Part 12

Angad created a mess,in the darkness of night,he and his friends pasted some posters in front of Saxena House.

"PARTIGYAJEE,I LOVE YOU,KRISHNA"..it was written in the poster,in large fonts. Pratigya became shocked,Shyamjee started to cough,Nainajee started to shed tears..Adarsh got violent..anyhow Shyamjee calmed him down.Adarsh went and removed all posters,everyone in the neighbourhood was staring at Adarsh. Krishna?Who is the boy who loves Shyamjee's daughter Pratigya?

"Haan..us ladke ko is ghar me do baar aate dekha hai humne..Thakur Sajjan Singh ka ladka hai..uski nazar hai Pratigya par...pata nahi ab kyaa hoga.."..people were throwing these kind of comments..

Pratigya heard everything,she saw everything,but didn't react.Her blood was boiling,it was too much,Krishna went too far..it is very obvious that Krishna did it to make her feel in a tight position,first he got a tattoo of her name,now the poster fiasco..

Krishna was waiting for her,as usual..she came out from the University premises.. "Pratigyajee",he smiled.Pratigya didn't bother,she walked straight."Arre.. Pratigyajee..suniye toh.."..Krishna chased her...

"Ab kyaa hai?Mujhe pareshan karne ka koi bhi mauka nahi chhodna hai aapko? What the hell is this?"..Pratigya shouted..

"Aapko pareshan karenge?Hum?Nahi..aap bataiye..koi aapko pareshan kar raha hai kya?Bata dijiye..uski shakal bigaad denge.."..Krishna offered help..

"Tum kaafi kuchh bigaad chuke ho..meri zindagi ka..yeh sab kyaa laga rakha hai? Apne haath me mera naam likhva lia tumne..aur aaj subah uth kar mujhe yeh dekhne ko milta hai k mere hi maholle me tumne poster laga rakha hai..jisme likha hai PRATIGYAJEE ,I LOVE YOU..yeh sab kyaa hai?Baat tumko samajh me nahi aati..jo tum chaahte ho..waisa kabhi nahi hoga..."..Pratigya said rudely..

"Ek minute..kaa keh rahi hain aap?Poster?Hum?Nahi..humne aisa kuchh nahi kiaa.."..Krishna retorted..

"Toh main jhoot bol rahi hoon..?Mere maholle me sab ko dikh gaya..pata nahi kyaa soch rahe hain sab mere baare me..kaisi kaisi baatein chal rahi hai..par tumhe in sab se kyaa...tumhe toh apni manmaani karni hai..right..?"..Pratigya shouted..

"Humara yakeen maaniye..humne aisa kuchh nahi kia..jis harkat se aapki beizzati ho hum aisa kyun karenge..humne nahi kia.."..Krishna explained...but Pratigya was too angry to listen to him...she just walked out..Krishna was trying to stop her..."Pratigyajee..baat suniye...hum aisa kuchh nahi kie hain..Pratigyajee...." ..Krishna held her wrist..."Aapko humari baat sunni hogi..aap is tarha humko ghalat samajh k nahi jaa sakti..."..Krishna said in a firm voice..

Pratigya saw that everyone was looking at her ,some were having curiosity..some were smirking,some were smiling..Pratigya felt very insulted..she shoved Krishna's hand off..and slapped him tightly on his face..Chandu and Tunna just arrived in search of Krishna..they also saw the scene...Krishna raised his hand to slap back.. but he stopped..Pratigya's eyes became red..with a mixed effect of anger and fear...Krishna's angry eyes met those eyes...

Pratigya recollected herself and said ,"Tum hoge koi Thakur k Bete..par meri nazar me tumhari aukat itni hi hai..agar..fir kabhi tumne aisa vaisa kuchh kia..jisse log tumhare naam k saath mera naam jode..then God help you..yeh thappad agar bachpan me tumhare Maa ya Baap ne mara hota..toh aaj tum itne bigde hue nahi hote..aur ainda apni shakal bhi mujhe dikhai..dekhna main kyaa karti hoon..bloody swine..."...Pratigya just walked away..

