Jalal did have a soft corner for the Ameris. But not when they were wrong. Infact history always says that they were very loyal and correct to him and he was also favouring them.

Jalal has Shariffu in jail for giving ark to Jodha and called it bhagawat against the sultanate; where does Tej's crime stand then - he has ran away with the bride-to-be of the Shahenshah's brother at the 11^th hour of the wedding with the groom waiting at the altar. And people are expecting the King to elevate Tej's status! It will send a wrong message to the riyaya. The Shahenshah's izzat and pride stands and is safe only at mercilessly punishing the offenders.

Why should the Shahenshah want to keep Tej alive and as his brother in law? What would Bharmal have done if they had eloped from Amer at the 11th hour of Shivaani's wedding to some Raajvanshi? Raised Tej's rank and sung glories for their precious love?

If such a thing is shown, it will make Jalal weaker and dumber than he was in the Tasneem track.🤢

What Sharifuddin did was not JUST to Jodha, he did it to BOTH JALAL & JODHA
He used his knowledge of their relationship to cast aspirations on Shehenshah's Begam. It was such an insult that even Jalal could not talk openly about it - it was Mayhem who got it out in open deliberately.

Sharifuddin hoped to get Jodha harmed or at the very least divorced by Jalal. He wanted to convey even with Jalal around his Begam had relations with another man, surely that was a big insult to Jalal

Jalal gave his sister Bakshi Banu's hand to Sharifuddin, all he has done is to plot against Shehenshah, to loot, pillage in his name, to plot against Jalal for his personal gain

What Shivani Tej did was absoloutely selfish and stupid. They of course caused extreme insult to not just Mugal ijjat but Amer ijjat too. Just as Mugals, Jalal & MH were insulted so is Bharmal & family. They are outcasts in Rajvanshis already, this will make them a laughing stock.
Everybody in Agra can call them names

Still Shivani Tej did the stupid action for love, they mean no harm to Jalal or Mugals

They should get punished, BUT now MH will not marry Shivani, unless Jalal wants to get them killed (I don't think here even Bharmal will say a thing, he will leave the decision to Shehenshah) - alive they unfortunately are his relations by marriage. They do not deserve any reward - you are right it will create bad example, but

What Tej did is certainly not equal to what Sharifuddin did.
Once out of jail Sharifuddin will again start on his Bagawat while Tej will not do anything against Mugals or Jalal
