Actually ballu dint believe surjeet singh.. he wasnt even slightest convinced from his talks.. even after coming home he dint want the alliance when he was talking to bansuri.. even when bansuri told him that may be the first wife was lying, or that its ok for gunjan to marry a dicorcee just like she did etc... but then bansuri played the emotional card and said that gunjans life will spoil after this and noone will marry her and that her heart break will shatter her etc..

thats when he got into the net.. he suddenly started thinking only for his sis.. somewhere he wasnt wrong there.. even if bansuri had once said that yes this alliance is wrong.. he wouldnt have cared for the world and stopped the wedding..

with veera again he has no trust issues but he does feel that she is totally capable to doing that she wants to do.. so he kidnapped her, but then again he wasnt harsh.. he could have put her into some dark room in some isolated place and noone would have found her.. but still he tied her up in an open place and even said that someone will sure rescue u out of here.. frankly he himself would have come back to untie her once gunjan was sent away..

now once the truth will be out.. bansuri will try to support him.. but i am sure he will be somehow guilty to see gunjan break down..

and actually if u see when gunjan was dancing with ranvi, bansuri had a irritated face.. but ballu never had any issues.. even if ranjan fall in love, ballu i feel will really not have any problem..

frankly balwant has to show one sign of trust in him thats all for him to change.. he needs balwants understanding to change.. but i guess that job veera will do instead.. he will stand on his feet and prove himself for veera one day i am sure.. and i would love to see ranjan supporting his change..

Baldev is a spoilt brat,and dim...mostly because he does not have any proper guidance...His mother has spoilt him to the core,and in turn spoilt his life...When he was young he used to do some wrong things,whether its stealing money,smoking cigarettes and troubling RanVeera...and nobody stopped him...his mother would side with him and father scolded him did not affect him at all...It was only Veera who with her wit and cleverness ,tackled him...
Bansuri was not a good mother...she did not fulfill her duties as a mother...he is what he is because of her...Balwant was not a good father either...he has always been controlled by Bansuri...and he did not play an active role in shaping his son or daughter's future...and comparing his son with Ranvi at every step of his life,did anything but help...
Baldev and Gunjan are very unlucky as they do not have proper guidance form either of their parents...only two people whom they have got guidanve from are two unlikely people...Ranvi for Gunjan as his friend...and Veera for Baldev,as his foe...

Yup he is emotional... But smtymes he get influenced easily...
Like he was sad fr gunjan but den bansuri manipulate him n he did wt he should not

he is emotional and caring , stubborn but need to become bit mature too...

Hi Namrata, New to this thread.. Very nice thought and post.. And so true.. I like the way they are exploring the grown-up Baldev's character.. The Brother- sister bond between Baldev- Gunjan after the leap is much more interesting.. CVs have shown the emotional side of grown up Baldev in bits & pieces.. He is really protective of his sister and I am really looking forward to his reaction, his dilemma when he will come to know about truth.. Vishal is an amazing actor and it would be a treat to watch him in an emotional outburst' scene..

Yes I agree Baldev is emotional and easily emotionally manipulated as well. He got sucked in when Bansuri was emotionally blackmailing him, pretending to care about Gunjan and her future. She played the "who will marry a girl who's rishta has broken etc etc..." Playing on the stereo types of such situations where girls get blamed regardless of the circumstances.

It is not at all possible that Gunjan will never get married if this rishta breaks!! I mean come on... She is young, pretty and comes from a good family. She is also admired in the Pind and many guys will want to marry her. However if she were to marry an abusive guy, then her life will surely be ruined!! But Bansuri dosen't care about that, and she used Baldev's care for his sister against him by feeding him a load of crap, about how Gunjan really wants this for herself and how her heart will break if she didn't marry this guy!!

Anyways... The bottom line is that Bansuri is an awful mother. Thanks to her, her kids are messed up. No thanks to Balwant coz he never parented his kids the way that he should have. He should have shown more faith in Baldev and also supported Gunjan in her further studies and encouraged her. He should have worked to find out why Gunjan suddenly changed her mind about going to Delhi. If he had... She would be in a similar position to Veera today.

Baldev has a long way to go and a lot of learning to do about who he should and should not trust! Unfortunately for him, he will find out the hard way!!

Bansuri IS her real mother. I remember her once taunting Ratan saying that "Gunjan is her daughter not her step daughter like Veera is to Ratan". (This was when Ratan asked Gunjan why she wants to spend time looking like her Mum at that age, when she should be concentrating on making something of herself instead). Bansuri heard this conversation and told off Ratan by saying she knows what is best for her kids and that Gunjan is her REAL daughter, while Ratan only has a step daughter!!

This is the worst part about it. Ratan being Veera's step mum, has treated her better than Bansuri ever has with Gunjan!! Besides do you really think a women like Bansuri will bring up another women's child? No way! That is why she stopped Balwant from seeing his daughter from his first marriage. Bansuri is a control freak and Balwant gives into her!! With real mother's like Bansuri to contend with... Who needs a step mother??
