CHAPTER-8.
A stunned Shlok Agnihotri stared and stood staring at the blanket covered form of his wife,or so called wife.
A few minutes elapsed before his sanity returned along with an undeniable and extreme rage..He clenched his hand into tight fists,as the undeniable insult pierced his fogged senses.
He turned with all the fury,and entered the bathroom for the much needed cold shower,that his throbbing body needed at that moment along with the time to calm down that his enraged mind needed too..
THUD!
Astha did not flinch a bit,at the loud noise of the bathroom door banging shut..Strangely she did not feel the satisfaction that she should have felt too..No sense of victory engulfed her like it should have..
A silent tear fell down her cheek which she quickly wiped away..
She had to be strong..And today even though she had almost lost to the undeniable passion her husband had aroused in her,but finally she had won due to her revolting brain..
And this will not be her last win,she promised herself ,as slowly sleep took over her senses..
The next morning Shlok awoke to an empty room..
Sunlight made him squint his eyes..He waited to hear the familiar sound,but no such sound came..
No tinkling sound,he realised with a frown..
He turned towards her side..She was not there too..Nor was her teddy bear there..
A strange feeling of frustration made him clench his jaw,as he got up to freshen himself..
As Shlok hurried for breakfast his eyes travelled around looking for a trace of her..
Shlok sat at the breakfast table as his mother served him food..Still he did not see her..
Where was she?!
A coughing sound interrupted his thoughts..
"Are you looking for someone Shlok?"A smiling Varad asked him..
"Uh..Ummm..No..I was..-"
Varad grinned more broadly at watching Shlok stammer..
Embarrassed Shlok quickly finished his breakfast,and was about to leave the dining when his mother's voice stopped him..
"Shlok beta!You need to bring Astha from her parent's place in the evening..Don't forget dear.."Anjali's voice stunned Shlok and answered the questions in his mind at the same time..
Astha has left for her parents without me?!!He almost blurted out loud.
Clenching his hand tight he strode out of the house..He was getting more and more irked..
Shlok's car screeched out of the parking lot..
Unmindfully he drove on..But strangely and co-incidentally after driving roughly for about an hour,he found himself parked in front of Astha's parent's house..
"Astha beta where are you going?!"Kalindi Kirloskar,Astha's mother,called out as Astha ran up the stair case.
"Ayi I have some urgent work,I'll be back!"
Astha closed her bedroom door and locked it,as she quickly received the call on her silent but vibrating cell phone.
"Hello?Finally you called!Do you know how eagerly I've been waiting for your call?!"She walked towards the balcony,her face lit up by a beautiful smile.
Astha was completely unaware of a long dark shadow hidden within the long curtains of her bedroom.A heavily breathing Shlok hid behind the curtains,out of breath,as he had just climbed up the pipe to Astha's bedroom.A strange act for him,born of an unknown yearning to see her,for no reason at all.
But at that moment he could not help but frown at her words.
Who was she talking to?!Whose call had she been so eagerly waiting for?!WHO THE HELL made her face light up with happiness so beautifully?!!
"Yes!Oh I'd missed talking to you so badly love!Yes...Right..Hmmm.."
Shlok was loving the view of her playing with lose strands of her hair and was just admiring how delectable she looked in that green saree..Until he heard the last sentence..
LOVE?!!!!!!Did she just call someone LOVE?!!Had she forgotten she was his,Shlok Agnihotri's legally wedded wife?!!And who the hell was the person on the other line..?!!!!Shlok gritted his teeth,and clenched his hand into tight fists,as unbearable rage started taking over him.
He was just getting ready to snatch the phone from her hand,when she pouted her lips..
Shlok gulped a knot of tension..Her pouty rosy lips diverted his attention from his anger for a few seconds..
"But you just called me!!"A few seconds pause as she listened to the person on the other side,and Shlok got irritated some more as she bit on her soft juicy lips some more,distracting him once again.
"Him?!!Eeew!He can never even come close to you!The Shlok Agnihotri only looked good in that magazine!In reality he is..He is-..Just forget about him!"
Shlok's eyes nearly popped out at the clearly disgusted expression she gave.
WHAT THE HELL!!!Did she just say she finds me unattractive and prefers someone else?!!Shlok was sure by now that he had to confront her when the bed room door was knocked loudly.
"ASTHA BETA!YOUR BABA IS HERE!COME AND MEET HIM!"
"Okay love I'll talk to you later love!Bye!"And before a shocked Shlok could react or act further from his hiding place she had ran out of the room,banging the door shut behind her..
Illogical but undeniable anger took over his senses,as he thought about the conversation he had just overheard.
Shlok knew what he had done was dumb and totally out of his character..Climbing pipes to enter a girl's bedroom was never Shlok Agnihotri's style of wooing a girl.If he had wanted to woo anyone ever that is..But still..
He had just wanted to see a glimpse of her and then leave as quietly as he had come..After all,she was his legally wedded wife..His responsibility..His duty..His Astha-..That is his wife Astha..He had justified to himself as he had stealthily climbed into her bedroom on the first floor..
But now as he climbed down he had something completely different in his mind..Astha had to be taught a lesson..
Especially for making him dance a merry dance last night,he thought with a strange light burning in his dark eyes.
"Astha beta!Please see who is at the door.."Avdhoot,Astha's father requested as he was busy looking into some files.
"Who came at this odd time?!How can people-.."A grumbling Astha opened the front door."Strange!No one is here!"
She carefully stepped out to check properly,but on finding no one turned back.
"Must be some children playing prank!Wait!I'll-"Before she could finish her sentence she was whirled around and pushed against the wall behind the door.
Breathing heavily a wide eyed startled Astha stared into a pair of dark familiar eyes..Her shocked exclamation muffled by a large male hand on her mouth..
She watched with wide eyes as he came closer to her..His other hand wrapped round her waist,as he pulled her harder against his hard male body.
His full male lips quirked in a winning smile,as he brought his mouth closer to her ear..
He blew tendrils of her hair over there,making her skin tingle with an all familiar sensation..
His lips brushed against her sensitive earlobe making hot electric sparks run through her body..
Astha closed her eyes as a familiar husky voice whispered into her ear..
"Did you miss me my dearest wife..?"
