This year we have Thala arriving as well for Pongal/Sankranthi with Veeram ⭐️. After a successful Aarambam, there is so much excitement to see Ajith on screen again within a few months. The reviews are yet to come though. Let's wait and see if the movie lives up to our expectations !

Though there is no denying that the super cool, ultra stylish Ajith can carry off any movie on his broad and powerful shoulders, there is nothing remarkable about Siva's Veeram. With an ordinary story line, an average screenplay and characters that are all overshadowed by one man, the film seems like an ode to Ajith and should be dedicated to all his fans.

Director Siva and team, have ensured that the movie is not just a showcase of Ajith's action and heroism but also a good cocktail with healthy comedy and sentiment in good measure. On the whole, Siva and his team have delivered a tried and tested commercial entertainer which banks on Ajith's screen presence, charisma and entertains for the most part. Verdict: Ajith and Siva dish out a heady' commercial package for the actor's fans.

Siva and Boopathy Raja's storytelling deserves an applaud for it has taken the tested rural story and decorated it with mass, action and most importantly made use of Ajith's enormous screen presence to the full potential. The second half with sentiments and bonding is quite a lag, but on the whole it doesn't jolt you much. DSP is known to have given some excellent mass numbers in the past, however Veeram will sadly remembered only for its aggressive BGM and not the songs. On the whole a complete family entertainer, finish your Pongal rituals and rush to Veeram! You ain't gonna regret it!

Ajith and director Siva have made sure this time that Veeram will be a special Pongal treat for 'Thala' fans and also for general masses. Veeram is outright unapologetic mass movie to be enjoyed without any restraint. Congrats to Ajith, Director Siva, and team for making a very engaging movie from start to finish. This is one of Ajith's most engaging movies in recent times and caters to all sections with right mix of all commercial elements. Ajith's screen presence, comedy scenes, love portions with Tamannah and aggressive action blocks will ensure that you won't regret Veeram. Make sure to catch Veeram this 'Thala' Pongal with your family.

My Veeram Review :

1st Half: Movie starts with an Lovely intro of Thala, One of the best intro for me ❤️, Super Cute. The first half filled with Sentiments and comedies. Sentiment Scenes rock. The Reason behind White hairs of Vinayagam (Thala) is said which is so touching. Tammu intro is lovely. Santhanam is a home lawyer 😆 You peoples will love him . The scenes between Tammu and Thala Lovely. Vinayagam brothers comedies along with Santhanam Enjoyable. Overall First half will make u laugh so much.

Negative of first half : The Duet Songs did not click , it spoils some of ur time.

2nd half: Here is where the story actually begins. More action and some Sentiment scenes again. Thambi Ramiah though for some time has done his role perfectly. Ajith's Punch dialogues lovely , Manily his " En Aalungala thodanumna enna thaandiii thodra Paakalam " . NAsar as father of Tammu excels. The 2nd half never seamed boring.

A must watch movie . This Pongal surely it is Veeram Pongal.

Thala: What to say about him. Perfect ❤️ . Thanks to Siva for Showing Thala in traditional look , got to see him last in Attagasam. The role suits him perfect. And his salt-pepper look no one can carry this perfect except him 😎. The train stunt he does OMG I was scared , I would ask him as a die hard fan never to take risks. His comic timing and his gramathu dialogues ❤️ and His daredevil Stunts. Thala best as always no flaws ❤️

Santhanam: Back with a bang after his recent failure in comedies , U poeples will love him he rocked , His one liners damn 😆. Best of Santhanam for me

Vinayagam brothers: Role done perfectly by everyone, Their action comedies good

Tammanah: Thought i wont like her but she is Back too ❤️ , Her chemistry with Thala is lovely ( Except duet songs 😆 , the only thing i hated in the movie ) Happy for her, hope we get to see her more .

NAsar : Though for a less time , he is best as usual , his dialogues towards end 👏

Thambi Ramiah: Lovely as usual

And above all Siruthai Siva is called Veeram Siva now.It says it all .

Watch in theatres , u will enjoy .

My Veeram review:

Its also another old wine in new bottle story but its something new for Ajith hence it works out for him. Story is about 5 brothers, Ajith being the elder one hates marriage as he fear DIL may cause a rift among the brothers while the brothers along with Santhanam tries to get him "married" off so they can settle down with their loved ones. Tamannah is the chosen one and situation makes them fall for each other and twist comes after love confession. Ajith and his brothers are into violence while Tamannahs family is "allergic" to the word violence, blood, etc. Will he give up his violence side for his love or will it haunt down his happiness?

For once it was good to see the comic and romance side of Ajith after a long time in a pakka villager role. He suits the role of Vinagyam in white and white vesthi, salt and pepper look <3. Only one person can carry off this look in recent Indian cinema. His screen presence and the punch dialogs stands out. Santhanams comedy is a big plus point along with Ramaesh Khanna, the 4 brothers and Thambi Ramaiyya. Apart from title, theme and kuttu song, rest of the songs were dull but it was placed in suitable scenes and DSP made it up by giving awesome background music. Tamannah was for once bearable after a long time. No overacting and she shared good chemistry with Ajith. Villains were given powerful introduction but looked like two dummies who lost to Ajith each time :v Main villains role should have been sketched better instead of weak back story for the enmity because Atul is a good actor who would have pulled off a strong characterization. Rain sequence was nicely done and one of the high lights of the movie because the stunts were done by none other than Ajith himself :D

Jilla and Veeram has a lot of violence since both are commercial entertainer for respective fans and general audience. Official ratings has been unfair by rating Veeram and Jilla equally because Veeram is more suitable for family and general audience with comedy, romance, sentiments and action.
