Since you have lost your mind and have decided to disregard the opinion of the majority of your viewers who have disapproved Bigamy, why not just completely erase the existance of the already dead Kesar. Why did you create the character of Kesar ? Very simple. You wanted to show the pathetic life of a battered woman. A woman who has silently suffered the inhumane atrocities of her in-laws and husband. You have killed her repeatedly in the name of domestic violence, forcefully aborting her child, treating her like a servant and a doormat and now wiping off her place in her in-laws as the eldest daughter-in-law. Why ? Because she cannot bear a child. Was it her fault ? Absolutely not. So why is she been punished ? Are you trying to say that in this male chauvinistic world a timid and subdued woman always has to pay the price. India is changing and so is indian women.Women everywhere is learning to say NO to torture and injustice. Women cannot be taken for granted anymore.
People around the globe watches your serial 'Pratigya' for various reasons, some watch it because of their favourite stars, some watch it because of mere entertainment, some watch it out of curiosity and so on,and very importantly some watch it for social issues. Have you any idea that there might be women who watch this show just to see Kesar speaking up for once and standing up for her rights. A helpless woman with the help of the protagonist stands up and faces the world for the first time in her life.Why can't you show this ? You will be doing a huge favor to all the woman out there who have knowingly or unknowingly cried with Kesar when she was beaten like an animal or when she lost her child or even when she lost the capacity to bear children. But no, why would you do that ? Who would want a battered woman to see the light in the end of the tunnel ? You would rather give a selfish brat like Arushi the power to destroy Kesar's life once again. You would give the monster Shakti the power to manhandle and abuse Kesar's life again and again.
Then why this charade of hypocrisy by saying (I believe that fiction means depicting reality' - Pearl Grey)
that your serial is different and unique showing women empowerment, women strenght and etc.On the contrary you are degrading women and their power. You are showing immoral and illegal situations ( Bigamy is illegal in India. This is the reality) which should not be happening in the 21st century.
