That anger and spree of curses was an instant reaction after agnidev flew away with the form of energy that supposed to give birth of their (Mahadev-Parvati's) Son.

I think that was when Indra arrognatly told off Bhrihaspati and so Ganga tried to reason out when arrogant Indra insulted her too. Ganga left Swarga in an arguement.
Ofcourse when she descended down on earth, Shiv caught her in his jata to control her force and came to be called as Gangadhar.

Devraj's insecurity lead him to plan Ganesha's seat with them in first branch to belittle Danava's place, for this action of his later Daitya's mother urged Mahadev to have them (her Sons) an equal place amongst invited guests.. Mahadev agreed to this. And that lead to a Fight amongst Devraj-Deva vs Asura, later to give an equal environment for all, at Diti's request Mahadev announced that Danavas would enter Swarga.

Clue 1: Karthikeya, Mahadev's Palm.
Clue 2: Tarakasur, Battleground.
Clue 3: 6 Head, Karthikeya.

This is when Kartikeya gets injured during the course of battle with Tarkasur and is about to fall on the ground when Mahadev catches Kartikeya in his palm.
Then Mahadev motivates Kartikeya to kill Tarkasur and finally Kartikeya jumps and accomplishes his deed.

Next:

1. Menavati visit
2. Unhappy with absence of Home and cooking in open air.
3. New Bhavan demand.
