Lashy, I reflected on your point about Hakim and I agree you have a valid point there about the believability of his position. But what I'd like to say in his defence was that some people take debacles better than others. Now just because one man is able to hold grudges longer while another cannot I would not judge the former as a stronger person able to set aside sentiment and be strong. It would look like that on the outside, but the question I would be tempted to ask myself is:
Is the person able to slide setbacks off his back easily and is that being read as "too easy going and not as strong" whereas another may be able to hold a grudge longer and be seen as "strong"!
Very true Mansi when you stand back and watch it as a common man...then, even I would never judge the more forgiving one as the weaker one or the more resilient one as the stronger...but here, neither is Jalal a common man nor is Hakim...
When the people in questions are judges - this same principle cannot hold true na... at this point Jalal is a judge and at some point in future Hakim too will have to be a judge... they will have to take firm stance for the sake of the larger good... if not, there will only be mayhem/chaos amongst their subjects - and affect many more lives as a result of it.😊
But after that small cynical approach, if the person is genuinely able to stand apart from all considerations and have righteous angger I would agree with your point totally.
This one sentence you've written resonates completely with me:
"For me the stars of the day were Jalal (for trusting Jo and being dignified) and Jodha (for standing by right)👏 Obviously, I felt very bad for both of them - they'd been betrayed by their own - especially Jodha!"
YUP!!!!😃🤗
The Ben factor in fact is the most unbelievable one for me personally and I'd rather see her go fast because it eats into the credibility of the story for me, even if it was true that in those days there were vishkanyas!
TRUE!... I don't even know how they're going to show it... I don't even know why they brought this track in the first place!
That said, you and I have been crying hoarse about the direction and editing which did see some improvement yesterday, na?
Yes dear...but I would still not give them any benefit of doubt till I see the same for at least a few more tracks...
BTW, the director of JA has won best director award in the Guilds awards...😆
I want them to show Jalal and Jodha as dignified strong characters without having to show the side leads as scapegoats...they have enough villains in the form of MA, Adham, Shareef Abul Maali etc.. 😕
