Okay guys here I go attempting to write another fanfic. I will use all the same characters frm Pratigya, but def. not the same storyline...please do comment (if u think its bad, good, ugly, needs improvement, is stellar :P) But am adding a new character, who will be played Nishant Malkani and his name is Roshan....its a bit of a love triangle in the start (but keep in mind im a kriya fan.)
"Come and get them, fresh fresh fruits...come and get them! Ma'am aap fruits kareed lo na?" said the fruit vendor as Nainaji walked past the stall.
"Nahin, mera paas hain," Nainaji said coming off more annoyed than she had meant to. Nainaji was on her daily routine to the supermarket, picking up fresh fruits, vegetables and generally looking for cheap findings around town. Her husband Shyamji, who was a Professor made good money, but because of economic cutbacks on research funding, wasn't getting paid as much as he used to.
Nainaji bustled along through the market, taking in the smells of spices, chai, sweets, she always loved the smells of the market. It gave her some peace of mind in the morning. She finally reached her home, releasing a sigh of relief, although she did love her morning walks, she did get tired very fast.
She marched into the home, setting down her things on the kitchen table. She then began her morning routine, putting on a spot of tea for her mother in law, packing Shyamji's lunch, arranging Arushi's school things, filing Aadarsh's papers and pressing Pratigya's suit which she left out every morning on the sofa. She looked at the red suit lying on the sofa and picked it up. It was quite fancy to her suprise, with beautiful silver embroidery along the border and a beautiful silver brooch on the dupatta.
"MOMMMMM!" Arushi yelled coming inside the living room and Nainaji began to iron the suit.
"Kya hua Arushi? Itna chila kyun rahi ho?"
"Mom, mujhe bukaar ho raha hai, aur woh bhi aaj hi hona tha- yeh aap didi ka suit press kar rahi ho?"
"Haan, teek hai, agar tum bimar ho tho aaj school math jaana, vaisa bhi ek din sa kya-"
"Nahin nahin nahin, aaj tho mujhe jaana hi hoga."
Nainaji looked at her daughter confused, shrugged her shoulders and went back to ironing. Arushi and Pratigya went to the same university, whereas Arushi had just started in the English department, Pratigya was finishing up her last year in the psychology department.
Soon after Shyamji walked into the living room, he looked at Arushi eating at the table and his wife hanging up Pratigya's ironed suit. He smiled at his wife, always so busy and hardworking and yet never letting anyone have a moment to complain about her. He smiled as he walked up to her.
"Ji aap, aap thayar hai na? Chalo tumko main chai aur-"
"Nainaji aap itni chinta kyun karthi ho? Main khud chai kitchen maan jaaka leh sakta hun."
Nainaji smiled, her husband was always such a nice, courteous man, he walked into the kitchen and she followed.
Just then Pratigya walked into the living room and made her way to the table, grabbing some breakfast off the table.
"Chyea...so red eh? And you told me you weren't going to participate last night," said Arushi as Pratigya sat down.
"Shhhh, can you keep your voice low? Were not the only ones who live here you know. And anyways I figured it my last year on campus...kyun nahin?"
"Yea but you do realize what the theme is for this Valentines right, all the singles and looking wear red, all those in a relationship wear pink and all those who are single and aren't looking wear white...har saal tho tum white pehen ka jathi ho...aaj ajanak red kahan se aa gaya?"
"Wow actually na main...yeh chor which colour are you wearing?"
"Well I am wearing white, Pratz don't avoid the question...why red? Are you looking??" Arushi asked shocked.
"Well...bhaiya!"
"Main tumhari behen hu, bhai nahin," said Arushi, but as she looked up she saw Aadarsh had entered the room. "Oh," Arushi said giggling.
"Morning ladies! Where did mom leave my files, I have to run, skipping breakfast, tell mom I say bye." Aadarsh said spouting so much in a matter of seconds. He saw his files on the table and smiled and then ran out.
"Woh khaana kana ka bigaar hi chala gaya aur tum dono na usa-" Nainaji said rushing into the living room.
"Mom....shanti shanti" Arushi and Pratigya said together laughing. Nainaji just shook her head and walked back into the kitchen. Pratigya got up and grabbed her suit and went to her room.
Later on, Pratigya was standing in her red suit, looking at herself in the mirror, she fixed up her makeup and ran her hand through her hair (which was now wavy after she had styled it.)
Arushi came up behind her and looked confused, "seriously Pratz, yeh saab..."
But Pratigya wasn't paying attention, she kept looking in the mirror smiling. Arushi rolled her eyes and walked away. Pratigya smiled once again...and said "aaj tho tumhe mujhe notice hi karna ho ga..."