"Bhaiya..ee kaa hua?Bhabhi itne gusse me kaahe gayi..aur aap par haath utha di woh..kaa hua tha?"..Tunna asked..

Krishna gave him an angry look..."Abhi aate hain...tum dono adde par pahoocho.. hum abhi aate hain..."..Krishna chased Pratigya on his bike..

Pratigya was on her highest temper..when she saw Krishna again.."Now what? Kyaa kaha sunai nahi dia tumko..mujhe pareshan karna chhodo.."..Pratigya was about to go..but her hand was pulled by Krishna..Krishna pulled her to make her sit on his running bike..Pratigya was shocked..but it was too late..if she would move, she would have been fallen which may cause a serious injury..Pratigya held the rod in the back side...she had to..she can't even think about to touch Krishna .

"Aap theek se baithie..apne Bhaiya ka kandha jab pakad sakti hain..toh humare kandhe par kya kaante lage hain?Geer jaayengi baithie.."..Krishna said sarcastically..

"Tum humare Bhaiya nahi ho.."..Pratigya gritted her teeth..

"Sahi baat..hum aapke honewale Pati hain..aur Pati ka kandha pakadte hue kaahe sarmati hain aap?"...Krishna smirked..

"Is tarha humara haath khinchne ka kyaa matlab..?"..Pratigya asked angrily...

"Aapko samjhane k lia.."..Krishna turned his bike towards the backside of the University premises...stopped his bike and Pratigya came down ..."Iska kyaa matlab banta hai?"..she asked furiously..

"Yehi kehna chaahte hain hum..k yeh harkat humari nahi hai..jisne bhi aisi harkat ki hai..uski khabar hum jaroor lenge..par aapne theek nahi kia..sab k saamne humen thappad maara aapne...hum aapki itni ijjat karte hain..aapne toh humko beijjat kar k rakh dia Pratigyajee.."..Krishna said..

"Ohh...sab k saamne tumne mera haath pakda..isme meri izzat toh bahut badh gayi na..apni bakwas bandh rakho..tum kyaa ho..yeh main achhi tarha se jaanti hoon..tum,tumhara khandan..sab k sab gunde hain..humen sab pata hai..tumhari har harkat is baat ki gavahi deta hai.."..Pratigya shouted..

"Dekhiye..khandan par mat jaaiye.."..Krishna warned..

"Kyun na jaoon?Sach toh keh rahe hain hum..contract paane k lia Sarkari Officers ko bribe dena..agar woh naa maane toh unko dhamkana..logon ko peetna..yehi toh hai tumhare khandan ka kaam..Thakur Sajjan Singh koi Gangstar se kum toh nahi.."..Pratigya continued..

"Pratigyajee..bahut kuchh suna chuki aap..hum pyaar se baat kie jaa rahe hain.. aur aap..kyaa matlab hai in sab baaton ka..?"..Krishna said disgustedly..

"Ghar k log mere pareshan hain..badnami meri hui hai..sab tumhari wajah se..." ..Pratigya said..

"Poster hum nahi lagvaye Pratigyajee..aur ab toh hum yeh pata kar k rahenge k yeh kaam kisne kiaa hai.."..Krishna said..

"Zaroor..humen bhi intezar rahega.."..Pratigya said mockingly...

"Aapne sab k saamne thappad maara humko...is ilzam pe k humne woh poster lagvaye hain...jo hum saabit kar die..k uu kaam humra nahi hai..tab?"..Krishna challanged..

"Toh?"..Pratigya was taken back..a bit..

"Toh aapko wahi karna hoga..jo hum kahenge.."..Krishna said..

"Kyaa bakwas hai.."..Pratigya said in a raw tone..

"Kaahe..darr gayi kaa?Thappad maarne se pahle yaad nahi tha?Hum pyaar karte hain aapse..ee ka ee matlab naa hai..k aap is tarha humka beijjat karti rahengi.. aur hum chup chaap sahte rahenge.."..Krishna roared..Pratigya was trying to free herself..but Krishna was holding her hand in a strong grip..

