Why not in the PV forum? Only because per IF rules, once a show ends, fan fictions are supposed to end up in the fan-fiction forum. I figured - those who are interested in reading will make their way here.

Author's note:
Those not familiar with the places i mention here:

The story is based in Houston, Texas. ("Houston - we have a problem" - anyone?). Home to NASA, but also known as the oil capital of US. What's more relevant to the story - and a fact that Houston is extremely well known for - the city houses some of the best medical talent in the world.

The Medical Centre referred to here in the story is a huge area in the centre of downtown Houston. All the hospitals in the city have their main centres in this location. It also houses the Baylor College of Medicine. The Texas Medical Centre is a hotbed of cutting edge medical research and treatment.

MD Anderson - the hospital where Yash Singh Rathore works, is one of the world's best cancer research and treatment centres. By extension - Yash is a cancer specialist. And i haven't decided yet whether cancer plays a role in the story (I doubt it - but may change my mind).

Rice University is one of the best known universities in Southern US - and in the top 100 in the US (if not top 50 - i dont keep track of the ranking any more). The Jones School is the Business school within Rice University - and my alma mater. Last i checked - it was within the top 50 business schools - and very prestigious.

While i did study at the Jones School and we did have some amazing female profs - Arti Scindia is not modelled on any of them (or at least, not consciously). The details about Rice are from my memory - some things may have changed - but knowing the environs - not much is different from when i graduated a few years ago.

And now - on to updates.

1. I will try to post regularly - at least once a week, if not more frequently.

Wonderful to see you writing on Arya again.
The story foundation is interesting and the first chapter introduces us to it well.Rest after next chappie.
Is arti handicapped or has a fractured leg?well, sorry if I came out as insensitive.I just noticed that her leg (?) is troubling her.

The introduction of the two main characters was amazing the way how Yash observed Aarti daily and offered to help her the way he convinced her to accept the lift, her reservations and Thoughts about pepper spray, then slowly relaxing during the drive I enjoyed this very much.
