😆 Very nice humorous analysis Hope
I only wish to ask Pearl Grey one thing . [ That is assuming she reads us off and on] ...........She wanted realism in this show and so she chose a state like UP . She showed the mind set there , the way of living there. She showed an issue like stalking there . Then why are the solutions shown to be so unrealistic ?
After the slap we see Angads too goons charging forward saying saali .........till that point its exactly how it will happen in real life . But Professor holding Angad so strongly and Adarsh being a tad stronger than those goons.........goons who do maramari as a way of life while white collared Adarsh only eats home made vegetarian food and goes to a 9 to 5 job in a bank .............highly unreal .
Nainaji's real advices r never listened to by Pratigya. Just look at all the advices she gave her till now
1] Don't marry that goon
2] Fine if ur marrying , make the marraige work .
3] Go back to ur sasural , stretching this issue is not good
4] He is not bad at heart , plz understand him and work on ur marraige
5] You didnt do right by slapping Angad
All these sound , sane advices r rejected by Pratigya and r regarded as 'regressive' by her . She is laughed at by many as a typical serial mom .But actually she is the sanest person there .........What she predicts.ultimately happens . Her voice is drowned there just as Amma's voice is drowned at SS house . Actually , Pratigya is the typical filmy heroine.........all books and no real common sense.

I do agree with what your saying Kools. the situations are realistic but the charachter solutions don't align.

In my mind too Nainaji is very wise. She has said a lot of sensible things and let me tell u having her as a mother is way more preferable than having shyamji as a father as I think Prof Saxena is a big time loser and a flip flop artist.

Nainaji in my mind (inspite of her character portrayal at times) is a grounded warm hearted thoughtful and most importantly forgiving woman. She suggest forgivenss at the right time and expresses disappointment at the right time too unlike her hubby. besides what you have mentioned I thought her action denouncing krishna taking pratigya away at gunpoint was appropriate as opposed to her lame brained hubby who said that the manner in which he took her was inconsequential as long as he took her because this action was convenient for him at that point in time. so basically he thinks being slapped by your husband is not ok but being taken at gun point is fine. total bussa in his brains. I think the decision to support her husband on this hide the truth thing I did not agree with.

Pratigya not listening to Nainaji but worshipping every thing papa dearest says a) seems appropriate as she tends to favour people with higher formal education (no matter their intellect or wisdom levels) and b) because it is a drama - Seriously if she agreed with her mom then we would not see any conflict between the two leads and the show would end.

I know that it sends a bad message for young people who do not have much real life or small town or joint family experience and I feel bad about that too but if their parents allow people of impressionable ages to see mature shows like this then they have to make sure they are there to counsel them appropriately and dispel any false notions they pick up from this show.

Somebody put in a request for moving the show from 10:30 to maybe 9 and I did not agree with that request for the above reason. Actually somebody else on the forum posted this reason too and I pressed the like button in support.

even on the other forum, I remember somebody mentioned that "mature" teens and preteens were not only watching this show but also posting very mature opinions on the forum threads. I think I am seeing that here too, only difference is most people here do not identify their age on the forum so its just an impression I get from their expressed POV.

you know Kools I was watching some old epis of this show this weekend and I realized that this show is like watching wimbledon match of two top seeded players - Krishna and Pratigya. Pearl grey is the umpire

So year I of this show is like Set 1.. and so far we have had 4 games -unfortunately while one of the pleyers ends each game with an advantage there is never a clear winner.

So Game One was stalking - krishna kept hitting foul balls and so Pearl Grey gave the advantage at the end of the game to Pratigya (our sympathy - believe me she had my total sympathy when her engagement to Nitin broke and she was kidnapped and her poor dad had to wash off the signs of the wall and the police case happened, etc)

Moving on to Game Two - Wedding- having made the ill-fated decision to marry Pratigya went on what I could best describe as a fool's mission for which she was extremely ill-prepared and in my opinion she was hitting the foul balls here and so Pearl Grey gave the advantage at the end of the game to krishna (a lot of people who previously were turned off by the stalking and the obssessive love started feeling a thaw towards Krishna because of his repeated efforts to win her over in his own goofy rustic caveman way and his constant protection, accomodation and defense of his wife)