Supporters of the defeated party were already angry ,they were passing by the road when they saw Prof. Saxena's daughter's harrasment by a goon hired by the corrupted MLA..they felt free to help Pratigya..Krishna were attacked by them,of course he couldn't fight with the gang as he was alone..he had no choice but to be beaten..within one moment Pratigya's mind became changed...when she saw Krishna's blood..she just ran from there....

Krishna saw her escape..and he felt so down..suddenly he saw Tunna and Chandu were coming...after that, darkness covered his sense..he was laid on a cot..Chandu and Tunna were taking care of him..Krishna's mood was already bad,he thought Pratigya escaped keeping him to be beaten by her fellow students..first she slapped him in public,then she let the public to beat Krishna.He saw the tattoo on his arm,he felt lost and frustrated..he was right,girls are not worth of such attention, once you give them attention they will cause you optimum damage..but all his common sense bumped with a flesh and bone made GIRL..named Pratigya,and he lost all his sense..His father always said not to get soft to any girl..he did mistake for sure.He was not being able to digest that Pratigya left him to be beaten..

He didn't need to learn reading and writing..but he started to learn that,just for Pratigya..he displeased his own father in many ways..just for Pratigya,his whole family was disturbed just because he showed great interest on Pratigya.Everyday he thought about Pratigya since the day he saw her,he always believed that his intense feelings will touch her mind one day for sure,it's impossible that he loves her so much and he will get nothing in return..it's just the matter of time,slowly she will understand his feelings.But from the first day,she rejected him,she declined everything and refused every approach..Krishna felt sad,frustrated and over all.. angry,very angry.

"Bhabhi kaahe nahi rooki..tumko kuchh samajh me aaya be Tunna?"..Chandu's this question made Krishna alert..

"Kaa Chandu tum bhi..unko ghar jaane me der ho jaati..toh woh sadiyal Porfesor jaan nahi le leta Bhabhi ki..sawal kar kar k..?"..Tunna answered..

Krishna found no head and tail of their talk..he coughed.."Arre Bhaiya..uth gaye aap..ek minute..abhi zara Bhabhi ko bata de..k aap theek hain...Chandu ...phone laga zara Bhabhi ko.."..Tunna said..

"Nahi be..ghar pe humri Bhabhi ko kaahe phone karte ho..unko ee sab kaahe batana?Chup se baitho.."..Krishna ordered..

"Kaa Bhaiya aap bhi..Pratigya Bhabhi ko toh batana hai na..aapdono me kaa hua pata nahi..par aap ko maar khaate dekh,Bhabhi daur k aai..hum dono ko dhundhte ..shukar hai hum wahi rook gaye the aapke intejar me..Bhabhi ne hi bataya..tabhi toh itni jaldi main aur Tunna pahooche aapko bachane.."..Chandu explained..

"Hello..Pratigyajee se baat kar sakte hain?Uu..kaa hai..unka note humre paas reh gaya hai..aap unko kahe k chinta naa kare..agar uu note unko na mile..hum kal University me lauta denge unko..achha?Haan uu aa rahi hain..jee jee...haan kaun.. haan..ek minute..baat kijiye..."..Tunna gave the phone to Krishna,"Leo Bhaiya.. Bhabhi se baat karo..Bhaiya..."..

Krishna was surprised..."Hello...hum Pratigya bol rahe hain.."..the voice came from the other side.."Haan..Pratigyajee..kahiye..?"..Krishna cleared his throat..

"Ab tabiyat kaisi hai?Dard kum hua?"..Pratigya asked..

"Hum in sab mamuli baaton se dard nahi hota Pratigyajee..jitni takleef humen aapke bartav se hoti hai.."..Krishna said with a dry laugh...

"Bakwas sunne ka humare paas waqt nahi hai..apna khayal rakhna.."..Pratigya cut the phone...

