Sorry to butt in, but in real life it is much harder to leave an abusive relationship . If you have supportive parents, you can go to them. If not, then rely on the state, NGO or may be friends.

I tell you real life incident about my mum's cousin. She had an arranged marriage who turned out abusive. She left him and had a love marriage to a white american guy who too was physically abusive as well. In the end she left him too. Two different ppl of different cultures and background behaved in the same way.