Moving on to Game Three - Pregnancy Farce - in my mind 110% Krishna's fault. he was a fool, fool, fool. even though I can understand his reasons very well. he kept hitting foul balls with the constant lies about the pregnancy, his tricks to support it and his close-mindedness to the larger consequences and so here in my mind Pearl Grey gave the advantage at the end of the game to Pratigya (even though I wholeheartedly disagreed with the way she ultimately addressed the issue at the pooja , I felt bad for her in this round because she made repeated and very very logical efforts to get Krishna to come out with the truth before things went too far and I agreed with all her reasons for telling the truth)

Game Four - Seperation and Angad threat - in my mind Krishna has realized that Pratigya was correct in telling him to not drag out the pregnancy lie and he realizes he made a mistake by not listening to her and so he has made several several efforts to apologize and win her back and get a fresh clean start. In this case I think Pratigya has been hitting foul balls throughout and Pearl Grey has given the advantage to Krishna (inspite of the sneaky things he did related to the pregnancy farce again he has managed to gain our sympathy for his honest efforts at reconciliation and also for his wife's irrational stubborness in relation to the same reconciliation and fresh start and of course the fact that she has agreed to go against her idealistic nature and hide the truth or issue from her husband)

So two more games left before end of Set 1 (i.e. Pratigya anniversary)

Next Game - Friendship track - I guess based on the above trend Krishna is going to be hitting some kind of foul balls and Pearl is going to give the advantage to Pratigya.

BTW, wimbledon aside I think Arushi and Angad are the two main villians in this show

everytime Pratigya subconsciously starts letting bygones be bygones and tries to move on Arushi uses emotional blackmail to reel her right back in and everytime Krishna tempers his macho attitude and tries to win Pratigya, Angad comes with some evil twist and we are back to square one.

Wow, Pearl Grey must be a storm chaser or something - she always has a storm brewing in this teacup😆😆😆

Sorry I was having a restless Sunday afternoon
Hope

Nice analogy here Hope. I think we the viewers who are courtside and closer to court are noticing the errors and poor shots by the two players. Those way up on the stands are watching two players on court moving around and seeing what they want to see.

Bottom line, we the viewers sitting across and behind the umpire Pearl Grey are the ones whose heads are spinning and chances are we could get a sprained neck.😆

The thing that has concerned me the most is the glorification of Pratigya's actions. She lies and hides critical information that affects not just her but by extension her families as well yet she goes the distance with a very selfish outlook on the situations. How does she go about teaching every one else a lesson when she hasn't learned a few fundamental ones herself. Dishonesty is a sure way to ensure lack of trust in a relationship. Withholding relevant information from people breeds mistrust. Trust is paramount to any healthy relationship.

When it was a lie about the fake pregnancy she repeatedly held Krishna's feet to the fire about his lie and the consequences. She warned him it would come back to bite them and he would be solely responsible for choosing to propogate the lie. Yet when her father asked her to hide the truth about Angad's recent visit from Krishna she put up a token resistance, gave in and promised him to do his bidding. Where is her moral compass in all of this? She does the opposite of what she demands from Krishna. She lies, hides things easily from him. Does she have the right to demand of him what she herself is sorely lacking in? Is there any chance of her having a healthy marriage if she treads this path no longer how long she stays married?

To put it simply she has been raised in a hypocritical environment just like Krishna has been raised in an uncouth, uncultured and violent environment. She must remember that people living in glass houses must refrain from throwing stone at others.

mera:

you know when here family was invited for that family function (before the pooja) and guruma came he was afraid to leave her side becasue he thought she would spill the beans. anyways she promised him (just like she just promised her dad) that she would not tell Arushi or her family members anything. But when they were in the room alone and earlier even with her mom she almost told them everything (it was only krishna's interruption that prevented it both time). I think even though she has promised her dad, she might rethink that promise and tell krishna. who knows. thena gain she does not care for Krishna at all but she loves her sister to death.

who knows? I find her generally unpredicatable just like pratigya fans find krishna unpredictable.

Is she unpredictable bec' she doesn't have a clue what marriage means. Is Krishna just a bodyguard when she needs one while she flies solo being superwoman trying to right everyone else's wrong. I don't think she was ready for marriage. The only reason she agreed to the marriage was bec' Dadi gave her hell calling her a characterless woman etc. When Dadi speaks as crudely as SS or Amma, they forgive her and let it go. Yet when SS and Amma who are technically her family now for the rest of her life (unless she or Krishna divorce) speak that way she gets on her joda.