Krishna threw the phone to the ground,"..Bhaiya ee aap kaa kie?Bhabhijee humko apne ghar ka number de gayi..taa k hum unko bata sake k aap theek hain..aur aapne is tarha baat kyun ki?"..Tunna shouted..

"Tumko kaa ho gaya be..Bhabhijee k chamcho.."...Krishna smirked..

"Aisa mat kahiye Bhaiya..Bhabhijee ki haalat kharab thi..buri tarha se ro rahi thi.. daurte hue hum dono k paas aai..pagalon jaisi lag rahi thi..aur humko boli k aapko kuchh log maar rahe hain..aapko bacha le hum...Bhabhijee kaafi darr gayi thi Bhaiya...aap ko toh hosh tha nahi..aapko bike me bitha kar le gaye Doctor k paas.. Bhabhijee bhi aai peechhe peechhe..rickshaw se...Doctor ne aapko injection dia.. davai di..jab Doctor ne kaha k aap theek ho..tab Bhabhi ne apne ghar ka number dia..taa k jab aap neend se jaage tab hum aap unko bata sake k aap theek hain.. kaafi der ho chuki thi..issi lia woh chali gayi..varna humko yakeen tha..woh aapse ek baat kie bina nahi jaati..abe Chandu..bolo na..kab se hum akele kahe jaa rahe hain..."..Tunna said..

"Haan.Bhaiya..jis tarha Bhabhi royi us waqt..humko toh yakeen hi nahi aaya k yehi Bhabhijee us din Angadva ki khatiya khadi kar di..par aap toh Bhabhi k peechhe gaye the..achanak se doosre log aap par ration paani le kar kyun humla bol die?"..Chandu asked..

Krishna recalled the incident..and remained silent..one moment and so many things happened.."Bhaiya..kaa hua..haan...tab aap kuchh batana chaah rahe the.. kaa baat hai Bhaiya..kaa hua?"..Tunna asked.

"Arre..kisi kameene ka kaam hai..Pratigyajee k ghar k saamne poster chipka k gaya hai..."..Krishna said..

"Kaa baat karte hain Bhaiya?"..Tunna and Chandu said in unison..Krishna told the whole story.."Ho na ho...ee kaam uu Angad hi kar sakta hai.."..Krishna assumed..

"Tension naa le Bhaiya aap..hum dekhte hain..sala..Bhabhi ko badnam karta hai.. itni himmat aa gayi..Bhaiya..abhi chalo..aapko ghar chhod aate hain..",Chandu offered help...

"Saale hum ko kaa samjhe ho be?Hum itne kumjor nahi hai..k do chaar ghoosa khaa kar itne thak jaayenge k ghar jaane k lia tum logon ki madad le..jaao apne apne ghar.."..Krishna started his own bike..and he disappeared within a minute from their vision..

"Kaa be..Tunna..Bhabhi ko Bhaiya se kitna pyaar hai aaj pata chala.."..Chandu said grinningly..

"Sahi hai..dono taraf hai aag barabar lagi...chal be..ab ghar jaate hain.."..Tunna said..

Krishna was laid in his bed,thinking about the whole beings.Thakurain has scolded him a few minutes ago for the injury marks.."Kahan kaa kaa karte rahte ho Baba? Itna saukh hai maarpit karne ka..Baojee ki madad kaahe naahi karte kaam kaaj me?"...

Krishna just ignored all..and came to his room..he was smiling..he changed into his night clothes..and then spread himself on the bed.Pratigya gave her phone number to Chandu and Tunna so that they can inform her about Krishna!Is that so?She cried when she saw him in pain?She didn't escape..she just ran to get help for Krishna as the students were so furious..Krishna misunderstood her,he doubted her intentions..how could he?Krishna felt bad..

On the other hand,Pratigya was crying,she was ashamed of herself..how could she feel sympathetic for Krishna?How her heart melted when she saw Krishna's injury? It was not done..this is not right..Pratigya cried all over the night..
