Thanks for the PM Priti😊 It was a very nice chp.I hope that the pati is Krishna and I do have a feeling that the salesman is some important person.Anyway,looking forward to the next chp and update soon😊

Bang bang went Mrs Ghosh's door. When the door opened milly (mrs chadda) walked in bursting with excitement.

C: u know molly(Mrs Ghosh)….new gossip

G(excited): wat???

C: that pratigya….u know flat 1209 wali…shes having a affair

G: really

C: ya I just saw a handsome dude walk out of her house right now

G: milly….she and affair….who wud want her anyway

C(disappointed): ya but that guy??

G: any1 but her cud hv a affir…..milly look at her face….looking at her gives me d creeps….wonder y that guy married her

C: love marriage perhaps???....they never told hw they married

G: love??? Ha….no I tink some family arrangement…..u know that child marriage or childhood promise ki story….or who wud agree to marry that ugly or even fall in love

C: u r right….so luks like there is no new gossip

G: no wait…I heared a new one…that champa know shes having a bf…………

And their gossip continued all afternoon.

Pratigya walked to and fro waiting impatiently for her husband. It wasn't that she was worried for his wellbeing but the fact that she wud hv to wait for him to come eat and then only she cud sleep. Oh hw sleepy she felt. She hadn't got a wink after that pesky salesman dropped by. Damn Him. Well her patience was rewarded and the door bell rang. She opened the door to fing her husband smiling (normally he never smiles or luks happy). She thought mayb he remembered their anniversary.

H: look wat I found outside the building…I brought it home

P(thinks): GIFT!!!!

In walks that pesky saleman from the afternoon. Pratigya scowls.

P: him!!

Man: yeah me

H: u know each other

M: no..i came this afternoon to see u but looks like she thought me to b some1 else and banged the door on my face

H: pratigya!!!!

P: i.i.i.i.

M: forget it….

H; yeah but…..

Leaning forward, the man offered his hand "hi"

P: Namaste

M: oh…namate

H: come in…u must be hungry

M: dying of hunger man….wat for food??

P: bhindi

H: come…

M: hello….wont u introduce us….she seems all lost

H: right….this is pratigya my wife….and this is a very old frnd of mine Krishna Singh

P: hmm

K(Krishna)(surprised): wife???....she ??...i though…..forget it

H: come come

Pratigya watched them go. She hd understood quite well what Krishna had meant. He never expected her to be his frnds wife, her a ugly creature. She swallowed her tears and went to serve dinner. Krishna then bunked there for the night as he was new in town and pratz husband insisted him to stay, much to pratigya's dismay. The following morning was Sunday and all except pratigya slept till late. She hd to wake up in the morning to collect the milk from the milkman after which she cudnt catch up on her sleep. Knowing her husband wud wake up late she made tea for herself and headed to the sofa to watch little tv. What she hd forgotten was that Krishna was sleeping on the sofa. She went and sat right on him. He screamed in pain, and the teacup fell to the floor along with pratigya. Krishna sat up rubbing his eyes while pratigya hurriedly stood up trying to clean the tea stains on her nightdress.

K: tum??

P: ya who else??? Its my house

K: right….but this is my body not yr private sofa

P: I forgot u were sleeping here….sorry

K: its ok

Pratigya suddenly realized she was in her nightdress, not appropriately dressed in front of a strange man. "oh my god…wat hv I done". But Krishna didn't seem to notice he was folding the blanket. Pratigya tried to sneak away but he stopped her

K; I didn't seem to catch yr name

P: p.p.pratigya

K: ya pratigya….gud morning

P(smile)

K: so do u mind me asking….wat..i mean…yr…its…i..

P; u mean my face don't u??

K: yes…but if u don't want to

P; its ok…u can ask……a bottle of acid dropped on my face

K: oh….i'm sorry

P: don't b

Pratigya turned to walk away wen her eyes met a angy husband who hd been awaken by the scream and was angy at seeing pratigya in the nightdress in front of the guest. The motioned pratigya to follow him in. pratigya knew wat was going to happen now

Nitin(husband….happy ppl to know his identity) locked the door and turned to glare at pratigya who was looking ashamedly at the floor.

N: wat were u doing out there in this state

P: I forgot he was there

N: u forgot….hw??....dont u hv any modesty

P: i

N: u stood there talking to him in this short nightdress….where r yr sanskaars??

P: I'm sorry nitin…I didn't do it purposely

N: wat wud he tink abt u….hw cud u???...i'm ashamed of u pratigya

Pratigya looked down again, hot tears pouring down her face. Nitin picked up his towel and headed to the bath. Pratigya stood sobbing until Krishna came knocking at the door. The red face caught his attention and stopped him mid-sentence.

K: where do I put the beddings? It ….were u crying??

P: no

K: then y does yr face seem so

P: nothing

She pushed pass him and ran into the kitchen. Krishna followed her with a confused look.

K: anything I can help…

P: no (sob sob)….just go

K: fine……….by d way nice nightie (smirk)

He turned and walked away. Pratigya looked down shocked and realized she was still in her nightie.

N: …..so I left that job and joined this one. Its more peaceful

K: ya but I heard d remunerations aren't good.

N: nothing like that….its ok

K: well….i toh left college and roamed aimlessly at first….u know rich dad and stuff

N: girl hunting as usual ….u never change….college romeo always

K: yup that's me

N: so wats up with that parvati …any contact

K: 3 kids and 2 divorces

N: u must b joking….she was the item of our college. Perfect figure

K: yeah now her figure is a antic piece…all round and fat

N: hw abt that girl….i dated

K: surli….she went off to b a model…got caught in sum drug case recently

N: oh

Pratigya entered with another bowl, they both changed the topic.

N: hw long r u in town??

K: depends hw long it takes to compleate that project

N: u mind if I ask u a favour

K: sure….wat

N; u mind taking pratigya to yr granny …..she lived in golenagar right,…u see I hv a assignment out of town coming I a few days….oh right I forgot..(turning to pratigya)…I'm leaving in 2 days to masgaon….(back to Krishna)…I don't fell safe to leave her alone in this place….yr granny wont mind will she??

K: of course not…tell me wen…I can then make d preparations for …urm wats her name again

N; pratigya

K: ya that….granma will b delighted to hv some1 around…after v all shifted to delhi she was all lonely

N; u shud hv taken her along

K: she refused…acoording to her. Her doli came to that house now her arthi shud go from it

N: oh

K: so pratigyaji….start packing…when u leaving??

N: day after tomm

So the 2 days passed off, and pratigya was on her way to krishna's granny's house. Krishna who managed to hire a car somehow dropped pratz at the gates of the large house and went off to drop nitin to d station. Pratigya followed the security guard in, expecting to meet a old granny at the door. But went the door opened she found a abandoned house. She turned to the security guard and asked him but he simply replied " this house has been locked up for 2 yrs"

P; but doesn't kris…I mean Mr singh's grandmother live her??

"she doesn't" said a voice behind her"

Pratigya turned to fing Krishna standing at the entrance with his hands in his pocket.

K(contd…): bcse she died 2 years ago

*SHOCK*

Is Krishna joking with her? If not than where is granny? Why did Krishna bring her to a empty house? What will pratigya do now?
