I had to stop them.
Maasa and Bapusa, they can't be gone.
I had to stop them.
They would burn.
But I'm so cold.
I had to save them.
I can't breathe.
I feel like I'm falling and there's no one to catch me.
It hurts.
It hurts so much.
But it's still so cold. And I'm alone. All alone. Falling.
They were burning. They were gone. Gone forever. Alone. Forever.
Then I hear a voice. Just one.
Shhh.
Then there's warmth. Abrupt and engulfing warmth. I'm not falling any more.
Someone's caught me. I can feel a heartbeat against my own.
Someone's taken away the darkness. I feel it, a calming pressure on my hand pulling me away from it.
Just for a moment, I feel no pain.