We've seen the Sucksenas lives, they seem to have few friends. Their only friend was Rolli. Arushi and Adarsh have no friends of their own. We saw was Jagmohan and that too bec' they came with an alliance for Prats. Do Sucksenas socialize with friends and acquaintances at all? All three children are socially awkward, they don't how to socialize with anyone outside the family. The only time they did we got to see was when they played pass the pillow game at Nitin's house. They are generally less hospitable as well. The only time Dad offered him something to eat was to avert the "tamasha" they thought Krishna was creating when he came to pick up Prats.

So why are they considered more civilized than the Tacurse who are hospitable and seem to invite people over for a havan etc.

Well said, Pratigya was each and every time pushed into situations and mess that she didn't created so much so the outcome whether good or bad she had to be blamed and bashed for any thing that any one could imagine out of those incidents. I think as a society we all consider women to be inferior to men hence they are always wrong. 😭

there is a fundamental difference between being strong and being rude. between being assertive and being aggressive. to understand this requires wisdom, which is obviously missing here.

We see Angad telling his friends while drinking the night earlier...... . I don't 'love' the girl like Krishna 'loves' Pratigya . After I feast on her , you can have her . . Even Angad , the cruel , malicious stalker and goon knows the diffrence between 'love' and other feelings. But Pratigya as a woman has NOT been able to understand this fact inspite of living with Krishna and experiencing innumerable attempts on his part to support her . .
Then we see Angad listening to her cocky speech [ claps and all] and saying '' I did a mistake by NOT raping u that night . Had i done it tum itni chya chya nahi karti. No problem , I will rectify that mistake by raping Arushi.''
Girls watching this serial , instead of falling for the false glorification of Pratigya's character and realising that she is shown that way for TRPs , should instead focus on Angad's dialogue carefully . See how he described her talk.........'Chya Chya.' It means oversmartness. Thats the way goons wud see a woman if she spoke and acted like Pratigya. They DON"T like specifically those kind of women . The argument advanced constantly in this forum is Angad wud be Angad anyway , had Pratigya slapped him or not . Well , a goon will always be a goon , but if u rile him , u sure bring out the beast in him , the chances that he will go away in a huff diminish rapidly . The Chya Chya that they talk of , eggs them on more to become even MORE BEASTLY . Its like a cobra . if a stone is thrown at him , his hood flares up . The chances that he will observe and slither away r totally gone .
Even that day he told her ........Its not YOU I will rape now , its Arushi . Now why did he say this ?It was Pratigya who was sassing him , Arushi was not even there .Why did he not tell her then that I will rape u and stop ur chya chya for once ? Why ?
Answer is simple .Its not Pratigya that is stopping him , its Krishna. He fears for his life .In his eyes , Pratigya is the property of a goon stronger than him , and that goon may murder him . So he wont tangle with that goon's property .Arushi is unmarked territory and so he will mark it .
Horrible isn't it , this kind of thinking ? It horrifies our sophisticated minds but thats realism for u and thats the way these goons think .

Clearly the difference between goons and an educated girl who married another goon to take revenge. But the misunderstanding is gone and she will try to make this relationship work then rather walking away from it.😆

Doing nothing is even more problematic as this gives these goons encouragement as if their threats worked. They will become almost unstoppable. By the way hats off to her for averting one of the most dreadful event that could have left this family shattered for good.
Even that day he told her ........Its not YOU I will rape now , its Arushi . Now why did he say this ?It was Pratigya who was sassing him , Arushi was not even there .Why did he not tell her then that I will rape u and stop ur chya chya for once ? Why ?

Goons are fearful of bigger goons like krishna and also It was evident clearly that Pratigya standing up bravely against this cheapster had this effect as you have answered your own question below.. 😆

Arushi was a weak link and such goons know which button to press to a family like saxena's to harass them. Partigya not only helped Arushi to recover from the dreadful decision she took of fleeing but shown a way to the entire Saxena family to standup and die fighting. Besides in everyone's life good and bad things can happen any time. If one would accept threats, fearing that retaliating would create a bigger future threats, they are already dead to see any future threats.😆

Horrible isn't it , this kind of thinking ? It horrifies our sophisticated minds but thats realism for u and thats the way these goons think .
