I guess at some levels they are depicting reality. I'm sure there are women who are like Kesar, who undergo all sorts of cruelty by their in-laws and yet remain quiet. The poor lady surely has got a bad luck, as all the different sorts of attyachar HAVE to happen to her.
But the reason we watch the show is not to continually see different depictions of "HOW TO TORTURE YOUR BAHU"..... we want to see how the tortured bahu rose against the system and fought for her rights, in effect what Pratigya is doing.
What should have happened was that with Prats to support her, Kesar would to rise against all the cruelty. Yet, even after months of Pratigya entering Thakur Niwas, no benefit has come to Kesar, she's still the tortured soul with no courage to speak up. It's not for lack of Prats trying.... she has tried, but Kesar is shown to be such a weak woman that even Prats can't do anything.
I think CVs may just follow your advice soon.... they probably will "completely erase the existence of the already dead Kesar".
