1. Jo&Co will be humiliated and meted out punishment ( a la Ruqaiyya miscarriage)
2. Jodha will come to know of Maham's involvement, but will not be able to prove anything, or Maham will trick Jalaal into believing her to be innocent (again Ruq's miscarriage).
3. Anywho, all will be forgotten, and Amerwasis will be sent back with all the "izzat" back to their place.
4. Jodha will save Jalaal's life from Benazir (a la tiger track).
5. Jalaal will realise that he's been harsh to her all these days and will want to make peace with her.
6. They will be invited to Shivani's wedding (not with Hakim or Kanghiman, but some Rajput prince). The entire parivar will pack their bags and go. In Amer Jalaal will pacify Jodha through all nok-jhoks (a la Sukanya wedding track).
7. Everything is okies-dokie, they become friends again.
8. I bang my head to the closest wall.
Then End

My twist - Jalaal gets high and gives the new mansabdaari to neither Hakim nor Bhgwant, but to Tej.
🤪

😆 OMG, this makes lot of sense

If nothing else, for the sake of some growth in their relationship I wish we could see one of them doing something logical to save their relationship from MAs chaal

I second that. Instead of taking sides or pinpointing what and how much one has done and the other has not done till now, I want one of them to make sensible/rational decision for their relationship (solely and not on influence). At the end of the day, both Jodha and Jalal have to move forward towards bringing more trust, stability and eventually love in their personal relationship. Hope the CVs make this happen😊.

My dear Lashy and Pals,

The extremely reassuring thing today was that Jalal believed that Jodha was telling the truth when she asserted that she knew nothing about the Shivani-Tejwant affair, NOT because he trusted her, but because of logic. That if Jodha had known of it in advance, Shivani would never have written her that kind of farewell letter.

I was very pleased with Jalal about this, for this was a decision made by a percipient and shrewd monarch, not by a frustrated and lovesick shikari, as Ruqaiya describes him in a cruel but accurate summing up of his obsession with Jodha.

The irony of it was that Mahaam had overreached herself when she included Shivani's farewell letter to Jodha in the bundle of the prempatra. She was rejoicing because the wording of the letter could give the impression that Jodha had indirectly instigated Shivani to bolt, with all that talk of prem being all important. But then she missed the cardinal point that the very existence of such a letter would exculpate Jodha.

So even Mahaam missed a trick there. If she had suppressed that letter, Jalal might not have believed Jodha's pleas, for then it would have been just a matter of blind trust, which he does not have in her any more.

So it is Bharmal now in the frying pan, as Jalal is convinced he wsa lying all along, and it remains to be seen how he gets out of it. The precap seems to refer to the runaway pair, with Jalal harshly proclaiming that they would be punished for shaming the Mughal sultanate and hurting his brother, and brushes away Jodha's tearful pleas (for mercy?)I do not have any very high hopes of his staying the course,. but let us see.

Thanks Aunty. Appreciate and respect your comments a lot. Loved today's episode and was strongly hoping for Jalal not doubting Jodha and voilla it happened.😃
Yes, our emperor is back with his thinking caps. Again, yes, it is because of the letter that he is not doubting Jodha, but I still look for small mercies to see their building trust. One among them was his dialogue with Ruqaiya which meant something like I know Jodha didn't lie because I could see it in her eyes😃 What to do, even small dialogues like these, keep my hopes high.
And yes, bechara Bharmal and the others are in the frying pan. 😃 I am still unable to understand about the Ben-Ja impending marriage though

No, my dear, that is not what he says. He says that even when Ruqaiya was reading the letters out to him. he knew that Jodha was not lying (if she denied all knowledge of this affair) because if she had known of it, Shivani would not have written her such a letter.

It is a judgement based on solid evidence, not a matter of trust. It was this that pleased me. An emperor cannot make judgements based on personal predilections like trust or faith in an accused.

The part you are citing actually goes like this: Mujhe apni nigahon par yakeen hai. Main jaanta hoon ki Jodha Begum jhoot nahin bol rahi hai. Note that he does not say Mujhe bharosa hai ki Jodha Begum jhoot nahin bol rahi hai. He says that he knows, ie as a matter of fact, not of trust.

This said, he does trust her far more than she trusts him. He says so after the false pregnancy affair. But she is so dense and lacking in perception that she does not grasp the significance of what he says then.

In any case, this amar prem is always going to be unbalanced. He will be the lover and she the beloved. Good for her. I never thought she is at all capable of any great romantic passion any way. For Jodha, no man will come ahead of her Ameri parivaar.
