Is Bani going to be a good mother?

I know what I should be doing, but I am an ultimate procrastinator, so anything to distract myself with...

Question for you all:

Bani claims to be both a sister and a mother to Pia and Rano -

Is Bani a good mother?

Give your arguments, pro and con!!

My opinion is, I think she is overindulgent with Pia, succumbing to Pia's every whim and fancy and not a good mom at all!!

Parents should love their kids but also be firm and discipline them with a firm hand (Not physically)

Spot on Sheena...as a parent you have to balance your love with discipline otherwise you risk your child growing up as a self-centred brat (Pia anyone?) Bani has been hopelessly indulgent with Pia...her silly kasams to her gfn dead parents have always clouded her judgement as far as her sisters are concerned. But to be fair she has been saddled with the responsibilities of two adoloscent girls whilst being a young immature girl herself.
Being a parent is hard work under normal circumstances, but when you are immature and coping with the loss of your parents as well as playing mum to your sisters; its a very tough job indeed.
From all the Dixit sisters actually, my bet would be on Rano to be the best mother...she's the only one the Kreatives have left with any brains 😆 😆

For me Bani would be a good mother. Yes, she has never hit Pia but she has always tried her best to make her understand that she is not right but alas only people with brains can comprehend advices which Pia definitely can't. If Bani was really a bad mother, how come Rano has good principles and values which Pia don't?

But really, Bani only played a part of mother's role for both Pia and Rano but Bani has never got to play a complete role of a mother. I mean a mother teaches the child to think and a mother creates a person completely. But, in case of Bani, by the time she took the responsibility of taking care of Pia and Rano, Pia and Rano have developed their own thoughts. Bani only played a role of a mother in terms of giving moral support to her sister. You know what I mean. She only played an ounce of mother's role. So, we really can't judge by that if she will be a good mother or not. Besides, she herself was so young, what do you expect her to do and play a perfect mother?

Besides, in general, how do you decide if a mother is good or bad? I mean, a mother could have done her best to teach the best things to the child but the child might have other forces (peer pressure, difficult personality) from him/her to go into bad ways. So does that make the mother a bad one just because her child refused to pay heed to what she has to say and chose his/her own pays to live? How can a mother be held responsible for the child's decisions?

Pri hun, can't argue with you on points 1-3, but the last one is a low blow. No fair!

Normal womens are very possesive about their baby and husband...Bani is abnormal..

I am not accusing her of deliberately causing KW's miscarriage. But just consider what she had been doing b4 that. In spite of medical advise that she needed proper rest, eating, avoid stress, etc. she was doing nothing of that sort.

She was wroking late nite at smoke-filled parties when she could have easily borrowed money from either JW or Pooch for St. Pia's surgery
She was indulging in jasoosi and banigiri for the great cause of saving Munna's property.

Basically everything except taking care of herself or KW.

And mind u she hasnt learnt anything even now her priority is not herself or her kid but jasoosi and babysitting.

True Sims. But when JW fell in luv with her, she could have easily relied on his support and taken some of the burden off her shoulder. I am sure JW would have aided her in putting P-P lives and R-S lives back on track. Now it was her choice to bite off more than she could chew, so why sympathise with her?

Agree with Pri completley on this .

Bani , I doubt can ever be a good mom at all as we have seen her ignoring and letting go of Pia no matter how henious a crime she comits, example abortion without telling her husband, then Raping her jiju, Bani's husband, destroying Banis happiness and life. Even after all this Bani is forgiving of Pia and her mistakes.

Thus I never belive that Bani will ever be a good mom at all, as I beleive that when she does have Krishna , just like she ignores her husbands feelings, needs, emotions, she will do the same to her childs needs, feeling , emotions as for her her sisters and her GFN parents Kasamse come first for her, no matter what.

I have to say that a mother is responsible for her child's actions/behaviour to a large extent especially till the child becomes an adult. Children need to be brought up with a lot fo love and care but as a responsible parent you also need to set boundaries for your child and shape his behaviour. There are certain things that are just not acceptable and you have to enforce that discipline…what those boundaries are and how they are enforced is entirely dependant on the parent.
I also believe that you need to make your child responsible for his actions and realize the consequences of those actions. Bani has never done that with Pia and is consequently suffering the consequences herself along with JW.
