Honestly, these initial teasers were soo bad that I was really doubting if it was Adnan !! After seeing him as Viaan in KA, I was literally shocked to see his acting in teasers I felt he was forcing himself to bring out the ruthlessness, wasn't coming naturally.

With respect to this teaser, why was he reciting the lines like a school kid ? Carrying the sword on shoulder like cricket bat 😂 and top of that, bgm music

For me it was just those expressions in a natural way like in Katha. When he kicked someone from the balcony in that trailer, the "yah" didn't sound energetic nor sincere.

I didn't pay enough attention to those in bold but, the natural acting he is known for was missing.

Only old gen actors are able to perform, and Devi , main leads are horrible, absolutely horrible, whenever Mallika speaks as Karu and her stupid bhashans make ears bleed. What a dumb woman. How this show is getting 0.8 is beyond my mind. It doesn't deserve even 0.4

About that, I often noticed that Kaurwaki aka Mallika always uses more shudh Hindi than the rest of the cast. It's like she's improvising with her shudh hindi while writers are writing a mix of normal hindi and 10% of shudh hindi only.

You can feel the disparity of it all, from their hindi, to their level of acting and also, body language.

Agree Mallika speaks Shudh Hindi most of the times so may be she is improvising and it actually looks better.

Last 2 episodes, both Adnan and Mallika were shouting and the actual emotions dint come across. Ashok was feeling sad, abandoned, angry listening to Kaurwaki but honestly Adnan couldn't portray it well !

For some reason I felt, Mallika was trying very hard to show anger, grinding her teeth while saying dialogues and it dint look good !

Nobody could explain better than this, her grinding her teeth while speaking is irritating

Show is getting worse day by day . The only constants now are Kaurwaki dumbness , Ashok and Kaurwaki's shouting and bad acting by both actors

Today's episode made zero sense like Ashok being behind the dancer to see her hand tattoo, Helena and Diana brain washing Kaurwaki and Bindusaar's dumbness Cherry on top is Ashok's shouting at the end

Hello everyone👋 I want to ask. Didn't Ashok conquer Kalinga in the 8th year of his reign as Samrat? and that year, Ashok already had four queens. Karuvaki is the second queen. So isn't the notion that Karuvaki became Ashok's wife after the conquest of Kalinga absurd?

@NostalgiaLove, you can answer this. @Watermark123, from what I've heard is that, 8 years after marrying Devi, he actually became king and then took up other wives, while leaving Devi back in Ujjain either she didn't want to come along or there were other reasons. How long after his coronation did he conquer Kalinga, I don't know, but he definitely did conquer it.

Except Popular media, no one calls Karuwaki as Kalinga princess. She probably was married to him one or two years after he became a king. Some scholars call her Tisyarakshita, Ashok's last wife. Other scholars says she was from Kaushambi. So she married him way before the war.
