himself enough to anoint himself the IDLE KING😎 of the Niwas. He is proud he is an unpud, a misfit among educated people but also brags about being the son of none other than Allahabad's infamous Takur Sajjan Singh whose very name sends shivers down the spines of the locals.
In the early days of their marriages ...... flashback.....when Krishna returns home in the middle of the night with a stabwound from Angadwa and Prats rushes in concern to help him he retorts with passion "aaay, e joot moot humko pasand nahi". He uses this term a few times as he continues to pursue Prats with a passion. When Prats hides the truth about her kidnapping by choice (translation: a joot) with her Papa's blessings, literally turns his world upside down and the honest loving man completely falls apart and shuts down. He wanders the streets a lost soul struggling to deal with the gut wrenching feeling of betrayal. He saves Prats's life and ends up taking a peek on the other side of life before he returns home.
Krishna, however, has lied on two occasions and both times it was for the sake of Sajjan Singh😕. He lied about Prats being pregnant bec' SS got carried away about the possibility of a potha from the young couple and he couldn't bring himself to break his father's heart and chose to let him live in his world of make believe. An impulsive and poorly thought out decision that blew up in their faces leading him to slap Prats at the havan and Shamu taking his daughter back home. It had consequences and the good that came off it was was Kriya finally bonding as a couple for the first time at the Adda, where Krishna gave his famous, lallantop SAAT baashan.⭐️ .,,,,,,. after Prats had a short stay at Saxes in the interim.
This time around, Krishna lies again about his job unwilling to give up his rights to live life as the young, idle king if not the ideal king of the Niwas, a destiny he claims as his birthright😆. This time his agenda includes getting his family off his back and getting KN back to work to help his father out. He blames Prats's demand and condition of kanooni job as the reason he refuses to help his bauji's baloo business. He tries in vain to express that he is incapable and ill-equipped to find himself a job that meets Prats's standards. His pleas never seem to register with Prats that there is a genuine reason🤔 '.. his lack of skills to get a decent job. She sees her faith in his potential as being good enough for him to land a job that meets with her approval. His educated biwi hasn't realized that his lack of education and experience (of doing anything in life) besides just idling his time away with his two other idling friends. She "nags" him day after day to find a job and earn his keep. Forced into a corner and unwilling to give up his stance, the usually truthful Takur decides to lie through his teeth after taking the ill-advise of his two friends who excel at getting him into hot water with their brand of advice every time. Yet the young Takur doesn't realize his friends are not cut out to be his advisors.
This week he has had a couple of occasions to fess up about his non-existent job. KN called the situation like it is and Krishna zips his lips for fear of outing himself. He returns to his room and again the red carrom queen almost exposes him but rather than come clean with the truth he gives Prats a cock-a-mamie story digging himself into a deeper hole with each lie. Sooner or later this is all set to blow up in his face and he is going to twist it and pin it all on Prats. Will this end up a case of Truth or Dare with Prats succeeding in Krishna's dare to earn a living from the Niwas and forcing Krishna to spill the truth?
The way Krishna has been avoiding his Babu every time she poses a question that demands the truth he gives her the verbal runaround with meaningless chatter that only raises Prats's doubts🤔 about what her husband is up to all day outside the Niwas. Krishna can run but he can't hide from the truth forever and he is seeing the walls closing in on him. No wonder he wants to pull the blanket over his head and pretend to sleep🥱. The mancub has no answers. Today when Prats asked him questions, he gave her the slip both times giving root to doubts in her mind🤔 while he is sweating bullets in the bathroom😛 (the same room he accused Prats of running away to when she is not ready to face a situation😆)
Krishna is struggling to keep his joot under wraps but where is the street smart Takur who was a few steps ahead of every member of his family before his marriage in almost any situation? After marriage, in his effort to win her love and keep the peace in the marriage he has willingly changed his ways for the sake of Prats's happiness and in the process has become a man he probably doesn't recognize to some extent'..confused and in conflict with his own expectations for himself and those of Prats and the rest of his family for him on the other side.
Komal who was raised a tomboy and indulged as the only daughter of Takur Sajjan Singh suddenly finds herself the wife of a bank officer (recently promoted to manager) and in a family that prides itself for it's poverty thinking. Her every whim and wish have come up a cropper. So when Adarsh decides to take a turn to the Takur way of life, Komal is happy. She has indirectly influenced Adarsh's belief system and he is now ready to reach under his desk and collect the illicit rupee bills to line his pockets.
Komal is used to her family's illegal ways and sees no harm as long as her wishes are fulfilled. Adarsh has given her a belated New Year's gift ....a bundle of Rupee notes that thrills her so much that she can't stop playing with the notes. Not versed in counting money she struggles to get a fair count on how much money is at her disposal. Here is a young Takur bred girl who like Krishna was blunt and brash with the truth and nothing but the truth is now suddenly lying openly with her literal interpretation of Adarsh's statement (this is your money) and she uses it to her advantage with the family. Adarsh who is a novice in the world of black money and shady deals is going to return home with soot on his face one of these days and face his family's questions for failing to live up to his name and selling out on his values and ideals. As SS's damadh he may get away with it while his family conveniently pins his behavior as Komal's fault due to her poor influence on their Adarshwali (idealistic) son. Just another chance for Shamu to question his parenting skills over the years! Let's hope it's just a blip on the screen if it makes it to the episode. 😲
SS orders Takurain to fork over a Rs.500/= to Rakeshwa so he could hotfoot it out of town and deliver the good news to Kesar's family about her pregnancy. But Kesar is not buying into SS's grand gesture one bit. The days of making excuses for RED are long gone and she now seems a girl with guts to boot. 👏 Takurain behaves with money much like Komal does, very thrilled to receive a bundle but very reluctant to fork over just a few bills. Like mother, like daughter. 🤔
